Ellegaard entered the coliseum and climbed the stairs until she reached the highest stand. From there, she frowned as she silently watched Mitsuki with a look of annoyance, but also genuine curiosity.
Down in the arena, Leona moved several meters away from Mitsuki as she explained the rules.
"Now that we have the attention of half the city, let me tell you how this will work. I'll be measuring your combat ability. Strength and magic are important, of course, but what truly matters is how you use the tools at your disposal during a fight. That's what separates an S-Rank from the lower ranks."
"In other words, raw power alone isn't enough. You need a mind that knows how to use it properly," Mitsuki said.
