Chapter 106 - Checkmate & The dealers

??? was sitting in front of Lucius in a dark but fancy room.

There was a table between them that had a chessboard and pieces, it looked like a game was being played by the two of them. ??? had the white pieces and Lucius had the black.

??? took the black rook with his bishop. "Now, with Ronx out of the way, it seems that I'm winning."

Lucius thought for a small moment and after a few moves, he took a few pawns and a horse with his black pieces. "Though, it seems that you have lost a lot of pieces. Not only that but from that rampage, one of my pawns is about to be promoted."

"Indeed," ??? said with a smirk. "However...with my plan, it won't matter what you will do next."

"What do you mean?" Lucius asked, who wasn't confused at all.

??? slightly smirked. "It's time to unleash the queen and checkmate."

"Isn't Draco a male? Shouldn't it technically be king?" Lucius asked, his facial expressions fully serious, though, he looked kind of bored.

??? sighed, "Tch, you didn't have to ruin it. Just follow along with the lines, man! Now, we have to restart from the beginning...for the sixth time!"

"I apologize, sir," Lucius said.

The morning sunlight hit Kael perfectly on the eyes, causing him to wake up. Though, the image of Ronx's head being cut off flashed in his mind, causing him to slightly freeze. He instantly went down and checked the living room, where his father would usually sit. However, he wasn't there. "Oh...so it wasn't a dream," Kael thought, sighing.

He returned to his room and went to the washroom, coming out after a whole thirty minutes, which would have normally taken him ten to five minutes at most. This was due to him recalling the previous events, the deadly fights, the painful surgery and even him sleeping with Rose...in the park, which caused him to scream internally. "What the hell was I thinking?!?!?!"

Though, with that, he soon put on fresh clothes and made breakfast for himself. "It's been over a week and I still am shaken by that laboratory and fuckin' Dr. Gabriel. It seems that I need to train so that doesn't happen again," Kael thought while eating his breakfast.

"Though, that funeral was frickin' crazy. It had like about a thousand people or so," Kael thought. "It's weird that they didn't ask me any questions..."

With that, his thoughts were cut short due to the doorbell. "Who could it be this early?" He thought, opening the door and seeing Alex, who looked a bit more serious than usual.

"We need to talk," Alex said, which looked more of an order than a simple request.

"Sure," Kael replied. "Come in."

Alex entered the house and sat on the couch without being told to. "Sit," Alex ordered, acting like it was his house.

Kael sat and asked, "you're here to ask me what happened right?"

"Yes. Tell me everything," Alex said, his face serious but determined.

"Don't tell me you're goin' to avenge him...." Kael said, looking a bit hesitant. "If that's your plan...then I would forget it. You'll die."

Alex stood up and approached Kael. "And when did you care about me dying or not? Just tell me because I am going to take down the entire Red Cross organization whether I live or not," Alex said, his voice cold.

"Fine," Kael said, who explained everything to him in great detail, which took about twenty minutes.

Meanwhile, in Elephant City...

A man was sitting on top of several boxes that were stacked on top of each other. There were thousands of Crack heads and drug dealers that were all kneeling down in front of the man. And not only that but this was all happening in the most drug-heavy section of Elephant City.

"Boss! The Elephant City police have captured some of our men, what should be the next move?!" Asked one of his men.

Santiago, the biggest and most famous drug kingpin, simply slightly chuckled. "Do ya' even need to axe? Those little chumps think they some law enforcers but they are simply just a bug! A cockroach! Slaughter those bastards and bring their heads to me!"

"I, Santiago Martinez, shall show da world da real boss!" Santiago yelled. "Oi! What's da situation on the cocaine?"

"It's goin' well," One of his men replied. "Over 80% of the cocaine distribution belongs to us!"

"Great," Santiago said. "Did ya all kill that butcher, therapist guy? Triston? Tristania? Whatever da hell his name was."

"It's...Tristan," replied of one of the drug dealers. "And we are closin' in on his home right now! He'll be dead by noon!"

Santiago's facial expression suddenly changed. From arrogant and slightly angry to dead serious. "Emiliano...ya got some nerve to correct me. Kill yourself to atone for ya sin!" Santiago said, his cold eyes lingering on Emiliano's neck for too long.

"Boss...but-!" Before Emiliano could finish his sentence, a man called Hugo, known as one of the four personal guards of Santiago, cut off Emiliano's head, causing blood to burst out instantly.

This was how "the dealers" worked. No one in Elephant City could correct or Insult Santiago without getting his head cut off. This was the world of Elephant City, a gigantic metropolis in a drug kingpin's palm.
