"You could show even half of this attitude in front of that person and she wouldn't be able to do anything to you," Giselle Frost said indifferently. Her voice clearly carried suppressed anger, yet it was impossible to tell whether the words held any kindness or malice.
Elias could tell. At the very least, there was definitely no kindness in them.
It was only Giselle's personality and upbringing that stopped her from cursing. Otherwise he suspected he might have heard a cold "whore" come out of her mouth too.
But Serena Blackwood had paid. She had given him ten million dollars. She was the client, so of course he would obediently follow her into hotels.
From the disgust in Giselle's eyes, Elias realized he had misunderstood. The reason she brought him to the hotel was so he could stay here for a while until the marks on his body faded before going back, to keep anyone else from seeing them.
In the original plot, "Elias" had indeed wanted to escape everything at this point.
