Jyu grew more and more panicked when he saw Taffie's supply pouch.
"What are they going through?"
Without any hesitation, Jyu immediately fastened the supply pouch to his waist. He then ran straight toward the west, breaking through the remaining storm. Sand still swirled in the air, but Jyu pushed through it without fear.
His running was fast, but it drained his energy greatly. His feet kept sinking into the sand; the effect of the storm had made the piles of sand in the Darkent realm grow even higher. This truly made things difficult for him!
Who knew how much longer Jyu had to run, yet it felt like he still couldn't find the sea of sand where the Yetis were fighting. He was still trapped among the towering cone-shaped rocks.
But Jyu forgot one thing—he was not careful about his surroundings. Even though there were still several mystical creatures hiding, not yet leaving their nests.
From one of the gaps between the rocks, a mystical creature kept watching him. Jyu immediately realized it; his steps stopped, ready to fight if it had to come to that. In his hand, his black sword had already appeared.
"I've been waiting for you, boy!" said the mystical creature as it stepped out from the rocky gap.
"You must be coming here to close the dimensional portal, right?"
Jyu recognized this mystical creature. It was Orbizo. But what the scaled monster said shocked him. "How does he know about our plan?"
"No need to be confused, I'm the one who leaked your power to my master," Orbizo explained while laughing.
"Do you remember when we first met?" the demon said again.
Jyu immediately recalled that time. He remembered his first fight with Orbizo. With Kuma's power, Jyu had managed to injure Orbizo seriously.
"Of course I remember. Didn't I smash that ugly face of yours?" Jyu said, trying to mock Orbizo.
It was clear that Orbizo was angry. Now he had already attacked with his massive sword. Jyu dodged and counterattacked, but Orbizo managed to block it well.
Now the two fought brutally, but Jyu had truly begun to match his enemy's speed. The training at the DV Army academy had truly succeeded in making him stronger.
"You've grown stronger now, boy," said Orbizo.
"Yes! I came here to kill you," Jyu replied firmly. He immediately launched an energy slash attack; a black flash shot rapidly toward Orbizo.
Orbizo managed to dodge before the attack could slice his arm.
"What did you mean earlier? What did you mean by leaking my power to your master?" Jyu shouted.
"Hahahaha! My kind has sought your ugly puppet for years. Now is the time for us to conquer you humans," said Orbizo.
Jyu's mind immediately processed all of Orbizo's words. If that was true, it meant Kuma had indeed been targeted from the very beginning. Perhaps Orbizo had been a spy tasked with finding Kuma.
Moreover, if the mystical creatures already knew the plans of Jyu and his friends, that meant their presence had been known from the start. Perhaps Taffie and Sizhi were currently fighting powerful enemies.
Damn! If that's the case, it feels useless that only the three of us came to the Darkent realm, Jyu thought in confusion.
I must meet Taffie and Sizhi immediately to tell them everything.
A second later, Jyu summoned Kuma.
"Grrr!"
"We have to kill him as quickly as possible. Beat him like when we trained against Master Jenna," Jyu ordered Kuma.
Seeing Kuma appear, Orbizo immediately stared at it. "So that ugly puppet finally shows up."
"Don't mock him like that. You're not any more handsome than Kuma," Jyu shouted as he began attacking again.
But Kuma attacked first. Now his run resembled a bear about to pounce on its prey. The pounding of his feet was powerful and agile. His movement was like a lion chasing a boar.
Orbizo did not stay still. He immediately attacked Kuma. But Kuma managed to dodge, and with his speed, he even managed to slash Orbizo's face with his claws.
The next attack came. Jyu leaped high and slashed at Orbizo. Unfortunately, Orbizo didn't have time to dodge; he could only block the attack with his sword. The clash of the two blades produced a loud, painful sound.
Jyu did not continue slashing. He immediately landed and delivered a punch to Orbizo's stomach. With the power of his soul core gathering in his fist, the attack managed to send Orbizo flying several meters.
Blood came out of Orbizo's mouth, and he quickly wiped it with his hand. "Your power has grown rapidly, very well!"
Suddenly, Orbizo's body began to release a red energy. This energy enveloped his entire body, and surprisingly, his body grew larger. His fangs and claws became longer, his muscles tensed, and the glare in his eyes grew even more terrifying.
Jyu prepared himself to receive any attack. "In this situation, I must stay calm. My victory will come if I remain calm."
Sure enough, Orbizo attacked quickly. In an instant, his sword had swung down from above. Jyu dodged to the side; the slash struck the ground, creating a large crack, and sand burst into the air. It was extremely powerful!
If I get hit by that attack, I'll definitely die, Jyu became even more cautious.
Orbizo came again, this time even more ferocious.
"Kuma, use your illusion!" Jyu ordered.
Kuma, who had been observing his master's battle, began moving again. But Orbizo noticed this; in an instant, he turned and attacked Kuma.
A slash headed straight for Kuma's body. But now Orbizo had already been trapped in Kuma's illusion. In Orbizo's mind, in front of him was now a cute teddy bear puppet.
"Anyone with a brain will be trapped in Kuma's illusion!" shouted Jyu as he successfully slashed Orbizo's chest with his sword. Fresh blood instantly burst out.
A second later, Orbizo regained his senses. At that moment, the pain spread through him, a sharp sting in his chest.
"I was tricked!" he said angrily.
Jyu did not expect that his attack was still not enough to kill his enemy. "My slash wasn't deep enough!"
Jyu did not want to waste any more time. He immediately ran, intending to attack again. "This is my final attack!" he shouted.
But Orbizo was quite clever. Instead of attacking, he slashed the ground, and instantly the sand in front of him flew like waves. He hid behind it!
This strategy succeeded in confusing Jyu. But in the middle of that confusion, from behind the spread of sand in the air, a large hand suddenly grabbed his neck. Orbizo had caught him!
Jyu was in pain, almost unable to breathe. But he refused to surrender. Now he thrust his sword deep into Orbizo's stomach. Unfortunately, this scaled monster still refused to fall.
As the spread of sand began to fade, with a cruel smile, Orbizo prepared a deadly attack. Quickly, his right hand swung the sword and slashed Jyu's chest. The red-haired youth was thrown back, and blood burst from his chest.
"That's my revenge, boy!" shouted Orbizo while laughing loudly.
"Now only that ugly puppet remains," he said again. Orbizo then turned around and prepared to attack Kuma.
