"Salamence, Dragon Rush! Drapion, Cross Poison! Ariados, Poison Jab!"

Hunter J's commands were cold and clinical. She didn't believe in the bond between Trainer and Pokémon; she believed in overwhelming force. Salamence ascended, its body wreathed in a terrifying blue draconic aura that distorted the air. It was a phantom of ancient power, locking its sights on Pidgeot. Meanwhile, Drapion and Ariados lunged forward, their stingers and pincers dripping with toxic purple light. Their job was simple: keep the ground forces busy while the dragon secured the sky.

"Pidgeot, Brave Bird!"

Ash knew he couldn't dodge. The "Deterrent" effect of Dragon Rush acted like a physical weight, pinning Pidgeot in the dragon's trajectory. If they were going down, they were going down swinging. Pidgeot shrieked, its body igniting in a golden flame as it tucked its wings and charged head-first into the azure phantom.

BOOM!

The collision sent a shockwave through the flower field, scattering petals for hundreds of meters. Both Pokémon tumbled back, gasping for air. Pidgeot was bruised and bleeding, its stamina flagging under the recoil and the dragon's sheer power.

"Pidgeot, let Pikachu board!" Ash commanded, thinking three steps ahead. He knew J wanted to eliminate his air support. By putting Pikachu on Pidgeot's back, he turned his aerial scout into a flying turret.

Cheryl moved to help with her Gardevoir, and Dawn and Brock reached for their belts.

"No need," Ash said, his voice dropping into a tone of absolute confidence. "They're just bugs. Scizor can handle them both."

"Cha!" Scizor stepped forward, clashing its pincers together.

"Ash, are you serious?" Dawn asked, her eyes wide. "That's two against one!"

"Just watch," Ash replied. He raised his right hand, the sunlight glinting off the Key Stone embedded in his wristband. "Scizor—Mega Evolution!"

A burst of kaleidoscopic light erupted, connecting Ash to the Scizorite around the mantis's neck. The air hummed with the sound of a DNA strand clicking into place.

[Entity Upgrade: Mega Scizor]

Ability Change: Light Metal → Technician (Boosts low-power moves by 50%).

Defense/Attack: Massive increase.

Appearance: Armor becomes jagged and bulkier; pincers transform into spiked, high-density iron crushers.

The light shattered. Standing in the crater was a titan of crimson steel. Mega Scizor looked less like a Pokémon and more like a sentient suit of heavy armor designed for war.

"A second evolution?!" Dawn gasped, her understanding of Pokémon biology completely derailed.

"What a magnificent product!" Hunter J's eyes shone with greed. "Ariados, Drapion! Pin Missile!"

A hail of glowing needles rained down on Mega Scizor. The mantis didn't even flinch. It stood like a statue as the needles pinged off its reinforced chest plate, shattering into harmless sparks. Its defense was now so high that minor projectiles were statistically irrelevant.

"Bullet Punch!"

Mega Scizor shifted. It was no longer a "Light Metal" blur; it was a heavy, inexorable force. Utilizing the Technician boost, its iron pincer slammed into Ariados with the weight of a falling anvil. One hit. The spider was driven into the dirt, unconscious instantly.

"X-Scissor!"

Before Drapion could react, Scizor pivoted. Its heavy pincers crossed in a flash of silver and red, carving a lethal "X" through the air. The scorpion Pokémon was launched backward, two jagged gashes appearing across its armor as its eyes turned to spirals.

In three moves, the ground war was over.

"Gardevoir, Moonblast!" Cheryl seized the opening Ash had created.

While Salamence was distracted by Pikachu's aerial harassment, the fairy-type energy orb struck the dragon's flank. Caught in a pincer move between the ground and sky, J's ace finally crashed into the grass, defeated.

"Impossible!" J hissed. She realized her "merchandise" had just become her executioner. "Abra, Teleport!"

Before Scizor could close its pincers around her, a small psychic Pokémon appeared at her side. In a flash of blue light, the Hunter vanished, leaving her fainted Pokémon behind.

"She escaped," Brock muttered, looking at the empty space. "Typical professional."

Ash let out a long breath, signaling Scizor to revert to its normal form. He wasn't bothered by her escape. He looked at his internal display; the "experience" and "gold" gained from taking down a Hunter's elite team were astronomical.

He looked at Cheryl, then at the shy Gardevoir. "Is everyone okay?"

Cheryl nodded, her eyes still fixed on the spot where Mega Scizor had stood. "Ash... what was that? That power was... it wasn't normal."

"It's called Mega Evolution," Ash said, petting Pikachu. "And in this region, it's our little secret for now."
