Wakanda. Palace square.

The spatial gate opened silently. The Plumbers' Avengers squad filed through.

"Right on time."

Jake glanced at the faint energy ripples in the distant sky — Wakanda's hemispherical stealth shield running at maximum.

"Welcome, friends."

King T'Challa stood waiting with the Dora Milaje at his back — royal robes, no mask, the composed face of a man who'd already made peace with what was coming.

"If you're referring to the purple madman, then yes — it's time." T'Challa clasped Steve's hand, then turned to Jake. "Leader of the Plumbers. Shuri speaks of you often. She says the technology on your Moon base shamed the entire Wakandan Academy of Science."

"Just natural talent, Your Majesty. Give the princess my regards."

Jake turned to survey his team.

Morale: high. Equipment: a disaster.

Steve's hands were empty. Bucky's arm wasn't fully calibrated. Sam's wings were damaged. Rhodes's armor was scratched to hell. Hulk wore... elastic pants. Torn ones.

"Honestly? You all look like vagrants about to start a bar fight."

Jake shook his head. "This doesn't represent the Plumbers as the universe's most elite peacekeeping organization."

"The Captain needs a shield—" T'Challa started.

"Not the mass-produced kind."

Jake walked to the pile of raw vibranium ingots Shuri had prepared. Tons of the world's most valuable metal, stacked like construction material.

"In this universe, nobody upgrades equipment better than a Galvanic Mechamorph."

Green flash.

Upgrade.

Jake's body became liquid metal — black-and-green circuitry, one massive eye, a flowing swarm of nanotechnology given consciousness. He lunged at the vibranium pile, his body enveloping, analyzing, and absorbing the raw material.

Then he went to work.

"Steve — catch!"

Two masses of liquid metal — vibranium-core, Upgrade-enhanced — streaked toward Captain America and fused to his forearms. When the light faded, Steve wore twin vibranium shields — seed-shaped, edges pulsing with green plasma blades, centers capable of deploying hard-light energy barriers.

"Vibranium core. Plasma edge. Offense and defense in one package."

Steve swung them. The plasma hummed through the air. "These'll do."

"Bucky — new arm."

A stream of liquid metal replaced the Winter Soldier's left arm — black and gold, sleek, integrated. "Gravity-compression servos. Fifty tons of impact per punch. Use sparingly."

"Sam — wings."

Falcon's damaged wing assembly dissolved and reformed as vibranium nano-blades — sharper, lighter, self-repairing.

"Colonel Rhodes."

Upgrade's liquid body flowed over War Machine's armor. "Added a miniature matter printer to your ammo compartment. As long as you have power — your bullets are infinite. Go wild."

"NOW we're talking!" Rhodes shouldered his cannon with the grin of a man who'd just been told Christmas was permanent.

"Hulk — hold still."

The remaining liquid metal converged on the Hulk, forming light but extremely durable vibranium gladiator armor — joint protection, vital-area plating, flexible enough to accommodate rage-induced size increases.

"HULK... LIKE!" He pounded his armored chest. The metallic clang echoed across the square. He roared in approval.

Finally — Jake's Upgrade form drilled directly into Tony's Mark 50.

"Hey! That tickles!" Tony yelped.

"Hold still. Writing self-repair algorithms and energy overload protection." Jake's voice echoed inside the helmet. "Reactor output increased three percent. Don't blow yourself up."

Seconds later, Jake separated and detransformed. Human.

The Avengers stood transformed. Every piece of gear pulsed with faint green-tech luminescence — alien engineering married to vibranium, producing equipment that belonged in no century Earth had reached yet.

T'Challa surveyed the result. "The fusion of alien technology and vibranium. It seems Wakanda's perspective was... limited."

Jake's expression hardened. He looked past the shield, past the jungle, to the sky.

The atmosphere was tearing open.

Dozens of massive black landing pods plummeted like meteors — crashing into the treeline, throwing up pillars of smoke and dirt. Each pod splitting open to disgorge hundreds of Outriders — six-limbed, eyeless, bred for one purpose.

Thanos's army had arrived.

"Gwen — lunar orbital cannon locked?"

"Standing by."

"Hold fire. Let them land first."

Jake walked to the front of the formation. The Outrider tide hit the shield and began pressing against it — a living wave of claws and teeth, throwing themselves at the energy barrier with no regard for individual survival.

"They want war?"

Jake's smile went cold.

"We'll give them war."

"Omnitrix — ULTIMATE ECHO ECHO!"

White light.

A blue alien materialized in the air — compact, covered head to toe in detachable sonic discs, each one capable of producing sound waves that could shatter steel at the molecular level. Floating. Hovering. The air around him already vibrating at subsonic frequencies that made teeth ache.

Ultimate Echo Echo. Evolved Sonorosian.

"Cover your ears, everyone."

Jake looked down at the army pressing against Wakanda's shield.

"This is going to get loud."
