"Don't worry. I'll make sure to make you delicious," Tristan said, the axe about to behead Kael. "This...is it for me. For real this time," Kael thought, accepting death.
Though before Tristan's axe could reach him, Rose called out his name, "Kael!" Which caused him to gain a sudden motivation to live. He decked below, just barely dodging the axe and countered with a powerful uppercut that caused Tristan to take a few steps back.
"You bastard...I'll kill you!" Kael said, rushing towards Tristan. He was about to land a punch but just then, Rose started to violently vomit blood. "H-Help," She said, causing Kael's attention to be fully diverted towards her, giving Tristan a perfect opportunity to slash him. However, despite him getting slashed, he still didn't pay that much attention, it was almost as if he didn't feel pain and the only thing on his mind was Rose.
He quickly rushed over. "No...you can't die! I won't allow you to die!" Kael yelled, though, in the very next second, Rose faded, which made Kael realize that it was an illusion, the real Rose was watching from a distance.
"Kill yourself," Kael muttered, clearly aimed towards Tristan. He got up, clearly filled with rage. "Now...you have truly done it, you fuckin' bastard," Kael yelled, rushing towards Tristan, launching a barrage of punches so powerful that it put holes in Tristan's body.
And with a final blow, Kael ended it. From being extremely weak to defeating someone stronger than Raven. He had done it...or so he thought.
As soon as he blinked, he noticed that he was holding the fake Rose and as he looked around, he noticed that Tristan was standing in the same place with the same stoic expression. Soon, Kael realized that whatever he just did was an illusion. He had never hit Tristan. "Tch...how the hell am I supposed to defeat a person who just spams illusions?!" He asked himself, clearly frustrated.
"By knowing what is an illusion and what is not," Alex replied, who started to get up despite his injuries, it was clear that he was trying to die in this fight. "From what I can tell, he can't continuously use his illusion ability, we have at least ten seconds before he can use it again."
"I see...by the way, you should let me handle this one," Kael said with a serious face. "You are clearly going to be useless."
"We'll see about that," Alex said, suddenly disappearing and appearing next to Tristan, trying to slash him, though, Tristan dodged by using his future sight ability. "Tch," Alex said, increasing the amount and speed of the slashes, causing a few slashes to land.
Suddenly, Tristan turned into a trembling Hazel, who was covered in blood and in tears, asking for Alex's help. However, Alex didn't flinch, he slashed it, causing Hazel to fade away. "Such illusions won't work on me."
"As long as I know that it's an illusion, I can even kill the child in my wife's belly,"Alex said, landing yet another slash. And before Tristan could retaliate, Kael appeared behind him, driving his fire-covered fist into Tristan's back, burning it. "It seems that I am able to keep up with you," Kael said with a smirk.
Alex's eyes narrowed. "Is he really keeping up with me and Tristan? The one I knew a few days ago wasn't even able to see my attacks," he thought, a slight impressed smile appearing on his face. "Your father and I had awakened which is why we are the strongest. Of course, our battle experience also plays a part in it but our awakening was the main thing. However, despite not even being awakened, you are able to keep up with my speed."
Kael smirked. "My, my, it seems that you finally admit that I'm stronger than you."
Alex's eyebrow twitched, he kicked Kael, launching him onto a wall, before shifting his attention to Tristan, who was too calm, a grin on his face. He wasn't moving, he was simply just smiling and staring into the abyss.
"What the hell was that for?!" Kael yelled, coughing blood.
Alex ignored him and simply closed the distance between him and the butcher, causing Tristan to mutter, "Realm of desirable outcomes."
As soon as Kael heard Tristan say that, he started to run so that he wouldn't be in the realm's range and get teleported. "How the hell can he use his realm twice in a day?! Wasn't that supposed to be impossible?" Kael thought. "Run!" He screamed. "It's dangerous!"
Though, it was already too late. Alex was teleported into Tristan's realm.
