Chapter 68 - Fate's influence

"Fate is everything," A voice said, which was a voice of a normal man but sounded extremely terrifying, especially due to the circumstances and timing. "The future is decided by fate. Whatever will happen or has happened was all written by fate."

"Where is this voice coming from?!" A teenager yelled.

"Fuck! Show yourself! Right now!!" Another teenager yelled.

"Fate is the thing that holds everything together, it is the reason why we exist. It knows the best for us. It is simply...everything. And I, Henry, have the power to control it! Meaning, I can change future events to my liking. That is my awakened power," said Henry.

"The fuck is this guy talking about?!" One of them yelled, his breathing heavy due to the panic and shock.

Suddenly, before anyone of them could speak any further, suddenly tiny pieces of rocks fell and hit them hard in the head before anyone of them could realize it, which made him explode into pieces.

"The power of fate is truly extraordinary! A rock that was lying on a pond was picked up by a bird, who flew all the way here and dropped the rocks on the perfect building in the exact perfect time. They soon rolled and hit your head. Even then, you wouldn't have died from that but I decided that you will," Henry said, giggling to himself.

"I will rule over this world! I am the one who controls fate, I am the one who decides everything, I am the ultimate emperor of this world and I-" Before Henry could finish his sentence, the hand slightly and gently tapped his shoulder.

He turned around and saw the girl trembling and utterly traumatized. "T-Thank you for saving me!" She said before running away.

"Thank you for saving me? Is that how you talk to your ruler like that?" Henry said, frowning.

"You must be punished," Henry said, snapping his fingers, which caused her to slip and fell on the hard ground, knocking her out. "I didn't even kill her. That's how merciful and kind I am."

Henry then soon disappeared, not leaving a single trace behind.

However, two people had saw everything. A Red Cross member and an Undead Crow member had seen the fight, not knowing that an enemy organization had also seen the entire fight.

"W-Woah, amazing! I need to report this!" Said both of them at the same time.

----------------------------

15 minutes were left and Kael had finally finished searching the first floor, though, he didn't find anything. However, soon that would change.

After searching a few rooms of the ground floor, he finally found the book lying on a bed in the fourth ground floor room that he searched. He smirked and took the book with him, reaching just in time.

Or so he thought.

Just when he was about to enter the study hall, a giant golem looking creature attacked that looked to be made out of mud. It lifted it's arm up and slammed it on the ground, causing the floor to break and making both the creature and him to fall onto the ground floor. "Fuck, the hell's this thing?"

"Guess I'll defeat it," Kael thought, launching a few fireballs towards the golem, surprisingly, the fireballs didn't do any damage on the golem, making Kael feel hopeless. "Shit, that's the only long-range attack I know..."

Just as Kael was thinking, the golem attacked.

Kael instinctively blocked the attack, which caused him to be launched into a room from the sheer impact of the punch. He even coughed up blood but still managed to stand up and launch more fireballs, which didn't do much.

"Damn it, I probably have less than 10 minutes to complete my first task!" Kael thought, feeling hopeless. "Fuck, maybe I should have just ran from this stupid mansion. Why do they care so much about this book? Wait..."

"'book of fire?' Isn't that related to fire, then? Could I possibly use it?" Kael thought, opening the book, which caused a powerful light to appear, causing Kael to almost go blind.

Within a few seconds, the light disappeared and he saw that nothing was written on a book. "The fuck?! What is thi-" before he could even finish his sentence, the golem kicked him, destroying the wall behind him.

He felt one of his ribs being shattered in real time. "Fuck! Am I gonna die like this? Ain't no way...right?"

Suddenly, he saw the golem's fist right in front of him, barely a few inches away from his face. "Oh shit! I'm done! It's so over!"

"Ah!!!! Something please happen! Fire sword! Fire spear! Fire bomb!" As soon as he said "Fire bomb," the entire room exploded, almost as if a bomb had just detonated.

He took a moment to breath and stand up. Once he saw that the golem was dead, he ran straight towards the study hall and made it with a minute remaining. "You stupid...bastards...! What did you... make me go through!" Kael yelled, fainting in the very next second.
