C-Class Rank 85 "Battery Man" scrambled to avoid the ferocious attack of the six-eyed dog-like monster before him.
Sharp claws dug six deep gashes into the ground. The first strike missed.
As he stood, the battery behind him connected to electrodes on his hands, firing a discharge attack at the monster.
However, the six-eyed beast shook its black fur as if it had just taken a bath, withstanding the seemingly powerful electric shock.
"Damn it, the shock is completely useless... This is my strongest attack! This is terrible!"
"No other heroes have arrived by now. Not a good sign..."
Muttering to himself, a bead of cold sweat clung to Battery Man's hood as he scanned surroundings, trying to find a usable spot or escape route.
Just then, a familiar electrical crackling rang out, accompanied by the monster's scream.
Battery Man jolted upright. In the blink of an eye, the black monster that had just withstood his electric shock had collapsed. Its body was covered in charred wounds, head completely carbonized.
Having confirmed the monster was completely dead, Battery Man turned to look at the battery behind him, completely baffled.
"Strange. Could it be the leak caused the attack to exceed maximum power? But I didn't feel anything at all!"
Completely absorbed by the dead monster, Battery Man was unaware that bright blue light flashed and disappeared in the sky above his head.
Z-City, Saitama's apartment.
The balcony and windowsills were bathed in pale blue light from glaring indoor illumination. Jordan's figure vanished from the living room.
Five seconds later.
The same skill effect lit up again. Blue light formed a humanoid silhouette. Jordan reappeared in the same spot as if he'd never left.
No one knew what happened in those few seconds.
Even more unbelievable—someone would travel hundreds of kilometers to another city to kill a monster, all for the sake of drawing cards.

The living room illuminated with beams of enhancement light from decomposing cards. Muttered curses could be faintly heard from within.
A moment later, enhancement was complete. F-boy retreated and disappeared into thin air.
Jordan unfolded a deck of fantasy cards in his hand—the result of the consecutive draws.

Besides numerous attribute cards of various rarities, only two SR cards were pulled total.
Though he verbally cursed developers for secretly changing drop rates, Jordan knew such rates were actually normal.
Moreover, the only two SR cards—X-Men mutant abilities and Overwatch hero character—could be considered effective drops.
As for remaining ordinary N and R cards, most were scrap metal scraps. But even the worst could serve as "spacetime beacons" to other worlds.
At worst, we can just toss it.
In summary, the gacha pull results weren't actually that bad.
After consoling himself, Jordan first drew out the only ability card among them. After learning the card's information, he slapped it into his chest.
