"Alright, stinky brats, tree-climbing training ends here," Renji said as he clapped his hands while looking at Naruto and Sasuke climbing trees in the distance.
"Gather."
In the distance, Naruto, covered in dirt, ran quickly along the tree trunk while glancing proudly at Sasuke and shouted.
"I'm about to surpass that arrogant Sasuke, there's no way I'm stopping now!"
Sasuke did not stop either. Running above Naruto, he looked back coldly and sneered, "Idiot, you're still far from it."
"Damn it, what are you being so arrogant about!" Naruto's eyes blazed with anger as he gritted his teeth and chased after Sasuke furiously.
The two competed fiercely and neither intended to stop before deciding a winner.
"Naruto, Sasuke," Renji said coldly as his indifferent voice echoed throughout the area and rang clearly in their ears.
Hearing Renji's voice, Naruto's face changed dramatically as he recalled his previous beatings. His steps stopped instantly and he froze stiffly on the tree trunk.
Sasuke also froze.
"Five seconds, that's my patience. If you exceed it by even one second, I will strip off your clothes and throw you onto the street," Renji said with a faint smile that carried a dangerous edge.
Although he was smiling, his tone was completely indifferent.
Hearing this, Naruto and Sasuke's hearts trembled. They immediately turned and ran toward Renji.
If it were only punishment, they might not be so afraid.
But being stripped and thrown onto the street would be unbelievably humiliating.
Most importantly, based on their short time knowing him, Teacher Renji really could do such a thing.
If they were stripped and thrown onto the street, how could they continue living in the village after that?
They would be too ashamed.
In just four seconds, Naruto and Sasuke were already standing respectfully in front of Renji.
"Very obedient, aren't you?" Renji said with a satisfied smile.
Yūgao Uzuki watched Naruto and Sasuke standing neatly in line and softly muttered, "You threatened them, didn't you?"
Naruto pouted unhappily and grumbled, "Tch, even though I didn't climb to the very top, winning against Sasuke is still satisfying."
"Idiot, what stupid thing are you saying? I clearly climbed higher," Sasuke said as he frowned slightly.
He could ignore Naruto's other nonsense, but he absolutely could not ignore claims that Naruto surpassed him.
"What did you say? I clearly climbed higher!" Naruto retorted angrily.
With his hands in his pockets, Sasuke looked coldly at Naruto and sneered, "A mere dead last, how could you possibly surpass me?"
Naruto's teeth nearly cracked from anger. He grabbed Sasuke's collar and said unhappily, "Bastard, what are you being so arrogant about!"
The two glared at each other without backing down.
Sakura Haruno scolded angrily, "Naruto, let go of Sasuke!"
Naruto looked at Renji and asked angrily, "Teacher Renji, who climbed higher?"
"Of course it was me," Sasuke said confidently.
"Who climbed higher is hard to say. Let's leave the result with me," Renji said as he stroked his chin and glanced toward the huge tree in the distance.
The climbing marks left by Naruto and Sasuke were almost identical.
Naruto pointed at Renji unhappily and said, "Bastard, what kind of answer is that? You clearly saw it!"
"Where's the honorific?" Renji said with a faint smile as he raised his hand and slapped Naruto away.
Naruto was instantly sent flying, flipping several times through the air before crashing heavily onto the ground and seeing stars.
Sakura Haruno said irritably, "Naruto, you really don't learn."
"Idiot," Sasuke muttered under his breath.
Naruto knelt on the ground with a swollen red face and apologized, "I am very sorry, Teacher Renji."
Damn it! Bastard Teacher Renji, just you wait! Once I get stronger, I'll definitely beat you until you cry!
