Chapter 57 - Chapter 57

Chapter 57

Yang Jian's figure appeared on the villa balcony, morning light just right.

From downstairs came the fluctuations of Wanda practicing magic.

He stretched lazily and walked slowly down the stairs.

Wanda was floating in the center of the living room, surrounded by constantly shifting red energy.

Sensing Yang Jian's presence, she immediately withdrew her magic and turned around in delight: "You're back?"

"Just got back."

Yang Jian stepped forward and gave her a hug, casually brushing a stray strand of hair from her temple.

"How's the reality-rewriting practice going?"

Wanda nodded. With a light tap of her finger, the coffee cup on the table suddenly transformed into a fluttering blue butterfly: "Small-scale changes are about the same as before, but large-scale ones…"

She shook her head: "…they always spiral out of control."

"Take it slow." Yang Jian ruffled her red hair.

"The potential of chaos magic goes far beyond this."

Through the floor-to-ceiling window, he could see Mikaela sitting in the garden chatting with Bumblebee.

The yellow Camaro occasionally switched its car stereo to respond, making Mikaela giggle.

Yang Jian walked out to the garden. Mikaela immediately gave him a hug: "Where were you last night?"

"Handled some small business." Yang Jian smiled and looked at Bumblebee.

"So, what were you two talking about that made you so happy?"

Bumblebee's radio immediately started being playful.

Mikaela laughed and explained: "He was telling me about the time he and Optimus Prime beat up the Decepticons."

"Want a normal voice box?" Yang Jian suddenly asked.

Bumblebee's headlights lit up several times brighter. Excited music played from the radio.

"Origin, scan his vocal system and custom-build an upgraded version."

Origin's voice responded immediately: "Scan complete. Using vibranium and nano-composite materials. Estimated completion: 2 hours."

Bumblebee spun excitedly in place, nearly running over a flowerbed.

After calming everyone down, Yang Jian flashed away and appeared in the top-floor office of Yang Corporation Tower.

Bullseye was in a crisp suit reviewing documents. The moment he sensed the presence, his weapons were already drawn.

When he saw it was Yang Jian, he immediately sheathed them and stood: "Boss."

"How's the company doing?"

"Everything's smooth." Bullseye handed over a holographic report.

"Last quarter's profits grew 37%. The new bio-pharmaceuticals have passed FDA approval."

Yang Jian nodded in satisfaction: "And the negotiations with Oscorp?"

"S.H.I.E.L.D. mediated." Bullseye showed an odd expression.

"Norman Osborn agreed to hand over controlling interest and only keep shareholder status. But he has one condition—the one you mentioned before about curing his Green Goblin persona."

Yang Jian gave a light laugh: "Almost forgot about that."

Bullseye hesitated: "Boss, this man…"

"It's fine."

Yang Jian waved dismissively: "I'll handle it personally. Prepare the acquisition agreement for tomorrow."

Before the words finished, his figure vanished from the office.

Inside Norman Osborn's Office

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, New York's skyline glowed golden in the sunset.

Norman was speaking quietly with his son Harry when he suddenly snapped his head up, sensing something.

Yang Jian was already standing in the center of the office.

Harry stood warily: "Father, who is this…?"

"Leave us, Harry." Norman's tone left no room for argument.

Once the office door closed, Norman respectfully rose: "Boss."

Yang Jian walked straight to the leather sofa and sat, crossing his long legs: "I'm here to fulfill my promise."

His gaze swept across Norman's forehead: "To completely solve your… little problem."

Norman's throat bobbed: "As long as you can eliminate the Green Goblin persona, Oscorp Industries can be merged into Yang International at any time."

"I just want to return to a normal life."

"As you wish."

Yang Jian suddenly stood and walked in front of him. His palm lightly pressed against Norman's chest.

Norman felt the world spin. The next second—he was looking at the back of his own head.

His soul had been forcibly pulled out of his body!

"This… this is?!" Norman's translucent soul looked on in horror at his own body slumped in the chair.

Even more terrifying—a dark green shadow was separating from his form.

That soul, identical in appearance, twisted and malevolent, eyes burning with madness.

"Norman."

The Green Goblin soul let out a raspy laugh: "You think you can get rid of me like this?"

Yang Jian watched the intertwined souls with interest: "Tsk tsk. More deeply rooted than I imagined."

Under Norman's stunned gaze, Yang Jian reached out and yanked the Green Goblin soul forward.

His eyes flared with scarlet light—this time interwoven with ancient magical runes.

"No! You can't!" The Green Goblin's scream cut off abruptly.

Magical heat vision pierced through the soul. The entire office was bathed in blood-red light.

The Green Goblin's phantom shattered like broken glass and finally dissolved into green smoke that dissipated completely.

Yang Jian turned to Norman's soul: "Time to go back."

With a gentle push, Norman's soul returned to his body.

The body in the office chair convulsed once, then began coughing violently.

"Is… is it over?"

Norman trembled as he touched his face. For the first time in twenty years, no other voice echoed in his mind.

His head contained only his own thoughts.

Yang Jian was already walking toward the door: "Someone will come tomorrow to sign the acquisition agreement."

He paused: "I suggest you spend tonight properly with your son."

When the office door closed, Norman Osborn—now just an ordinary father and businessman—covered his face and wept silently.

Outside the window, the last ray of sunset shone exactly on the family photo on the desk.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters – Conference Room

Coulson was analyzing global superhuman incident reports with Natasha and Clint.

Golden sparks suddenly appeared in the air. Yang Jian stepped out of the portal.

The three immediately stood. Coulson smiled and nodded: "Boss."

Yang Jian waved casually, gesturing for them to sit: "Any unusual situations lately?"

"Everything's normal."

Coulson pulled up a holographic world map studded with countless green dots.

"As per your instructions, we've deployed agents to all key global nodes. Any supernatural event will be reported immediately."

Natasha added: "Hydra has been eradicated. Remaining Skrull forces are mostly cleaned up—the rest will be dealt with soon."

"Very good." Yang Jian nodded in satisfaction and waved his hand.

Whoosh!

A small mountain of silver-gray metal appeared in the center of the conference room.

"This is… vibranium?!" Clint stepped forward in a flash, fingers touching the metallic surface.

"Exactly."

Yang Jian watched their shocked expressions: "Use it to upgrade the agents' equipment. If it's not enough, come find me."

Natasha picked up a piece and weighed it: "This must be hundreds of tons. Wakanda will go insane if they find out."

"They won't miss this much." Yang Jian said indifferently.

"The Autobots can start participating in operations. You handle the specific arrangements. Unless it's a major incident, no need to report everything."

Coulson suddenly remembered something: "By the way, boss—the World Security Council is preparing to assign Maria Hill to assist us. Any special instructions?"

"Maria Hill?"

Yang Jian grew interested: "We'll see when she arrives."

Before they could respond, Yang Jian's figure vanished again.

In the conference room, the three gathered around the vibranium pile in amazement.

"I bet there's at least five hundred tons here." Natasha picked up a piece and toyed with it.

Clint had already pulled out a notebook and started sketching designs: "I'm making a vibranium long knife and a new bow."

Coulson smiled and pressed his comms: "Call the research team. Bring a forklift—we've got a big delivery to unpack."
