The interior is clean and neat with just the right touch of elegance. Large windows let in generous light, making it feel open and airy.
Somehow, I hadn't imagined a scary Lycan living somewhere like this. I'd imagined they'd be living in a forest huffing and woofing all day while waiting for prey to fall into their trap.
But this is the most organised setting I never even imagined people lived in.
A few young women peek at us from around a corner, hearts practically visible in their eyes as they watch Rafe. Omegas, I decide. Anyone with real standing would have approached him directly.
The dining room is grand and suffocating in equal measure, holding a long marble table surrounded by red and gold chairs, velvet drapes pooling on the floor in deep burgundy, a crystal chandelier casting everything in cold, glittering light — but my attention goes straight to the food. The smell reaches me before anything else. Chicken, fruit and waffles and several different spreads.
