Wakanda. The plains.
"Nuclear energy — FULL POWER!!"
The reactor in Atomix's chest screamed — the sound of a star approaching overload. No wind-up. No technique. Just a punch.
But this punch carried a green nuclear storm that ionized the air into plasma, turning the atmosphere itself into a roaring emerald dragon aimed at Thanos's face.
"For destiny."
Thanos didn't retreat. He planted his left foot — the ground shattered beneath it — and thrust the Gauntlet forward.
VROOM—!!
Power Stone and Space Stone blazed simultaneously. Two primal cosmic forces braided into a purple-blue torrent that met the nuclear dragon head-on.
BOOM————!!!!
Heaven and earth lost their color.
The twilight sky turned noon-bright. A spherical shockwave expanded from the collision point — the vibranium-reinforced ground rolled and shattered like ocean waves. The jungle within several kilometers vaporized. Not burned. Vaporized. Trees that had stood for centuries didn't leave ash.
"DEFEND! EVERYONE DEFEND!!"
Steve slammed both shields together, deploying the largest hard-light barrier he could generate, shielding the Wakandan warriors behind him.
T'Challa — vibranium suit absorbing everything it could — was driven back three steps, only holding ground by digging his claws into bedrock.
"Is this... a fight between gods?" Peter pressed against a boulder, watching the apocalypse. "I feel like I'm in a 3D nuclear documentary."
The crater.
The grassland was gone. In its place — a kilometer-wide depression filled with radioactive dust and energy turbulence.
Two figures remained standing.
Thanos — half-buried, armor cracked, but the Gauntlet steady. Four Stones dimmed for a heartbeat, then blazed back.
Atomix — hovering, reactor slightly dimmed, aura undiminished.
"You are strong, Earthling."
Thanos flexed his numb hand. The indifference in his eyes was gone — replaced by the particular excitement of a warrior who'd found an equal for the first time in millennia.
"Your power is pure and violent. It surpasses even Captain Marvel. But unfortunately..."
The Reality Stone glowed.
"Reality is often cruel."
HUM!
The air thickened to glue. Jake's nuclear beam — mid-flight, aimed at Thanos's chest — transformed into a cloud of red butterflies that scattered harmlessly.
"Modifying reality?"
Jake snorted. "Let's see if you can rewrite faster than I can detonate."
"Nuclear Fission!"
Hands together. Internal compression. No outward beam — instead, a ring of green light erupted from Jake's body in every direction.
The butterflies — Reality Stone constructs — hit the ring and shattered. The energy density was too high. Pure nuclear force broke through the laws of altered reality, reverting the constructs back into violent nuclear streams.
"What—?!" Thanos hadn't expected raw power to brute-force through the Reality Stone's physics.
"ATOMIC PUNCH!!"
Jake appeared above Thanos — teleportation speed — and his fist, wrapped in compressed nuclear energy, descended.
BANG!!
Thanos raised his arm. Blocked.
Bone cracked.
The Mad Titan was driven into the earth by a single punch. The impact registered as a magnitude-six earthquake across the entire Wakandan tectonic plate.
"HULK... WANTS TO HELP!!"
Hulk charged — couldn't resist — leaping toward the crater.
"DON'T! HULK—!" Jake shouted.
Too late.
HUM—
An orange light erupted from underground.
Soul Stone.
Hulk froze mid-leap. His eyes rolled back. A soundless scream — his soul struck by something that bypassed muscle, bone, and rage to hit the thing underneath.
He fell backward. Limp. Will to fight — gone.
"Soul shock..." Jake's eyes narrowed.
WHOOSH!
Thanos erupted from the crater — purple blood at his mouth, but aura climbing. He ignored the fallen Hulk and used the Space Stone to teleport directly behind Jake.
"Your soul is powerful." His voice was ice in Jake's ear. "But I can feel it... you do not belong to this universe."
His right hand — the ungloved one — reached for the Omnitrix symbol on Jake's chest.
"For balance — you and this watch must both disappear."
Purple energy surged. Thanos was attempting to use the Power Stone to destroy the Omnitrix.
"You want to break my watch?"
Jake didn't dodge.
Because the Omnitrix's faceplate had turned red.
[WARNING: Destructive strike against Omnitrix detected.]
[Initiating supreme defense protocol: GENETIC FAILSAFE.]
ZZZT—!!
Not Jake's command. The Omnitrix's own AI — Azmuth's final safeguard — activated automatically.
A pulse of green genetic energy erupted from the faceplate — not belonging to any single alien, but drawn from the raw DNA library of millions of species across the Milky Way. The combined life-force of an entire galaxy, concentrated into a single defensive blast.
BOOM!!!
Thanos's fingers touched the faceplate.
The counter-force hit him like a freight train made of evolution itself.
He was launched backward — and the energy spread along his arm, cracking his skin. Not the golden armor. His skin. The indestructible hide of the last Titan — developing fine fissures like parched earth.
"AAGH!!"
For the first time in the battle — a genuine scream of pain. Thanos clutched his charred right hand, staggering, eyes wide with disbelief.
"What... is that thing?"
Jake floated above the crater. Looked at the red-pulsing Omnitrix. Smiled.
"The crystallization of the highest wisdom in the universe. The life's work of Azmuth, the First Thinker."
He descended slowly, Atomix's armor clicking and popping under residual heat.
"Even the Big Bang couldn't break this watch. You think you can destroy it with a few broken rocks?"
"In your dreams."
Jake raised his hand. The reactor reached critical brightness.
"Time to end this farce."
"Omnitrix — Final Offensive — STARFALL!"
But before the attack could launch—
HUM—
An eerie green magic circle ignited at the battlefield's edge.
Every head turned.
Doctor Strange — who'd been protected at the rear, Time Stone on his chest — was floating cross-legged in the air. Eyes rolled back. Body convulsing. Experiencing something beyond his control.
Behind him, the air shattered like a mirror.
A pitch-black triangular warship emerged from the broken Mirror Dimension — radiating an aura that felt worse than Thanos. Older. More deliberate. More fundamentally wrong.
This was not Thanos's fleet.
"For conquest."
A figure stood at the bow — green armor, blue mask, posture carrying the absolute certainty of someone who'd seen every possible timeline and chosen the worst one.
Kang the Conqueror.
One of his variants.
And he had arrived at the exact moment when both sides were at their weakest.
