Chapter 67 - Book of Fire

Kael opened his eyes and found himself tied with ropes, stuck to a chair.

He immediately tried to escape but the ropes weren't just ordinary ropes, they were extremely powerful and would not tear or even move. It was as hard as a diamond and clearly not flexible.

"Ahh! Let me out! You sick bastards!" Kael tried to yell but muffled noises were the only thing the group could hear due to his mouth being shut by a cloth or some sort of towel.

"Looks like you're finally awake," Mateo said. "Fear not. I am not hear to hurt you. I am simply going to train you so you can defeat your father. Yes, I have said that I'll let you borrow the gun but first, you'll need to be fast, precise and much stronger."

Kael struggled for a couple of seconds more before he covered himself with fire, which burned the chair, causing him to get out of it and take up a stance.

Mateo sighed, "Why can't you understand? Violence will only lead to complications. It is better that we talk this through."

Kael thought for a second, which also burned the towel that was keeping his mouth from being shut. After thinking, he finally began to keep his composure, somewhat at least. "You have 10 seconds. Speak."

"Great! I am glad we are on the same page," Mateo said, rubbing his hands together and giving a fake smile. "As you know, your father is a very cautious man, especially now that he knows there are hundreds of people wanting to kill him. Which is why, you can't just go in his room and shoot. It is far too risky."

"Hmph, I see." Kael said, "Seems like you weren't just speakin' shit."

"Indeed, I wasn't," Mateo said with a fake smile. "Now, as I was saying, it's too risky to simply walk in his room and shoot him as he might have come up with a countermeasure just in case. So, how about we train you so that you get much faster and stronger so it will be harder for him to react to your attack and if you fail, you can simply defend yourself."

"How am I goin' to train?" Kael asked, slightly interested.

Mateo smiled and aimed his arm towards a giant door. "I am glad you asked. We are currently in the studying hall of this large mansion. There is a book called "book of fire" somewhere in this mansion and I need you to retrieve it within 30 minutes. That's all, your timer starts now."

Kael panicked a bit, looking at the giant door and then Mateo, slightly confused due to the sudden timer. He wanted to ask more questions but he had to go. Quickly.

He ran towards the giant door and once he got close enough, he covered his fist with fire and punched the giant door, letting it slowly burn.

Once it was burned, he left the study hall and started to run in the main hallway, quickly checking all of the rooms that he comes by. He was sprinting fast and within a few minutes, he had...not even finished a quarter of the first floor, which was the same floor that the study hall was in.

"Shit! Where could this stupid book be?" Kael thought but then suddenly paused. "Wait. Why am I even following their orders? Who the hell are they to order me around? I should just escape and deal with my father by myself...but...ah, whatever I'll kill them once my fuckin' training is complete."

He then continued running, quickly checking rooms and eventually reaching a giant dining area that branched off to a few more hallways. He picked the hallway that was to the far right and continued with his search.

Meanwhile, Mateo calmly sat on his chair and started to drink tea. "How fast do you think he'll find it?" Mateo asked, glancing at everyone.

Ana slightly tilted her head, answering, "I don't think he'll be able find it at all, haha."

Maxwell simply ignored him while Blake scoffed. "I'll be surprised that he even survives."

"We'll see. It is only a matter of time before we find out," Mateo said, taking a sip of his tea.

---------------------------

A group of teenagers were talking with each other. They were smoking and had guns even though they were minors. "I bullied that kid so much he pissed his pants, lol. I'll bully him tomorrow too, probably going to make him shit his pants, lmao." Said one of the teenagers.

"Where the hell are you getting these type of kids?" One of them asked. "I wish I had someone like that to bully, lol."

"Don't worry, I'll let you borrow some of my slaves, lo-" The teenager stopped mid-sentence as he saw a pretty girl walking on the side walk, about to pass them. "Sheesh! Nice ass, girl!"

The girl ignored him, which made him even angrier. "This bitch think she's special!" Said the teenager, signaling his friends with an inappropriate gesture. "We must discipline her, right?"

"Yes. I'll teach her very well, " Said one of the teenagers grabbing her arm and pulling her toward himself. "Why don't you spend some time with us?"

She tried to release herself from him but when it didn't work, she tried to scream but one of them placed his hand on her mouth, stopping her from shouting. "Shhh...the more you resist, the worse it will get."

Suddenly, another teenager came forward and tried to pull down her pants but he stopped midway. "Just quickly do it! The hell you waiting for?" Asked one of them.

The person who had grabbed her pants started to tremble and become pale. "I-I can't move my arms!"

"The fuck you saying? Shit, I'll do it myself if you're such a pussy," Said one of the teenagers but just when he was about to move, he noticed that he physically couldn't. "W-What? Why can't I move?!"

"I can't move as well!" said another.

"Me too?!" Said a few more.

The girl couldn't move as well.

All of them were thinking the same thing: Why couldn't they move?

But their question would soon be answered by a voice.
