"Yes, yes... Mr. Vegeta and Mr. Frieza's current situation is indeed not good." Whis sighed lightly, the crystal ball atop his staff flickering with a faint light. "According to the data analysis, their probability of winning is only 10%."
"Tch, looks like I'll have to step in personally in the end." Beerus bared his teeth, his tail swishing impatiently behind him, but his gaze couldn't help but drift back to the table full of delicacies.
"Lord Grand Minister specifically instructed us to observe the situation first and try not to interfere," Whis reminded him with a smile. "Besides, didn't you say, Lord Beerus, that interrupting a meal halfway through isn't your style?"
"Then we'll wait a bit longer! Let's finish this table first." Beerus immediately found an excuse, grabbing a piece of roast duck and stuffing it into his mouth, mumbling through the food, "At least let me finish eating before I go down and tear those Zamasus into a million pieces."
As he chewed on the duck meat, Beerus suddenly remembered something and suggested to Whis, "By the way, let's destroy that guy named Frieza too! I hate fence-sitters the most. He actually wanted to defect just now; it's disgusting."
If Frieza were here to hear this, he'd probably piss himself on the spot. The killing intent of a God of Destruction is no joke.
"From Frieza's expression just now, he might have actually had some sort of plan," Whis analyzed with a smile. "Unfortunately, as soon as Mr. Vegeta mentioned your name, he lost his nerve, so the plan naturally couldn't be carried out."
"What kind of good plan could that guy have? He just wanted to play some dirty tricks." Beerus snorted, picking up a piece of braised pork with his chopsticks. Just as he put it in his mouth, his gaze was suddenly drawn to a tin box nearby. "What the hell is this?"
"That's a can," Whis replied.
"A can? What's that?" Beerus picked up the tin box curiously, turning it over and over. Printed on it was a bright-furred female cat, elegantly licking its paw.
"You can think of it as pre-prepared cooked food, sealed and stored in advance. You just open it when you want to eat," Whis explained with a smile.
"The female cat drawn on this... she's quite cute." Beerus stared at the cat on the cover, his ears drooping slightly, and a hint of a blush actually appeared on his cheeks. He couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva.
"Lord Beerus, that's a female cat, not a 'lady cat'," Whis corrected, stifling a laugh.
Beerus's face instantly darkened. He glared fiercely at Whis, and his tail slammed against the table with a crack. "Shut up!!"
Pop!
Beerus easily pried open the lid with his claws. A rich aroma of meat instantly filled the air. He scooped out a small spoonful and carefully put it in his mouth.
The next second, Beerus's eyes lit up like two light bulbs, and his tail involuntarily curled up. In all his years, this was the first time he had ever tasted such delicious food!
"Delicious! It's too delicious!" Beerus was full of praise, his spoon moving rapidly. He kept smacking his lips, not even wanting to waste a drop of the juice.
Just as Beerus was eating with gusto...
"Whoosh!"
A silver-white flying saucer suddenly appeared out of thin air above the barrier, hovering in mid-air with a faint hum.
"Isn't that the time machine from Universe 12?" Beerus looked up, his mouth still full of canned meat.
"Yes, yes. It should be Mr. Vegeta and Mr. Frieza's companions arriving." Whis looked up, a look of realization flashing in his eyes.
"What's the use of them coming?" Beerus shook his head dismissively. "Unless they wait an hour for that fusion to wear off, anyone who comes is just a side dish. It's pure masochism."
Inside the saucer's cockpit, Son Goku was peering out the window. Seeing the two people on the barrier, he immediately patted Broly beside him. "Broly, look! It's Lord Beerus and Mr. Whis!"
Broly leaned over, stared at the two for a few seconds, and nodded slowly. "They look like them."
Son Goku: "..."
Son Goku rolled his eyes helplessly. Broly's answers were always so concise.
"Let's go down and say hello first, and ask about the situation below," Son Goku suggested.
Broly didn't object, but his gaze instinctively drifted toward the dining table on the barrier, his throat moving. He seemed to have smelled the aroma of food.
The saucer slowly descended, landing steadily on the barrier. The hatch opened, and Son Goku and Broly flew out one after another, landing firmly by the dining table.
As soon as Son Goku's feet touched the barrier, he couldn't help but tap it with his toes.
"Hello, Mr. Whis, Lord Beerus," Son Goku spoke first, greeting them with a smile, his attitude both respectful and familiar.
"Hello, Mr. Goku," Whis responded with a slight bow.
Beerus, however, rolled his eyes and asked irritably, "What? Is the 'me' from your world very close to you?"
"Yeah, very close! We've even had a few fights," Son Goku nodded, his tone carrying a hint of nostalgia.
"Oh? A few fights?" Beerus's interest was piqued. He put down his spoon and stared at Son Goku, his eyes full of provocation. "Looking at you, don't tell me you've actually beaten me?"
"Oh, no." Son Goku quickly waved his hands and said with a smile, "Lord Beerus is simply too strong. I'm no match at all; I get beaten up pretty badly every time."
"Hmph, at least you're sensible, kid." Beerus smiled with satisfaction, his tail lightly sweeping the ground.
"Is this barrier protecting Earth?" Son Goku pointed to the transparent shield beneath his feet and asked curiously.
"To be precise, it's to keep Zamasu locked inside," Whis explained with a smile. "To prevent him from escaping via Instant Transmission, the Lord Grand Minister specifically had us release the barrier to seal off the entire planet."
"Then how's the situation below? Vegeta and Frieza should have won by now, right?" Son Goku asked urgently, his eyes full of worry.
"The situation is not very optimistic," Whis's smile faded slightly as he shook his head.
Son Goku immediately followed Whis's gaze downward. Through the transparent barrier, he quickly saw the battlefield below. Vegeta and Frieza were covered in wounds, their auras erratic, being suppressed and beaten back by a figure in grey clothing, unable to fight back at all.
"Who is that guy? He looks so strong!" Son Goku asked in surprise. He could clearly feel the overwhelming aura coming from the opponent.
"He's the fusion of Goku Black and Vegeta Black. You can call him Vegito Black," Whis explained with a smile. "Haven't you and Mr. Vegeta fused before? How could you not recognize this form?"
"So it's Vegito Black!" Son Goku realized, then scratched his head sheepishly. "Haha, when I fused with Vegeta, I was too busy fighting to look in a mirror. I really didn't know what the fusion looked like."
Whis: "..."
Whis was stunned for a moment, then couldn't help but laugh. That reason was truly hard to argue with.
Broly, on the other hand, hadn't said a word the entire time. His gaze had long been drawn to the roasted chicken legs on the table. Taking advantage of the moment Beerus looked down to eat his canned food, he quietly reached out, quickly grabbed a chicken leg, and stuffed it into his mouth, his lips soon covered in oil.
Beerus had actually noticed his little move long ago, but seeing that Broly hadn't touched his cat food, he didn't bother to care. As long as he didn't touch his precious cans, a few chicken legs weren't worth getting angry over.
"So it's Vegito Black... no wonder Vegeta and Frieza can't beat him," Son Goku frowned, his tone grave.
"From the sound of it, you seem to have a lot of confidence in yourself?" Whis smiled at Son Goku, a hint of expectation in his eyes.
"It's hard to say right now. I'll have to go down and try it to find out," Son Goku nodded solemnly, a faint golden aura already beginning to rise around him.
"I don't object to you going down," Beerus looked up at Son Goku, his tone indifferent. "But let me say this first: if you die down there, it's just your bad luck. We're not from the same parallel world, so I might not necessarily save you."
"I know, I know!" Son Goku laughed, waving his hand dismissively. "I'll be careful. I won't cause any trouble for Lord Beerus."
"Whis, open a gap for him and let him in." Beerus waved his hand and picked up his spoon to dig into the can again. Cat food was much more important than watching a play.
Whis's staff tapped lightly on the barrier.
Click!
With a soft sound, a person-wide gap immediately appeared in the barrier, just enough for Son Goku to pass through.
"Mr. Goku can go in from here now," Whis smiled.
"Alright!" Son Goku nodded, then looked back at Broly. "Broly, let me go first this time. You wait up here. The fight in the other parallel world just now wasn't satisfying at all. This time, I'm going to properly stretch my muscles."
"Go ahead, go ahead," Broly agreed vaguely, while quietly swiping another chicken leg and stuffing it into his mouth to feast.
Beerus glared at him with a dark face but ultimately didn't explode. Fine, since he didn't touch the cat food.
Son Goku didn't delay any longer. He leaped down through the gap in the barrier, golden flames burning fiercely around him as he plummeted toward the ground like a meteor.
"Mr. Broly, if you want to eat, just eat openly," Whis couldn't help but laugh at Broly's stiff manner. With a wave of his staff, a large bowl full of roasted chicken legs instantly appeared on the table, glistening with oil and smelling delicious. "There's plenty more here, as much as you want."
Broly's eyes instantly lit up. He nodded vigorously and, no longer needing to be sneaky, grabbed a large chicken leg and began devouring it, oil smearing all over his face.
...
On the battlefield below, the situation was already completely one-sided. Vegeta and Frieza were fighting side-by-side, doing their best to resist Vegito Black, yet they were still being beaten without any power to fight back.
Vegito Black's figure darted between the two, his speed so fast he was just a blur. Every strike carried devastating power.
Vegito Black's strength was simply too great.
You see, while the Vegito formed by Son Goku and Vegeta is the strongest warrior, they are, after all, human bodies. The Potara earrings simply cannot withstand their full energy, only allowing them to exert a fraction of their power.
But Vegito Black was different. He was the fusion of Goku Black and Vegeta Black. These two occupied human bodies, but their souls were the souls of gods. The fusion of god souls not only allowed the fused power to be exerted to its limit but also didn't place an extra burden on the Potara earrings.
Even more terrifyingly, their fusion time could last for a full hour. In contrast, the fusion of Son Goku and Vegeta often only lasted a few minutes before being forced to dissolve.
"Hahaha! Foolish mortals! Did you think you could defeat me by joining forces? Pure delusion!" Vegito Black laughed loudly, his laughter full of arrogance and disdain.
With a flash, Vegito Black appeared behind the two. Both his fists struck simultaneously, slamming heavily into the backs of Vegeta and Frieza.
"Splat!"
Both of them spat out a mouthful of blood, their bodies falling limp to the ground. Their chests heaved violently, every breath accompanied by heart-wrenching pain.
Vegito Black hovered above them, looking down coldly as if looking at two ants.
Frieza's talk about "joining Zamasu's group" was, in the eyes of Vegito Black and the others, nothing more than a clumsy performance. With their insight, they had long seen through this lizard's opportunistic mind. Even if Frieza really surrendered, once his utility was exhausted, he would ultimately be unable to escape the fate of being silenced.
Moreover, Frieza had previously beaten Broly Black senseless; they had no intention of letting that debt go.
"Damn it!" Vegeta gritted his teeth as he struggled to crawl up from the ground, wiping the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand, his knuckles turning white from the effort.
Frieza also stood up, his body covered in dust and blood, his expression growing increasingly pathetic. At this point, both Frieza and Vegeta could only barely maintain their strongest forms. The purple light around Frieza flickered like a candle in the wind. The purple-red aura on Vegeta also wavered, threatening to dissipate at any moment.
"Mortals, I love how you refuse to give up yet are powerless to resist!" Vegito Black laughed wildly, his laughter full of sadistic pleasure.
As he spoke, Vegito Black flipped his palm, and a mass of twisted black energy rapidly condensed, turning into a spinning vortex.
This vortex was similar to a spatial wormhole, capable of delivering attacks precisely to the target through dimensional rifts.
He thrust his right hand into the vortex.
The next second, the space behind Frieza suddenly tore open, and another wormhole materialized.
"Watch out, Frieza!" Vegeta's pupils shrank as he shouted a warning.
But it was too late.
Bang!
Vegito Black's fist passed through the wormhole and slammed squarely into the side of Frieza's face.
Frieza let out a muffled groan, flying backward like a ball hit by a heavy hammer. He crashed heavily to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood. The purple light around him instantly shattered, and he completely reverted to his normal state.
"Worry about yourself first!" Vegito Black sneered, waving his left hand as another wormhole opened beside Vegeta.
Bang!
Vegito Black delivered a kick across the void.
Vegeta reacted quickly, raising his arms in a desperate block. However, the energy gap between the two was simply too vast. Vegito Black's foot easily broke through the defense and slammed heavily into Vegeta's chest.
"Splat..."
Vegeta spat out a mouthful of blood, his body flying backward several meters. He landed hard in a pile of rubble, his chest heaving violently.
Snap!
The purple-red aura on Vegeta's body dissipated instantly, and he too reverted to his normal state, every breath carrying a tearing pain.
"What? Are your transformations really this pathetic?" Vegito Black hovered in mid-air, his tone full of mockery. "Only 20 minutes have passed. My fused form can last for at least another 40!"
Vegeta: "..."
Frieza: "..."
The two gritted their teeth and crawled up from the ground, their expressions looking absolutely terrible. Forty minutes of being crushed—they simply couldn't hold out!
Kakarot, you bastard, where the hell are you? Vegeta cursed internally, his knuckles cracking as he clenched his fists.
"Oh ho ho ho! Even if Son Goku comes, he might not be a match for this guy, right?" Frieza rubbed his aching cheek, his tone full of pessimism. "Even if he teams up with Broly, at most they'd be at our current level."
"You're wrong. He and Broly can use Fusion to become Kakaroly," Vegeta whispered, a flicker of hope in his eyes.
"Fusion? What kind of messy technique is that now?" Frieza frowned, his face full of confusion.
"It's a special skill of the Metamorans. By synchronizing energy through specific dance movements, the bodies and powers of two people are fused into one individual," Vegeta explained. "By the way, the effect of Fusion is in no way inferior to a Potara fusion."
"Hmph, you want me, Frieza, to fuse with someone else? In your dreams!" Frieza immediately rolled his eyes, his tone full of disdain.
Vegeta: "..."
Several veins instantly popped on Vegeta's forehead, and he began to shake slightly with rage.
When did I ever say I wanted to fuse with you? What kind of monstrosity would I become if I fused with you? I'd rather fuse with that idiot Kakarot than ever merge with a lizard like you! At least after fusing with Kakarot, I'd still look like a human. Fusing with Frieza? I'd probably turn into some freakish chimera!
"You can give up on that idea, Vegeta," Frieza continued to snort to himself, completely unaware of Vegeta's murderous gaze.
"Rest assured, I'd rather fuse with a rock than fuse with a guy like you!" Vegeta snapped, his anger boiling over.
"Good to hear!" Frieza let out a sigh of relief, patting his chest.
"What? Are you two still discussing escape tactics?" Zamasu suddenly spoke, arms crossed as he looked at them with a smile. "Don't waste your breath. You're not getting away!"
"That's right. Since you dared to come, don't expect to leave alive!" Broly Black also snorted, the dark green energy around him surging.
"Hmph, do you really think we're out of options?" Vegeta snorted coldly, his sharp gaze fixing on Vegito Black. "Vegito Black, you should know what happens in the future!"
"Oh? Are you talking about Lord Zeno?" Vegito Black chuckled, his eyes full of smugness. "Did I forget to tell you? We've already met Lord Zeno before this. He personally said he could leave this planet to us to manage, as our experimental field for the Zero Mortals Plan!"
Vegeta's heart sank, a chill running from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.
"So, Lord Zeno will absolutely not interfere here," Vegito Black laughed even more arrogantly. "And as you can see, the barrier above the planet is the perfect cage. That lazy cat Beerus is just watching the show up there; he won't lift a finger!"
The unease in Vegeta's heart grew stronger.
Just then.
Frieza suddenly put on a fawning smile. "Uh... is it too late for me to join you guys now?"
"Frieza, you really are a hopeless case, aren't you?"
A familiar, cheerful voice suddenly rang out from nearby, cutting through the silence of the battlefield like a thunderclap.
Hearing this voice, Vegeta was first stunned, then his eyes grew slightly warm.
Kakarot, you bastard, you finally showed up!
Thud!
Golden flames fell like a meteor as Son Goku landed steadily beside Vegeta and Frieza, a faint energy afterglow still swirling around him.
"Son Goku!" Frieza immediately glared at him, his gaze instinctively scanning the surroundings. "Where's Broly? Why didn't he come?"
"Broly's up there eating. He said he didn't want to come down," Son Goku scratched his head, pointing to the barrier above.
Vegeta: "..."
Vegeta almost fainted from rage. What time is it, and that guy is still eating?!
"Get him down here right now! You two need to fuse to deal with Vegito Black!" Vegeta said in a low, urgent voice.
"Fuse?" Son Goku was slightly taken-back, musing, "It's so far away. If I shout from down here, Broly probably won't hear me, right?"
Vegeta fell into a sudden silence, his face so dark it looked like it could drip ink.
"A fused Vegito Black... interesting!" Son Goku's interest was suddenly piqued, his eyes flashing with the light of battle, completely oblivious to Vegeta's fury.
"Kakarot, don't be careless!" Vegeta warned, his expression growing even grimmer. "This guy's fusion has unleashed Vegito's full power. He's even stronger than when we fused back then!"
"Is that so?" Son Goku scratched his head, but his gaze grew even more heated, his battle intent already burning fiercely.
"Oh? And who do we have here? If it isn't Son Goku," Vegito Black looked Son Goku up and down, a contemptuous smile on his face. "Did you come here specifically to die?"
"You seem pretty confident," Son Goku smiled at Vegito Black, his tone calm but carrying an inexplicable pressure.
"The most powerful god in history has been born!" Vegito Black spread his arms, his face full of arrogance and pride. "This universe will soon be ours!"
"The most powerful god?" Son Goku shook his head, a hint of doubt in his tone. "How come I feel like... your strength is still a long way off compared to Lord Beerus?"
"Hmph, I'm not in the mood to discuss such boring topics with you!" Vegito Black's face darkened, killing intent flashing in his eyes. "Since you're here, don't think about leaving! You're all dying here today!"
"Kakarot." Vegeta suddenly spoke, interrupting the standoff.
Son Goku turned to look at him, completely confused.
Vegeta took a deep breath, gritted his teeth, and extended his right arm, his hand forming a specific pose. It was the starting position for the Metamoran Fusion.
Son Goku: "????"
Son Goku looked completely lost, failing to understand Vegeta's meaning at all.
"Hurry up!" Vegeta bared his teeth, the veins on his temples throbbing. "Don't make me change my mind!"
"What? Vegeta, what are you talking about? Hurry up with what?" Son Goku asked curiously, his eyes full of confusion.
"Fusion, obviously!" Vegeta's face was completely black. He wanted nothing more than to punch Son Goku in the head.
Do I really have to spell it out for you? Can't you see I've already struck the pose? You're the one who taught everyone this fusion technique in the first place!
"Huh? Right now?" Son Goku couldn't help but scratch his head, his eyes full of hesitation.
Vegeta: "..."
Vegeta was so angry his nose almost went crooked. He had finally managed to swallow his pride and ego to suggest fusing with Son Goku, and this guy was actually hesitating! This was a direct insult to his pride!
