Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Chapter 3

Just then, the office door was violently kicked open.

A man in a tight black outfit burst in, a bizarre bullseye tattoo prominent on his forehead. Three throwing knives were already in mid-flight.

"Boss!" Bullseye shouted—then froze as his eyes landed on the corpse on the floor. His pupils contracted sharply.

The three knives halted centimeters from Yang Jian's eyes, then dropped limply to the carpet.

"Bullseye, right?"

Yang Jian turned, his eyes glowing with a dangerous golden sheen. "If you don't want to die, behave."

Bullseye's gaze darted between Fisk's body and Yang Jian. His Adam's apple bobbed.

As one of the world's deadliest assassins, he instantly assessed the situation.

The man in black armor before him was far beyond anything he could fight.

"What do you want?"

Bullseye asked cautiously, raising both hands.

"Smart choice."

Yang Jian smiled. "First, get me an identity. Open accounts. Transfer all of Kingpin's assets to my name—accounts, real estate, smuggling networks, everything."

Yang Jian had crossed over in his original body; he had no legal existence here.

Bullseye frowned. "That'll take time. Some assets require passwords, verifications—"

Yang Jian appeared in front of him in a blink, close enough to feel the assassin's breath. "No tricks. I can hear your heart racing. I can see through your lies."

He tapped his own eyes. "X-ray vision. Ever heard of it? I already spotted that gold-plated pistol in your pocket."

A bead of cold sweat rolled down Bullseye's temple.

He had never felt pressure like this—like a mouse pinned under a cat's stare.

"Three days," Bullseye gritted out.

"One day."

Yang Jian's tone brooked no argument. "By this time tomorrow, I want every document signed and transferred. Now, take me to Kingpin's vault."

Bullseye hesitated for a split second—until he saw the red glow flare in Yang Jian's eyes again. He nodded quickly. "Follow me."

Yang Jian trailed him deeper into the office suite.

As they passed Fisk's remains, Yang Jian glanced back. A casual burst of heat vision turned the corpse to ash in an instant.

"Cleaner this way, don't you think?" he said to the stunned Bullseye.

On the way to the vault, Yang Jian split his attention to check the system interface.

Yang Jian snorted inwardly. Hide? With this power?

Taking over Kingpin's criminal empire was just a whim. In this dangerous Marvel Universe, he needed to grow far stronger.

OAA. The Living Tribunal. Cosmic entities…

Any of them could erase him effortlessly right now.

But with Silver Superman's potential, he could surpass them all.

"Here we are."

Bullseye's voice snapped him back. "It needs Kingpin's fingerprint and retinal scan."

Yang Jian drove a single fist through half a meter of reinforced alloy. Metal crumpled like foil.

"Skip the hassle."

Inside the vault: stacks of cash, gold bars, priceless art, files—neatly arranged.

But Yang Jian's attention locked onto a special safe in the corner.

Super vision revealed a vial of glowing green liquid and some high-tech gear inside.

"Looks like Kingpin had more secrets than I thought," Yang Jian murmured with a mocking shake of his head.

"Bullseye, from now on you work for me. Double pay. One condition: no betrayal."

Bullseye glanced at the ruined vault door, then at the red flicker in Yang Jian's eyes. Slowly, he dropped to one knee.

"Yes, boss."

Yang Jian nodded in satisfaction and approached the special safe.

His super hearing had already picked up distant sirens. The alarm Fisk triggered before dying had summoned more than just goons.

"With power like this, whether I'm the villain or the hero is my decision."

He pinched the high-grade alloy safe open like a soda can.

Inside: several vials of eerie green liquid, an encrypted hard drive, and printed documents.

"Inferior Super Soldier Serum knockoff?"

Yang Jian scoffed. Super vision pierced the glass, analyzing molecular structure on the spot.

"So the old bastard was running his own enhancement experiments."

The documents detailed failures: twelve volunteers injected, all dead. Causes ranged from organ rupture to total cellular meltdown.

"Boss, the cops are almost here."

Bullseye stood at the doorway, his bullseye tattoo twitching with tension. "At least twenty squad cars, and…"

Yang Jian didn't look up, casually tossing a serum vial into the air and catching it. "Go handle it. Tell them there was a gas explosion. Mr. Fisk is perfectly safe and will personally call the commissioner tomorrow."

Bullseye hesitated. "They won't buy that."

"Then make them buy it." Yang Jian finally lifted his head, red light flashing in his eyes. "Do I need to teach you how?"

Bullseye shuddered and bowed his head. "No, boss. I'm on it."

Once Bullseye left, Yang Jian's super vision pierced downward through floors.

Thirty meters below: a fully equipped lab. White-coated researchers hustled around; monitors displayed rolling DNA helixes.

"Perfect timing for a test run."

Yang Jian glanced at the serum vial, curiosity piqued. He floated upward, then rocketed out through the building.

0.1 seconds later, he appeared in the center of the underground lab.

"Everyone out."

His voice wasn't loud, but it echoed like thunder in the confined space.

Researchers spun around in terror. Seeing the black-armored figure hovering mid-air, several collapsed in fear.

"Who… who are you?" A balding middle-aged man stammered, name tag reading Chief Scientist Russell.

Yang Jian ignored the question. His eyes glowed faintly. Twin heat beams sliced past Russell's ears, bisecting a bottle behind him.

The spilled liquid hissed and ate into the floor.

"Anyone still here in three seconds becomes part of that puddle."

The lab emptied in seconds.

Yang Jian scanned the room. Super intellect absorbed everything instantly—every device, every file, every data stream.

"Primitive."

He shook his head and approached the main terminal.

A light touch from his armored finger. The Kryptonian suit interfaced directly, cracking every encryption in an instant.

Kingpin's full Super Soldier program unfolded before him: stolen military data, illegal human trials, flawed serum formulas, a pitiful 0.7% success rate.

"Waste of time."

He closed the files and drifted to the center of the lab.

Raising his head, super vision expanded globally.

New York Public Library. MIT archives. SHIELD classified files. Wakandan vibranium research.

He read it all—bypassing every security, absorbing humanity's cutting-edge knowledge in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, quantum mechanics.

Two seconds later, he opened his eyes.

"Done."

Now his mind held the pinnacle of human science—from foundational theory to bleeding-edge applications.

Yang Jian returned to the workbench and picked up the inferior serum vial again.

Super vision dove to the molecular level.

"Base sequence errors. Protein folding defects. Incomplete RNA transcription."

He tapped the glass lightly with one finger, analyzing as he spoke.
