Chapter 50 - Chapter 50

Chapter 50

After dinner, the four of them comfortably settled on the living room sofa.

Yang Jian snapped his fingers. "Origin, connect to Tony Stark's comms."

The holographic projection flickered a few times. Tony's tired face appeared in the center of the living room.

He stood at his messy workbench, still holding a tool.

When he saw Yang Jian, he raised an eyebrow: "Yang, where have you been playing these past few days?"

"Just went on a little trip." Yang Jian said lightly.

"Heard you're still worried about JARVIS?"

Tony set down the tool and poured himself a glass of red wine: "It's not just the body. What I want is a real person—just one whose body happens to be made of machines."

He rubbed his temples: "But JARVIS is still just a program. I've been upgrading its core logic lately."

"I have a solution." Yang Jian interrupted.

Tony immediately put down his glass, eyes flashing with interest: "What is it?"

Yang Jian gave a mysterious smile: "I have something in my possession that can transform mechanical bodies into living forms."

He paused: "Not only can they become combat robots—they can also transform into vehicles, aircraft, even satellites. And the key is, it's activation and creation."

Tony's wine glass slipped from his hand and shattered on the floor, red wine splashing everywhere: "You're saying…?"

"Exactly."

Yang Jian nodded: "We can use this principle to develop a conversion device specifically for JARVIS."

Zhao Helen grabbed Yang Jian's arm excitedly: "This is… this completely overturns everything we know about life sciences!"

Tony paced back and forth in his lab, then suddenly stopped: "I get it! It's not about creating new life—it's about elevating an existing AI into a living being!"

He spun toward the projection: "Yang, I'll trade 10% of Stark Industries shares for this. We have to make it happen!"

Yang Jian raised his glass with a smile: "Deal. Then get over here."

Tony shut off the comm without another word—he was probably already suiting up.

Wanda asked softly: "Can this really work? Like those robots?"

"We just need to figure out part of the principle." Yang Jian explained. "Developing AI-to-life conversion technology requires a breakthrough."

Less than two minutes later, the roar of armor landing came from outside the villa.

Tony strode in wearing his nano-suit, carrying a metal case: "I brought JARVIS's core program!"

Helen was already on her feet, impatient: "I think we should head to the lab right now!"

Mikaela watched this group of mad scientists who acted as soon as they spoke, whispering to Wanda: "Are they always this… passionate?"

Wanda smiled with pursed lips: "You'll get used to it."

Yang Jian led everyone toward the underground lab.

The metal doors of the underground laboratory slid open silently. Bright lights came on one after another.

As soon as they stepped inside, Origin's mechanical voice echoed from all directions:

"Welcome back, gentlemen and ladies. Laboratory environment has been adjusted to optimal research conditions."

"Thanks, Origin." Yang Jian replied casually.

Tony also gave a quick greeting, then his eyes locked onto Yang Jian: "So what exactly is this thing that can create living machines?"

Helen eagerly leaned in: "Yang, show us already!"

Yang Jian smiled and gave a crisp snap of his fingers.

A ripple of energy appeared in the air. A cube glowing with faint blue light materialized in his hand—it was the AllSpark.

"My God." Tony instinctively reached out to touch it.

"No—don't come closer." Yang Jian stopped him with a laugh.

"This thing can accidentally turn every appliance in the villa into a killing machine. Want to experience being chased by a coffee maker?"

Tony sheepishly withdrew his hand, but his eyes remained glued to the AllSpark: "Fine… at least give us a demonstration?"

"That's the plan."

Yang Jian looked around, picked up an ordinary circuit tester from the workbench, and placed it on the metal table. He carefully brought the AllSpark closer. Energy ripples immediately appeared on the cube's surface.

"Watch closely."

With a burst of blinding blue light, the tester suddenly vibrated violently.

Its metal casing twisted and deformed like a living thing. The circuit board reorganized into mechanical bones. Screws popped out and became sharp claws.

In just a few seconds, a vicious little robot about a dozen centimeters tall stood on the table—its chest prominently bearing the Decepticon insignia!

"Eliminate organic lifeforms!" the tiny robot screeched in a piercing electronic voice. It raised a hand and fired a volley of energy blasts toward Tony.

"Fuck!"

Tony instinctively backed away—but the energy blasts slammed into an invisible wall centimeters from him, splashing ripples.

Yang Jian flicked his finger.

Snap!

The little robot instantly disintegrated. Parts scattered across the floor.

The lab fell dead silent.

Tony and Helen stared dumbfounded at the pile of smoking parts, speechless for a long moment.

"This… this completely violates the law of conservation of mass."

Helen trembled as she crouched down and carefully picked up a still-smoking fragment.

"It just developed true autonomous consciousness!"

Tony's engineer soul was fully ignited: "We have to study this! Right now! Immediately!"

He grabbed Yang Jian's shoulders excitedly: "Imagine—if we master this technology, JARVIS won't just get a real body, he could also…"

"Transform, right?" Yang Jian interrupted with a laugh. "Don't rush. We need safety measures first."

He turned to Origin: "Prepare a quantum isolation lab. And bring some appliances for test subjects."

Origin responded immediately: "Quantum lab ready, sir. Three vehicles available in the garage for testing."

Helen suddenly thought of something: "Wait—why did that little robot attack us the moment it appeared?"

"Because mechanical life activated by the AllSpark randomly inherits one of two ideologies."

Yang Jian explained: "Either Autobot—valuing freedom and peace. Or Decepticon—advocating conquest and destruction."

Tony rubbed his chin: "So we need to make sure JARVIS awakens as the good kind."

"Exactly. At least a benevolent robot."

Yang Jian nodded: "That's the key technical challenge we need to overcome next."

Under the lab lights, excitement glittered in the eyes of all three geniuses.

A groundbreaking technological breakthrough was about to be born in their hands.

In the center of the lab, the holographic projection screen continuously flashed with complex energy equations.

Tony's fingers flew across the virtual keyboard, occasionally stopping to scratch his messy hair.

"What if we adjust the constraint field frequency like this?" he muttered, tweaking parameters.

Helen stood beside him, arms crossed, staring at the data flow: "No—this band will create harmonic interference with the AllSpark's base frequency."

She pointed at a waveform: "Look here—the energy overflow would cause an uncontrollable chain reaction."

Yang Jian stood at the experiment table, the AllSpark hovering in his palm.

Faint blue energy ripples formed a protective barrier around him.

His super-brain was simulating the energy conduction path for the third proposal.

Soon the simulation results gave him the conclusion.

A special alloy + vibranium composite conductive structure could be used. If implemented this way, energy overflow rate could be controlled below 0.3%.

He shared the idea with the two of them.

Tony slammed the table: "That's it!"

He excitedly pulled up a 3D model: "We can design a double-helix energy guide rail, using vibranium as the base and as the energy buffer layer."

Helen picked up right where he left off, eyes shining: "That way we can build an adjustable energy valve!"
