Inside the locked bedroom, Cealan could feel Raze pace violently in Rain's mind like a trapped beast with no escape routes.
Time went on, but Rain still refused to speak, open the door, or come out, and Cealan was growing restless. He didn't like the frustrated feeling he was getting from their bond.
One minute, Rain felt as though his thoughts were collected, and the next, his mind was all over the place. But in the last hour, he was calm, and Raze seemed to have settled a little.
But then suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the walls, and without thinking, Cealan sprang to his feet. His fist slammed against the doorframe, but it didn't break or even react, as if something had hit against it.
The wood was hard, but then again, he didn't give up. He came at it again with full force. His shoulders slammed against it, and it came crashing to the ground.
