Chapter 41 Growing Chaios
Garp and Kaido fought on a deserted island near Wano. Kaido was covered in blood, breathing heavily, yet still grinning like a mad beast. Garp looked at him with irritation, cracking his knuckles as he spoke.
"Tsk… I'm getting bored. Let's stop here, Kaido."
His eyes shifted toward the sky, where Borsalino was fighting King and Marco. On the sea, the warship remained under Whitebeard's watch, unmoving but tense. The entire battlefield felt like it was being held together by sheer force.
"Wororororo… you think you can leave this easily?" Kaido roared.
He raised his kanabo and charged forward again. Garp sighed in irritation, his patience wearing thin as he stepped forward.
"Then take this—Fist Bone: Crushing Meteorite!"
The Conqueror's infusion in Garp's punch sent Kaido flying. His massive body slammed into a mountain, rocks collapsing over him as he was buried beneath the rubble. Dust and debris filled the air as silence fell for a brief moment.
Garp turned toward Borsalino and began moving through the air with Geppo.
"Wororororooo!"
Kaido's laughter erupted again, blood-red Conqueror's Haki flaring upward. The rocks exploded apart as he climbed out, his body battered but his spirit burning stronger than ever.
Garp's mouth twitched in annoyance. Whitebeard, watching from afar, let out a low chuckle.
"Gurararara… so he finally learned it."
Kaido had been pushed to the brink repeatedly—by Whitebeard, by Ren, and now by Garp. And in this relentless storm of battle, he had finally grasped Conqueror's infusion.
"Worororo, Garp… where do you think you're going?" Kaido vanished from his spot.
"Conqueror of Three Worlds: Ragnaraku!"
His Conqueror-infused kanabo came crashing toward Garp. Garp clicked his tongue and swung his fist forward.
"Troublesome bastard."
The kanabo and fist stopped just short of contact. Their wills collided, forming a dense, blood-red sphere of Haki between them. The sky split apart as their Conqueror's Haki surged violently upward.
The earth cracked beneath them, trees uprooted, and shockwaves tore through the island. They separated for a moment before clashing again, this time using advanced armament Haki in rapid succession.
The battle had entered a new stage.
In the sky, Borsalino glanced at the split heavens and clicked his tongue.
"Damn monsters…"
King took advantage of the distraction. His flames extinguished, boosting his speed to another level as he appeared beside Borsalino and slashed. The attack grazed him before he turned into light and shot away.
Marco followed up instantly, his kick colliding with Borsalino's light sword. Borsalino blocked, but winced slightly as pain flared from King's earlier strike.
"Damn it… you're bullying me now."
He condensed multiple beams of light and fired them.
"Yasakani no Magatama!"
Marco didn't even dodge. The beams passed through his phoenix flames harmlessly, while King deflected the lasers midair with precise swings of his blade. Their coordination made it difficult for Borsalino to gain any advantage.
Borsalino's usual lazy demeanor began to crack. He flashed away again, reappearing at a distance before launching another barrage of lasers.
Marco grew irritated. "Oi, light monkey… come fight properly."
King, meanwhile, used the incoming attacks to sharpen his observation Haki, reading the patterns and movements. The battle in the sky continued without pause.
Whitebeard watched everything carefully, his gaze sharp despite his relaxed posture.
Just then, a ship cut through the sea toward Wano.
Whitebeard narrowed his eyes. "Hmm? Someone else coming to join the fun?"
There was no pirate flag, nor a Marine insignia. It looked like a merchant vessel, yet it sailed boldly into a battlefield of monsters.
"Which merchant dares come here now?" he muttered.
As the ship came into view, a samurai stood at the front. A sword rested at his waist, his presence calm yet powerful. Whitebeard didn't recognize him, but seeing a samurai, he chose not to interfere.
Bogard also noticed the approaching ship, his hand instinctively moving to his sword.
"More trouble…"
He was already under immense pressure, with Whitebeard watching them. Now another unknown force was entering the battlefield.
Usimaru turned to his men. "Take the Tontatta tribe to Wano."
The samurai bowed. "What about you, Lord Usimaru?"
Usimaru smiled faintly. "I can't just sit around while everyone else is having fun."
His eyes locked onto Bogard. "A strong swordsman…"
Grinning, he leapt into the air, using Geppo to move toward the Marine ship. Bogard reacted instantly, drawing his sword and sending a flying slash toward him.
Usimaru answered with a slash of his own midair. The two attacks collided and canceled each other out.
Both men landed lightly, sheathing their swords for a brief moment before moving again. Without another word, they shifted direction toward the island where Garp and Kaido were fighting.
In the distance, yet another ship approached Wano.
This one was massive, shaped like a cake, with a face that seemed to be singing. On its deck stood a towering woman, her once striking figure now growing heavier as she devoured sweets endlessly.
"Mamamama… it's been a while since I met Kaido."
She grinned, eyes filled with greed and annoyance.
"And now that bastard became someone's subordinate… after stealing my Devil Fruit. Unforgivable."
