Kael's body hurt all over and he felt extremely drowsy. It felt like thousands of knifes were pierced into his body several times. It was unbearable but there was nothing else to do but bear it. "Ah...! What the fuck?! Why...where am I?" he thought, who still hadn't opened his eyes.
Though, once he did, everything slowly came back to him. "Oh...wait. That bastard knocked me out and then...I don't know. Shit," he thought while looking around. "Why am I in a surgery room? I don't...think something has happened to me...not yet at least."
Just when he was still processing everything, he heard slow footsteps coming from the hall, which made him instantly panic. So he hid behind a table that was slightly in the left corner but not fully stuck to the wall, giving Kael some space to hid.
And just after a few seconds, the footsteps stopped and a man came in. He had white hair and looked very old, about eighty or so. He had glasses that didn't have any lens, simply wearing it for his overall appearance.
This man was none other than Dr. Gabriel, one of the three main leaders of the Red Cross, highly-qualified surgeon and scientist.
"Ah...now, now. Where could you have gone?" Dr. Gabriel said, a slight smirk on his lips. "I know you're hiding in his room...Kael falcon."
To this, Kael said nothing. He simply stayed still and took small, calculated breaths. He wasn't scared but he knew that he shouldn't just go out and fight him as he didn't know anything about him. "I'll give you three seconds. Three. Two. One...ah, so this is how it's going to be? Very well."
"It's time to play a game with you," Dr. Gabriel said, his facial expressions darkening. "I'll slowly check every spot in this room. The more time you spent hiding, the more painful it will be once I find you."
Kael said nothing, he simply prepared a fireball. "I'll shoot it once he starts looking and turns his back towards me," Kael thought. "I'll fuckin' kill this guy."
"You'll fucking kill me?" Dr. Gabriel said. "I'd like to see you try."
Instantly, as soon as he heard Dr. Gabriel say that, he went blank. His mind stopped working completely. He went pale and slightly trembled. "What?! Did...he just read my mind?!" Kael thought.
"Yes, I can read your mind, Kael falcon," Dr. Gabriel said with a evil smile. "That is my ability, you see."
"Stop hiding, Kael falcon," Dr. Gabriel said, licking his lips. "Let's work together. I'm not here to fight you. I simply want your blood and you'll be free."
"How...can I trust you?," Kael thought in his brain.
"It is not a matter of trust, you see," Dr. Gabriel said with a slight smirk, deliberately talking slow. "If I wanted, I could have already killed you. Weren't you placed on the bed and had a convenient hiding spot?"
Kael's eyes slightly widened.
"Yes. I was the one who made that hiding spot for you. I already knew you would hide because that's the type of person you are," Dr. Gabriel said. "Still want to play hide and seek?"
Kael stood up and revealed himself. "Let me go and I'll leave peacefully without breakin' your teeth."
"There aren't that many teeth to break, Kael falcon," Dr. Gabriel said, slightly giggling. "I will let you go. Only if you give me a little of your blood."
Kael falcon slightly narrowed his eyes. "Oh? And what exactly will you do with that blood?"
"Nothing much. Just create a human capable of ending humanity itself," Dr. Gabriel said with quite pride and confidence.
"What?" Kael said, slightly catching off-guard.
"Since you're the last piece of the puzzle, I'll let you in on something," Dr. Gabriel said, his voice dropping to a whisper. "I plan to create the strongest human...or more accurately...a robot, who will be capable of defeating anyone, even your father. All because I want to control the entire world and have it my palms."
Kael opened his mouth, about to say something but before he could, a voice spoke first. "Quite an interesting plan you got there," the voice said. "Dr. Gabriel, I'm assuming?"
Dr. Gabriel turned and saw Ronx standing beside the door, his stare focused on him. "Ah...that's not good. Did you already defeat the barber?"
"Barber? What are you-" before Ronx could finish his sentence, he got slashed in the back, causing him to immediately turn around. Once he did, he saw the barber standing in front of him, in the hallway. "You bastard!" Ronx said in a slightly angry voice, making his infamous blood sword by creating blood out of nothing and hardening it into the shape of a sword.
He then slashed him horizontally, causing the wall to be split in half, making the entire thing collapse. However, the slash didn't quite reach the barber since he had already gotten behind Ronx with just his speed. "What?! When did he appear behind me?!" Ronx thought, swinging his sword vertically this time, the impact causing a shockwave that shook the entire laboratory.
"Let's take this outside...shall we?" The barber said, taking a moment to brush his one strand of hair before suddenly grabbing Ronx's collar and launching him towards a wall, which instantly got destroyed, causing Ronx to be launched outside, though he managed to get on his feet. "You're incredibly fast," Ronx admitted, getting a bit serious.
"I appreciate the compliment, Ronx falcon," the barber said, unable to hold his evil smile.
"You're welcome," Ronx said before rushing towards him at an extreme speed, landing a powerful uppercut. However, the barber stopped himself from being launched by using Ronx's body to spin around and almost cut Ronx's neck using his comb. "You dodged it. As expected," the barber said, licking the blood off the comb. "Ah...falcon blood, huh."
While the barber was getting more and more excited, Ronx's thoughts drifted to somewhere else. "What on earth is Kael doing here?! Shit, I knew he was in some shady organization but not the Red Cross...I can't talk to him right now since I have to deal with this barber," Ronx thought.
"It's better if you stop thinking about other things," the barber said. "Right now, in this world, there's only you and me."
Ronx snapped back to reality and instantly came up with a reply, scoffing, "Huh, is that so? Then this world's gonna only last a few minutes."
