Wakanda.
BOOM—————!!!
What had been a war became a natural disaster.
A green pillar of light pierced the clouds. A foot — large enough to eclipse the sun — descended onto Wakandan soil.
The earth didn't just shake. The African continental plate groaned. The impact hurricane flattened everything in a ten-mile radius — Outriders, trees, wreckage — all of it blown flat by the displacement of air that something this vast created simply by standing up.
The light cleared.
Everyone had to look up. Past the treeline. Past the smoke. Past the clouds.
One hundred and fifty meters tall. Red-and-white skin encased in blue cosmic metal armor — heavier, denser, more evolved than the standard form. The iconic fin-crest had sharpened into a trident. His eyes blazed with stellar light. A visible cosmic storm orbited his body like weather that belonged to him.
Ultimate Way Big.
The Hulkbuster armor that had once given the Avengers nightmares would have been a toy at his feet. The Leviathans — hundred-meter biological warships that had terrorized New York — looked like minnows that hadn't finished growing.
"My goodness..."
Rocket dropped his gun. His mouth hung open wide enough to fit a grenade. "Where did THAT come from?! Am I dreaming?! Groot — pinch me!"
"I am Groot!" (I'm stunned too!)
Jake looked down.
The enemy army — thousands of Outriders, dozens of warships, Leviathans circling — were ants. Not metaphorically. At this scale, they were literally too small to distinguish individually.
"The view is better up here."
Ultimate Way Big's voice was heaven-thunder. The air itself buzzed and vibrated.
"ROAR!!!"
Several Leviathans — suicidal under Chitauri command — charged at Jake's head, attempting to ram the giant with bodies that could topple buildings.
"Scram."
Jake waved his hand.
SLAP!
Like swatting flies.
The hundred-meter beasts hit his palm and flattened — compressed by kinetic energy into iron pancakes that exploded in showers of blue blood and metal fragments.
Jake grabbed a Leviathan that was trying to coil around his neck.
"Into bondage?"
He pulled.
RIP——!!
The beast — biological armor rated to survive atmospheric reentry — tore in half like a snack wrapper. Jake grabbed the still-twitching half and used it as a whip, sweeping it through the Necrocraft formation.
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!!
Hundreds of fighters detonated. The firelight turned the sky red.
Absolute power. Scale so vast it became its own category of violence.
Sanctuary II. Bridge.
"FIRE! FIRE THE MAIN CANNONS!!"
Ebony Maw's composure — the last thing he had left — shattered. The warship rotated every gun battery toward Ultimate Way Big's chest.
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!!
Energy beams hammered Jake. Fireworks erupted across his torso.
The smoke cleared.
Not a scorch mark.
"That's it?"
Jake looked down at the warship from the particular vantage point that tokusatsu directors called "God's Perspective."
He raised his hands. Crossed them at the wrists. The fin-structures on his arms blazed blue-white.
"Ultimate Cosmic Ray — CROSS STORM!!"
HUM——!!
A blue-white energy torrent — tens of meters wide, carrying the signature of stellar destruction — erupted from the crossing point of his arms.
The beam hit Sanctuary II's bow.
No suspense.
No sound of explosion — because the sound was swallowed by the temperature.
The warship — Thanos's throne, his mobile fortress, the vessel that had conquered civilizations across the galaxy — was split in two. Bow to stern. A clean, cauterized cut through the entire structure.
RRRRUMBLE————!!!!
The two halves — burning, screaming with trapped soldiers — fell from the sky in slow, terrible grandeur and crashed onto the Wakandan plains. The impact registered as a localized earthquake.
One strike. Flagship destroyed.
On the battlefield — allies and enemies alike — nobody breathed.
The Wakandan warriors lowered their spears. Stared at the red-and-white titan standing between heaven and earth. Their eyes held the particular light of people watching something they would build temples to.
"Did we... win?" Banner whispered.
"No."
Jake looked down.
In front of the burning wreckage of his own flagship, one figure still stood.
Thanos.
The Space Stone glowed faint blue — he'd used a spatial barrier to survive the aftershocks. His army was liquid. His warship was scrap. His Black Order was dead.
But the expression on his face wasn't defeat.
It was the madness of a man making his final gamble.
"You destroyed my army." Thanos looked up at the god towering above him. His voice, amplified by the Soul Stone, reached every ear on the battlefield. "You destroyed my life's work."
"So what?" Jake raised one massive foot, hovering it over Thanos's head. "Surrender, or you're next."
"Surrender?"
Thanos smiled.
He raised the Gauntlet. Four Stones blazed simultaneously — their combined light eclipsing the burning wreckage behind him.
"You think being large makes you invincible?"
"In this universe — the only truth is LAW!"
HUM!
The Reality Stone erupted.
The solid ground beneath Ultimate Way Big's feet became a bottomless swamp — liquid, yielding, providing no purchase for a body that weighed millions of tons. Jake's massive form lurched, balance gone.
The Space Stone flashed.
Chains materialized — not metal, but spatial shackles, constructs made of folded spacetime itself — wrapping around Jake's limbs, his torso, his crest. Binding the hundred-and-fifty-meter giant in mid-air.
"GET — DOWN!!"
Thanos roared. The Power Stone blazed purple. He pulled — using the Gauntlet as a lever, using cosmic force as the fulcrum — and dragged Ultimate Way Big from the sky.
BOOM!!
Jake hit the ground. A mountain peak was crushed beneath him. The impact crater was measured in city blocks.
"The bigger the size..."
Thanos walked toward the fallen giant, four Stones blazing, killing intent radiating like heat from a star.
"...the bigger the target."
"Now — it's my turn."
