Chapter 40 – The World Trembles

"Worororororo! Garp—let's have some fun!"

Kaido roared as he lunged forward in his hybrid form, kanabo raised high. He had no intention of fighting in his human form—against a monster like this, that would be suicide.

Across from him, Monkey D. Garp grinned widely.

"Bahahahaha! You brat, you wanna have fun?" Garp cracked his knuckles. "Then come! Let's see how strong your new captain has made you!"

Kaido's kanabo came crashing down.

"Raimei Hakke!"

Garp met it head-on.

"Fist Bone Impact!"

Their fist and weapons didn't even touch.

The air between them detonated violently as advanced Haki collided. Black and red lightning surged, the sea below pushing back as shockwaves tore through the battlefield.

"Bhahahaha… you've grown stronger, Kaido," Garp muttered, eyes sharp.

---

"Sigh… such troublesome opponents."

Borsalino sighed lazily as beams of light fired from his fingertips. His body flickered as he moved at blinding speed, dodging attacks mid-air.

Opposing him, King and Marco fought in perfect coordination.

They moved like a single unit—one attacking, the other covering.

"You slippery monkey, stop running and fight properly!" Marco snapped, frustration clear in his voice.

"My, my… you see," Borsalino replied casually, "my salary isn't high enough to risk my life."

Even as he spoke, sweat began forming on his forehead.

King's flame-enhanced slashes were lethal, and Marco's phoenix body made him nearly untouchable.

Borsalino had already gotten serious.

Yet his lasers passed harmlessly through Marco's regeneration, while King deflected them with Armament Haki.

This was no longer a casual fight.

---

From the distance, Edward Newgate watched everything unfold, laughing loudly.

"Gurarararara!"

Behind him, the Whitebeard Pirates cheered, their morale high as they witnessed the clash of monsters.

Back on the battlefield, Kaido and Garp continued their relentless exchange.

"Bahahahaha!" Garp laughed mid-fight. "I really want to meet your captain!"

He glanced toward the sky.

"But let's wrap this up—the kid over there is getting bullied." conquerors haki coated his fist.

Kaido growled, his focus sharpening.

He had been trained for this.

By Ren.

By Whitebeard.

By constant beatin-ahem Teaching.

His Conqueror's Haki flared violently.

"Worororo! Come then, you bastard!"

He swung again—but something was missing. Still no conquers infusion.

Garp's eyes flashed.

"Fist Bone: Iron Fist!"

"Raimei Hakke!"

Their attacks collided again, but this time Garp's conquer infused fist overwhelmed Kaido.

Kaido was sent flying, blood spilling from his mouth.

Another flame cloud formed beneath him instantly as he steadied himself mid-air.

"I'm not done yet!" Kaido roared.

He charged again, kanabo coated in Internal Destruction Haki, Conqueror's aura raging wildly.

"Damn it… why is it so hard?" he growled.

Garp met him again.

Another clash.

Another defeat.

Kaido was sent crashing back once more.

Garp frowned slightly.

Why is he fighting like this? he wondered than he realised. "Bahahha Kaido using me like a wet stone? Come than " Garp's fist randown on him.

But Kaido wasn't stopping.

With a sigh, Garp stepped forward again.

"Stubborn brat…"

And the battle resumed.

---

Far away, a News Coo finally managed to capture images of the battlefield before escaping.

Inside the office of Big News Morgans, excitement reached its peak.

"Kahahahaha! Finally!"

Morgans slammed the photos onto his desk, still irritated that many of his birds had been knocked out earlier.

He flipped through the images rapidly.

"Kahahaha! Kaido fighting Garp… Whitebeard protecting Wano… King and Marco vs Borsalino!"

His laughter suddenly stopped.

His eyes locked onto one particular image.

King—unmasked.

White hair.

Dark skin.

Black wings.

Flames burning on his back.

Silence.

Then—

"Kahahahahahahaha!"

Morgans burst into manic laughter.

"A Lunarian! Alive?!"

He slammed his wing onto the desk.

"Print the newspapers!"

"Put THIS on the front page!"

"Let the world see what Wano has been hiding!"

The printing presses roared to life instantly.

Ink spilled across paper as headlines formed.

On the front page—King, fully revealed.

Behind him—Kaido clashing with Garp.

The News Coos took flight.

Across all seas.

The world would know.

---

Meanwhile, far above the ocean, Ren continued his journey.

Hidden by illusion, his flaming cloud soared silently toward Sabaody Archipelago.

Beside him, Yamato and Ulti continued their endless argument.

"That's my spot!" Yamato snapped.

"No, it's mine!" Ulti shot back.

"Blah!"

"Blah!"

Ren sighed as he guided the cloud forward.

Page One quietly watched the sea, while Jack remained calm, observing everything.

Above them, the Red Line stretched endlessly.

Ahead of them, fate was already moving.

---

Four days remained until the auction.

In Wano's waters, Garp and Kaido continued their clash.

Across the seas, newspapers spread like wildfire.

And high above the world, Ren moved unseen—closing in on his next destination.

---

Inside a cage, somewhere far away, a young girl sat in silence. Beside her, two figures huddled close to her.

Chains bound their future. Despair filled the air. A king was already on his way. To break those chains.
