Speak of the devil—at that exact moment, Enzo stepped out from the same passageway Asher and the squad had been staring at for what felt like forever. Just like Xavier, he looked terrible, though not nearly as battered and mutilated. His clothes were torn, blood smeared across his body, and bruises marked his skin, but compared to Xavier, he still looked capable of tearing someone apart with his bare hands.
"You're okay and you could've helped? Where the fuck have you been?" Nolan snapped from the back, tossing the headless corpse in his grip aside with disgust.
Enzo ignored him completely.
The moment his eyes swept across the hall and landed on Alexis, something dark flashed across his face. Without warning, he strode forward like a storm unleashed. Before anyone could react, he grabbed Alexis by the throat and slammed him brutally against the wall. The impact cracked through the hall loudly.
