Kael woke up in a hospital bed, completely covered in bandages and unable to move.
Next to him was Ronx, who was sitting on a chair, lost in thought. Though, that changed once he noticed that Kael had woke up. "You're finally awake. What happened?"
Kael clicked his tongue out of frustration, realizing that he had fainted not too long ago.
"I ain't gonna tell you. Leave me be." Kael answered, closing his eyes.
"You are a disappointment, a failure," Ronx said. "How much do you think the hospital bill was? Do you think you can just run around and get hurt and let your father handle it? Last time you got kidnapped up by thugs and some mafia gang. What the hell has gotten into you?"
Kael simply stared at the ceiling with a expression that said, "I don't care, fuck off."
After a few minutes of scolding and curses, Ronx left and shut the door behind him. "Finally that middle-aged man left," Kael said to himself.
Suddenly, after a little while, a man entered the room, it was Mateo. "Excellent job for passing the first test! You may have been admitted to a hospital but that was probably the best possibility if we are being honest!"
Kael's eyebrow slightly twitched and soon sighed. "What are you here for?"
"As you are not in the position to do another test, you can rest and take your time so you can be prepared for the next test!" Mateo said. "You have three days."
After that, Mateo left and within no time, Kael was discharged. He wasn't completely okay but it was manageable since he was able to walk without much issue.
He left the hospital area and walked for a couple of minutes, reaching the streets and shops.
Suddenly, something terrible happened. A girl was normally walking with a purse when suddenly a van parked near her and several muscular men came out of it. However, despite seeing this, Kael continued walking and pretend he didn't see them. "They picked just the right spot for this. There's almost no one here except for me and that girl. Impressive."
The girl started to scream and beg for help as a thug had grabbed her hand and was trying to pull her into the van. "There's no one to help you. Just come with us." He whispered.
"How sad," Kael thought. Though, he didn't particularly care that much. "Shouldn't have been walking here alone."
He continued walking forward and went past the van, minding his own business. However, one of the kidnappers mocked him. "You ain't wanna save this girl? Must be scared."
That was it. He paused for a second as his ego was terribly hurt. He sighed and ran straight towards one of the kidnappers, kicking him, which caused him to be launched into the van. Kael then closed the van door and climbed it, kicking it, launching himself forward and punching another kidnapper, blood spilling out of his nose within seconds.
However, a kidnapper had a baseball bat and tried to swing it at Kael but he decked below and launched a devastating uppercut, the impact breaking his teeth.
It was going well for Kael but just then, the kidnapper that was launched into the van, got out and had a gun with him. Kael managed to dodge a few of the bullets but one of them pierced his leg, which created an opening that the kidnappers used to their advantage.
They pushed the girl into the van and got in themselves, closing the door and speeding forward. Within no time, they had gotten quite far from Kael but just as they thought everything was fine, they felt someone walking on the roof.
A kidnapper looked out of the window to see what it was but all he could see was a kick which launched him onto the road, leaving him behind. As soon as they saw one of their kidnappers disappear, they knew what was happening so the kidnapper with the gun looked out of the window and tried to shoot Kael multiple times.
However, Kael crouched and managed to dodge all of the bullets. Not only that but in the very next second, he grabbed the kidnapper's gun and used it to shoot the kidnapper right in the head. And in the next moment, he shot the kidnapper in the driver's seat and took control of the vehicle, managing to stop it safety.
He got out of the van and saw the girl terrified but grateful. "T-Thank you so much for saving me."
Kael didn't care as he only wanted to kill those guys since they mocked him. "You're welcome."
"My dad is a CEO of a large company and he'll-" The girl was about to finish her sentence but Kael interrupted by saying, "Not interested."
Just when the girl was about to speak, a person came, who looked lean and muscular and was wearing a limited-edition 3 piece suit. He had a golden watch that looked like it was worth thousands and thousands of dollars and he was also quite handsome. This person was the bodyguard of the girl, his name being Caspian.
"Ma'am, I am terribly sorry, I-I had left you alone! I am ready to face the consequences!" Said Caspian, looking extremely guilty.
The girl smiled and simply pointed to Kael. "No need for consequences since I am alive and well because of this gentleman right here!"
Caspian looked at him with a suspicious and doubtful gaze but forced a smile. "Thank you so much for saving her. I would like you to come with me."
Kael hesitated, clearly just wanting to go home and relax but he realized that it would more troublesome if he didn't just go so he eventually agreed. "Just make it quick."
