All throughout the five days, investigations went on. Servants were talked to; the nobles who came and went were interviewed, but nothing came up about the two murders, not even a weapon, a name, or a means of death.
By the time the day died down, the princes were staring at each other with suspicious eyes, all except for Rain. Rain was the omega, the weakling who couldn't protect himself, let alone kill a man, and now they had two bodies.
Rain had only two guards left after sending the other twelve to protect his mate, unlike his brothers, who had manpower.
Even the king looked at his alpha sons differently.
Before everyone retired to the comfort of their chambers that night, Victor was announced into the king's private chamber.
"Greetings, Father," Prince Victor said softly as he bowed.
