For the past few days Asher hadn't slept as soundly as he did that day. He was literally in bed for so long that he didn't even realize how much time had passed until he finally snapped his eyes open and was greeted by the blinding sunlight facing him directly.
He twitched his eyes and groaned, moving on the bed to grab a pillow and cover his face so he could at least get more sleep, when he suddenly noticed something move from the corner of the room.
"Did that chair just move or am I tripping??" He questioned himself because that would be insane, right? For a non-living thing to move on its own.
Still, he clearly saw it take a step.
Immediately, he dashed upright. His eyes flew to the table and he rushed toward it, picking up a fork that was lying there and aiming it at the unknown silhouette in pure self-defense.
And just when he was about to talk, the light in the room turned on.
He screamed right down to his bones when he saw who it was.
