Chapter 99 - Therapy & Mind-Reading

Rose was sitting in a therapy room, right in front of Tristan, who looked... different. He had a normal smile that he wasn't even faking, in fact, he looked like a normal therapist.

"Nothing excites me anymore. In fact, I don't want to do anything but at the same time I don't want to just sit in a room. It's like...I'm stuck," Rose said with a sigh.

Tristan slowly nodded and said, "It seems to me that you most likely have depression...do you think there is any reason to why this is happening?"

"Uhm...well, someone close to me died, someone that I thought of as a friend," Rose said, fidgeting with her clothes. "And...someone I liked rejected me...kind of, I guess."

Tristan narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean by 'kind of'? Did he straight up reject you?"

"Well...not exactly. He ignored the question," Rose said, looking at the floor.

"I see. Well that's a good sign," Tristan said with a slight, reassuring smile. "Ignoring doesn't mean that he doesn't like you. Maybe he's ignoring it because he doesn't want to answer, doesn't want to admit it."

"Admit what?" Rose asked.

"That he's in love with you," Tristan said, his voice slightly dropping. "Now, I must ask a question. If he becomes your boyfriend or whatever, it would excite you, wouldn't it? It would give you something to do. You could spend time with him, go on dates, et cetera."

Rose slowly nodded, a slight smile appearing on her face. "I see. Thank you very much," she said, leaving just after.

After she left, Tristan left as well after a few minutes and once he did, his expression changed completely. His emotionless and dead expression returned back and he looked slightly confused. "Ah...what am I doing here?" Tristan said, looking around. "Well, whatever."

--------------------------

Kael looked extremely confused. In fact, he looked speechless. "What the....huh? Did-"

"Yes, that was your father, Ronx falcon," Dr. Gabriel said with a slight evil smile. "He's going to die."

Kael's eyes slightly widened. "Tell him to stop."

Dr. Gabriel glanced at him, saying, "what? Is that not what you wanted?"

"No. I want to kill him myself. He's my prey. So back off," Kael said with a serious face.

Dr. Gabriel slightly laughed. "Well my subordinate wants to kill him very badly so I am afraid I can't do that."

Kael sighed and grabbed his collar. "Then I'll make you do it," Kael said in a slightly angry voice, throwing Dr. Gabriel onto the ground, cracking his knuckles.

However, he simply smiled. "Hm...I see. Then...make me do it, Kael falcon."

"I will," Kael said, driving his punch into Dr. Gabriel, who was lying on the ground, though, his punch only hit the floor due to Dr. Gabriel easily dodging the attack. "I can read minds, you know," Dr. Gabriel said. "I always know what you are doing to do."

Kael narrowed his eyes. "So what? If I'm fast enough with my attacks, you won't have time to read my mind."

"But the question is...are you fast enough?" Dr. Gabriel said, taking a small knife from his pocket.

Kael took a deep breath and lunged at him, launching a series of fast punches, each punch trying to hit a different spot, making it hard for Dr. Gabriel to read all of the attacks. Though, it wasn't enough as none of the punches landed.

However, Kael didn't stop attacking. He simply switched his way of attacking and started to launch fireballs at Dr. Gabriel, causing the entire room to start burning in the process. "You have to much faster than that, Kael falcon. Because I expect more. I want more," Dr. Gabriel said, slightly giggling.

"Is this guy goin' crazy or something?" Kael thought, launching yet another series of punches, this time, mixing in a few backhands and kicks, causing one of the kicks to land, launching Dr. Gabriel into the far corner of the room, in the place of the fire, causing Dr. Gabriel to slowly burn. However, despite literally burning, he simply laughed. "Very good! Excellent! Fabulous! This is how it should be, Kael falcon!" Dr. Gabriel yelled, slowly getting out of the fire.

"Now. I guess it's time for me to retaliate, no?" Dr. Gabriel said, licking the knife. "Or would you like to torture me? Burn me alive? Punch me to death? Because I wouldn't mind that too."

"Crazy bastard," Kael said, summoning a dragon made out of pure fire, which attacked Dr. Gabriel and caused an entire section of the laboratory to start burning and eventually explode.

-----------------------

On the other hand, the barber and Ronx had just started fighting.

Ronx made a straight line of blood that he pretended to aim at the barber but instead turned it into a whip, causing the barber to be caught off-guard, which led to Ronx managing to land a powerful strike with the whip. "Aren't you quite creative," the barber said, who didn't look to mind that attack at all. "Though, I am quite disappointed. I thought you would be stronger," he said, covering the battlefield with flying slashes, giving Ronx no place to dodge, causing him to get slashed several times.

"Not bad," Ronx said, launching himself at the barber and pretending to strike him with the whip but changing at the last second to a sword, slashing the barber. "Tch, I can't predict you..." the barber said, whose lips turned into a devilish smile. "And that is how it should be! Get stronger so that I can get stronger! The more you hit me, the more I feel like myself!"

"As you wish," Ronx said, about to charge at him but before he could, Kael suddenly came out of nowhere. "The fuck are you doin' here, you pathetic father?"

"Saving you," Ronx said with clear sarcasm, though, for some reason, Kael slightly blushed and looked the other way. "Go die in a ditch or something," Kael muttered.

"Not in a million years," Ronx said, charging at the barber. "Go home, Kael."

Kael scoffed, charging at the barber as well. "Not in a million years."
