Light music began playing, shifting from normal hymns into a haunting orchestra that slowly swallowed the entire atmosphere whole.
The grand doors of the hall were thrown wide open, guards stationed around like silent statues. Outside, cars of every kind were lined up in intimidating luxury—GLKs, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Mercedes-Benz, and sleek sports cars gleaming under the light.
Outfits that screamed wealth were everywhere. Expensive perfumes and colognes drifted through the air, scents rich enough to pay someone's yearly salary and still provide a comfortable home for an average person to live in. This was perhaps the first and only time the different clans—usually at each other's throats—were gathered together because of a wedding.
So naturally, everyone wanted to look their absolute best to appease Lord Devereaux.
Especially those who had never seen him before.
They were practically dying to get a glimpse of the devil himself.
