Chapter 27 - Chapter 26 – The Island That Flew

The next morning, Ren and Yamato crossed the narrow stretch of sea toward Green Bit. The waters were deceptively calm, shimmering beneath the early sun, but Yamato could feel something moving beneath the surface.

Suddenly, enormous shadows surged upward.

"Ren—!" Yamato began, but before the Flighter fish could breach fully, they froze mid-motion. Their massive eyes rolled back as they collapsed unconscious into the ocean, sending waves rolling outward.

Ren exhaled lightly. "Relax. Just a measured burst of Conqueror's Haki."

Yamato stared at the floating giants. "You knocked them out… without even touching them?"

"Control," Ren replied calmly. "Power is useless without control."

They landed on Green Bit shortly after. The island was lush and wild, thick with towering trees and tangled vines. Yamato scanned the area curiously.

"I don't see anyone," she whispered.

Ren closed his eyes briefly, feeling dozens—no, hundreds—of tiny presences flickering at the edge of his Observation Haki. He lifted a hand casually.

"Yoo, no need to hide. I can see you all. I'm here to ask for help from the Tontatta tribe."

Yamato blinked in confusion. "Who are you talking to?"

There was rustling in the bushes. Then tiny figures emerged—small winged people no taller than Yamato's knee. Their spears were raised cautiously.

Yamato's eyes sparkled. "They're so small!"

One stepped forward boldly. "Human, state your business!"

Ren crouched to their level. "I want to talk to your chief."

The tiny warriors exchanged glances, whispering among themselves. After a brief discussion, they nodded.

"Fine. Come with us. But no funny business!"

Ren chuckled. "Wouldn't dream of it."

---

They were led through dense forest paths until they reached a clearing where the Tontatta chief awaited. The elderly fairy examined Ren carefully, eyes sharp despite his size.

"Hello there," Ren said politely. "I'm Ren, and this is Yamato. We came from Wano. We were hoping some of you could live in Wano."

The chief's brow furrowed. "Why would we leave Green Bit?"

Ren spoke steadily. "We guarantee one hundred percent safety from slave traders. You can live openly. Help us with farms and forests. In return, we protect you completely."

The chief crossed his arms. "How should we believe you?"

Ren sighed softly. He released a controlled wave of Conqueror's Haki—not enough to harm, just enough to demonstrate scale. The ground trembled faintly as every Tontatta dropped to their knees, overwhelmed.

Ren immediately withdrew the pressure.

"If I wanted to capture you," he said calmly, "none of you have the strength to stop me. That should be enough, right?"

The chief swallowed before nodding slowly.

Ren continued gently, "I'm not looking to kidnap anyone. I just want your help in forests and farms. And by inviting you to Wano, it brings me one step closer to my dream."

"What dream?" a tiny voice asked.

"A land where every race can live together," Ren answered.

The clearing fell silent.

"Really?" several Tontattas whispered at once.

"Yap," Ren replied with a smile. "You can send a few to stay in Wano first. After hearing their experience, you can decide whether to move permanently or stay here."

The chief nodded thoughtfully. "Those who wish to see Wano, step forward."

More than a hundred tiny figures stepped out eagerly.

Ren's smile widened. "Don't worry. I'll make sure you never regret your choice."

They cheered happily and hurried off to pack their belongings.

Yamato tugged at Ren's sleeve. "It was that simple?"

Ren patted her head. "Sometimes honesty works."

"So we're going back now?" she asked, her excitement dimming slightly.

Ren flicked her forehead gently. "Don't make that face."

"Ow! Ren, you bastard!"

He laughed. "I'll take you with me to meet Whitebeard. And when I move Fish-Man Island."

Her eyes widened. "Promise?"

"Promise."

"Hehehe. You're the best." She bumped her fist against his.

---

Ren borrowed a pirate ship from a nearby group docked off Green Bit. The pirates protested loudly at first.

"Hey! That's our ship!"

Ren smiled thinly.

Moments later, those same pirates volunteered to "feed hungry fishes." They leapt dramatically into the sea as if it were their life's calling.

Yamato blinked. "Did they just—?"

"Volunteers," Ren said innocently, using telekinesis to guide the ship.

Their screams of gratitude faded into the distance as Ren ignored them completely.

The Tontattas boarded the ship excitedly, exploring every inch. Yamato chatted endlessly with them, fascinated by their speed and strength.

After setting sail, Ren used flame clouds beneath the hull to lift the ship slightly above the water, accelerating their journey.

---

Over the next several days, they visited numerous deserted islands. The Tontattas examined soil quality, vegetation, and water sources with impressive expertise.

"This one is too rocky!"

"This one floods easily!"

Finally, they found an island with rich, dark soil and natural freshwater streams.

"This is perfect!" several Tontattas exclaimed.

Ren nodded. "Then this is the one."

They abandoned the ship, which gently sank into the sea under Ren's telekinetic push.

"Now," Ren said, cracking his neck slightly.

Flame clouds roared to life beneath the island's foundation. Telekinetic force wrapped around the landmass as trees shook violently. Yamato's jaw dropped.

"Ren… you're not serious."

The island began to rise.

The Tontattas clung to trees and each other, eyes wide with disbelief.

"It's flying!"

"He's lifting the entire island!"

Ren grinned. "Hold tight."

For a full week, they traveled across the sea carrying the island through the sky. Birds followed curiously. Ships below panicked at the sight of a floating landmass drifting across the horizon.

When Wano finally appeared in the distance, Yamato pointed excitedly. "We're home!"

---

In Wano, people looked up in shock as a shadow covered the inland sea.

"What is that?!" a farmer shouted.

Toki stepped onto the balcony of the Shogun Castle, eyes narrowing as she saw Ren standing atop a floating island.

Kin'emon gaped. "He actually brought an island…"

Kaido, standing near the shoreline with crossed arms, burst into laughter. "Worororororo! That brat!"

The Beast Pirates stared upward, stunned.

Ren carefully lowered the island into Wano's inland sea, positioning it close enough for bridges to be built.

When it settled, the earth trembled but remained stable.

Yamato jumped down proudly. "We brought farmland!"

The Tontattas fluttered into the air, cheering.

Toki exhaled slowly. "He leaves for weeks… and returns with an island."

One samurai muttered, "Our king is truly… something else."

Kaido smirked faintly. "Heh. Maybe five chances won't be enough."

As villagers gathered around the new land, hope surged stronger than ever.

Wano had gained more than an island.

It had gained a future.
