"I'll try fighting him first," Son Goku said, stepping toward Vegito Black as golden energy began to gather around him. "If I can't beat him, it won't be too late to fuse then."
After taking a few steps, Goku suddenly stopped and turned back to Vegeta and Frieza. "By the way, where are your Senzu Beans?"
"That guy destroyed them," Vegeta said in a low, frustrated voice.
"So that means I have to finish them off quickly. Can't let this drag on." Goku took a deep breath, the smile fading from his face as his expression turned serious. Without Senzu Beans as a safety net, this fight had to be settled fast.
"Hmph, Son Goku, you're just as arrogant as ever!" Frieza rubbed his nose, his tone mocking yet carrying a faint hint of expectation.
"Kakarot is about to find out just how terrifying that guy is!" Vegeta clenched his fists, his palms already drenched in sweat.
"Are you all coming at me at once? Or is Vegito Black going to fight me one-on-one?" Goku cracked his knuckles and ankles, the energy fluctuations around him growing more intense.
"Against a piece of trash like you, I'm more than enough alone!" Vegito Black sneered, his eyes full of disdain. "But you've certainly got more guts than Vegeta, daring to challenge me by yourself!"
"I'd advise the three of you to come at me together," Goku grinned, showing his white teeth with a provocative tone. "Otherwise, you might not even get a chance to move."
"Boom!"
Before his voice even faded, the golden aura around Goku suddenly exploded, shooting straight into the sky! His hair instantly grew long and turned silver-white, with fine silver-white lightning coiling around his body.
Goku had directly activated the Super Saiyan 5 transformation!
Terrifying energy surged from him like a tsunami. The earth trembled violently, and rubble began to float into the air.
"What? What kind of weird transformation is this?" Vegito Black's expression shifted slightly, a flash of surprise in his eyes. He had never seen this form before.
"You're using a special form stacked on Super Saiyan 4, right?" Goku asked calmly with a smile.
"Indeed, it's Super Saiyan 4 stacked with Super Saiyan Rosé 2!" Vegito Black nodded, forcing down his surprise and maintaining a tough tone.
"This one of mine is called Super Saiyan 5," Goku answered simply.
"I see! Nothing but a bluff!" Vegito Black snorted, his disdain returning. "What does Super Saiyan 5 even matter? Before me, it's just as pathetic!"
"Don't be in such a hurry, there's more." Goku smiled. The aura around him suddenly changed, turning into a brilliant silver-white flame that sparkled like the stars, carrying an ethereal and majestic presence.
On top of Super Saiyan 5, Goku had activated Ultra Instinct Sign!
The starlight intertwined, forming a dazzling aura. Goku's eyes became clear and empty, as if he had merged with the world around him.
The contempt on Vegito Black's face finally vanished, replaced by deep gravity.
With his silver hair dancing like wild flames and the silver-white starlight surging around him, every pulse of energy caused fine cracks to appear on the ground. Goku's figure looked even more imposing in the light, his aura climbing to a suffocating height.
Seeing Goku like this, Vegeta's pupils shrank. His eyes almost popped out of his head, and his fingers clenched unconsciously until his knuckles turned white. His gaze was filled with unmasked shock and disbelief.
"Son Goku, what the hell do you call this transformation?" Frieza hovered in mid-air, the spikes on his tail trembling slightly as he suppressed the tremor in his heart to ask. His triangular eyes were full of scrutiny.
"This?" Goku scratched the back of his head, the electricity in his hair crackling. He spoke casually, "This is Ultra Instinct Sign stacked on top of Super Saiyan 5. You could also call it... Super Saiyan 7!"
Frieza: "..."
Vegeta: "..."
The two fell silent instantly. The air seemed to freeze.
Super Saiyan 7 already? Is this guy's bullshit getting a bit too out of hand?
Vegeta ground his teeth. The Ultra Ego he had nearly died to master... and this guy just jumps straight to Super Saiyan 7?
Frieza rolled his eyes internally, thinking Goku was just trying to scare people with a fancy name.
...
High above, outside the barrier.
Whis hovered elegantly, his staff swaying gently as the crystal ball reflected the scene below. Beerus sat at the dining table, his tail swishing against the chair as he kept his eyes locked on Goku. Every word Goku said was clearly captured by the two of them.
"Hey, Whis, what did that guy just say? Super Saiyan 7?" Beerus raised an eyebrow, a mocking smile on his face. He clearly didn't take the name seriously.
"Yes, Lord Beerus," Whis nodded, his usual gentle smile in place.
"What was that transformation Vegeta used earlier?" Beerus sat up straighter, asking with interest.
"He mastered Ultra Ego," Whis explained patiently.
"I mean, what Super Saiyan level does that Ultra Ego correspond to?" Beerus asked more directly.
"If we have to map it to Super Saiyan levels... it feels roughly equivalent to Mr. Goku's Super Saiyan 5," Whis mused, providing a reasonable analysis based on his perception.
"The gap is that big?" Beerus was stunned, his mockery fading. He was genuinely surprised. He had thought the gap between Vegeta and Goku had narrowed.
"Not only that, I feel that Mr. Goku's current strength has even slightly surpassed yours, Lord Beerus," Whis's smile deepened, his tone certain.
"You... what did you say?!" Beerus snapped upright, his eyes wide with shock. "You're saying that guy's strength has surpassed mine? Don't make me laugh! I'm a God of Destruction!"
"Oh my, oh my, Lord Beerus is getting defensive," Whis giggled, his shoulders shaking.
Beerus: "..."
Beerus clenched his fists, the veins on his forehead throbbing. A faint purple Destruction energy flared around him, clearly provoked by the statement. After a brief silence, he suddenly grinned brilliantly, his tail wagging happily. "Fine. If his strength really has surpassed mine, he should be able to easily wipe out Zamasu and the others. That saves me some trouble."
He paused, a hint of battle intent flashing in his eyes. "And then, I'll have a good time playing with him later."
Whis didn't reply, just watched with a smile. Beerus glanced to the side and saw Broly crouching at the edge of the barrier, stuffing his face with food, his chin covered in crumbs.
"Hey, kid, in your parallel world, did I ever fight that Son Goku guy?" Beerus asked condescendingly.
Broly nodded, his mouth full of food, letting out a muffled "Mhm" without stopping his eating.
"I beat the crap out of him, didn't I?" Beerus asked with excitement, leaning in.
"Mhm," Broly nodded again, grabbing a piece of roast meat.
"Good." Beerus laughed triumphantly, shrugging at Whis.
"But that was several years ago," Broly added flatly after swallowing.
"What? You think the current him has surpassed me?" Beerus's face darkened, and the air pressure around him dropped.
"Don't know," Broly shook his head and went back to eating. He wasn't about to argue with a God of Destruction; he couldn't beat him anyway.
"At least you're sensible, kid!" Beerus snorted and rolled his eyes.
Broly glanced at Beerus and muttered to himself: You dare glare at me? Just wait until I fuse with Goku into Kakaroly. I'll blow you away! Kakaroly is insanely strong! But... for now, I really can't beat him alone. I'll just keep eating and stay out of trouble.
Broly stopped paying attention to Beerus and sped up his eating. He suddenly felt that mooching off someone else's food tasted especially good.
...
In the center of the battlefield.
Vegito Black stared at Goku's transformation, stunned for a moment before laughing loudly and mockingly. "Super Saiyan 7? Hahaha! Interesting, more and more interesting!"
His eyes turned sharp and mocking. "Son Goku, do you think adding a random number after 'Super Saiyan' is going to scare anyone? Do you know who is standing before you? This is Vegito, the strongest fusion in history!"
"Oh? Is that so?" Goku tilted his head, his relaxed smile never wavering. His energy fluctuations were terrifyingly stable.
"In another timeline, you and Vegeta fused with Potara earrings. The strength you showed even made a god like me wary!" Vegito Black said through gritted teeth, a flash of fear in his eyes before he grinned savagely. "But in this timeline, it seems you two haven't fused yet, have you?"
"There's no need for that," Goku grinned, his tone as casual as if they were just chatting. "Are you done talking? Can we start now?"
"Since you're so eager to die, I'll fulfill your wish!" Killing intent erupted from Vegito Black. His aura flared, swirling the surrounding rubble into the air.
"Are you coming here, or should I go there?" Goku asked with a smile.
"Hmph, arrogant!" Vegito Black roared in fury. He turned into a streak of light, charging at Goku with incredible speed, leaving afterimages behind.
Whoosh!
Vegito Black's right hand condensed dense energy into a rose-colored blade, the edge shimmering with a cold light as it stabbed straight for Goku's heart. It was a lethal, lightning-fast strike.
"Son Goku is in trouble. This is what happens when you underestimate your enemy!" Frieza shook his head, a schadenfreude smile on his face. In his view, Goku couldn't possibly dodge this.
"He's about to find out how dangerous that shameless bastard is!" Vegeta snorted, his eyes fixed on the battlefield with a mix of wanting Goku to learn a lesson and worrying he'd actually get hurt.
Facing the incoming blade, Goku merely narrowed his eyes, judged the speed and angle, and slowly reached out his right hand. With two fingers, he lightly pinched.
And then, with perfect precision, Goku caught the rose-colored blade between his fingers.
"What?!" Vegito Black's pupils shrank. His savage grin froze into utter shock. "He caught my blade with just two fingers? This is impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
Vegito Black strained with all his might to pull his hand back, but Goku's fingers were like forged steel, unmoving.
"All that posturing, and you're just a paper tiger," Goku said with a look of disappointment, shaking his head. "I thought you'd be strong after fusing, but is this really all you've got?"
"You... what did you say?!" Vegito Black's face flushed red with rage and shock, his energy fluctuating wildly.
"How... how is this possible?" Vegeta was completely stunned, his mouth hanging open wide enough to fit a fist.
Vegeta had personally experienced the terror of Vegito Black. That guy's strength was far beyond his own. How could he be so easily suppressed by Son Goku?
"Son Goku actually caught Vegito Black's attack? And with just two fingers! Am I seeing things?" Frieza's face changed repeatedly, his triangular eyes bulging so much he almost fell out of the sky. This was completely beyond his understanding.
Bang!
Before Vegito Black could react, Goku released his fingers. Immediately after, he threw a punch so fast its trajectory was nearly invisible, striking Vegito Black squarely in the chest.
"Argh..."
Vegito Black let out a heart-wrenching scream. His body flew backward like a ragdoll hit by a giant hammer, his energy instantly dissipating. At that moment, everyone present clearly saw a black phantom shoot out from Vegito Black's body, forcibly separating from him.
The next second, Vegito Black crashed heavily to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust. The black phantom then whooshed back, overlapping with his body again.
Vegito Black shuddered, his face instantly turning deathly pale.
"Ugh... cough..."
The moment he hit the ground, Vegito Black spat out large amounts of black blood that sizzled as it hit the earth. His face was as white as paper, and his aura was so weak it could barely be felt.
Everyone on the scene was frozen; time seemed to stand still.
What the hell was that? The fused Vegito Black was actually beaten back to his senses by a single punch?
"You've got to be kidding me!" Frieza's triangular eyes were wide with utter shock. "Son Goku actually made Vegito Black bleed with just one punch? This is pure fantasy!"
Vegeta: "..."
Vegeta's mouth twitched uncontrollably, his mind in a state of turmoil. The Vegito Black who had toyed with him and Frieza a thousand times, who seemed invincible, was actually defeated so easily by Kakarot?
Why is the gap between us so huge? Where did it all go wrong?
"What was that phantom that just appeared?" Frieza hovered in mid-air, the spikes on his tail tensing slightly, his eyes full of confusion. In all his long life, he had never seen an attack produce such an effect.
"It's... it might be his soul!" Vegeta clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white, his teeth grinding. His eyes were filled with unbelievable shock.
"His soul?" Frieza was startled, his pupils shrinking. An attack that could directly affect the soul? This was beyond his understanding of combat.
"Lord Beerus said it earlier—this guy has an immortal body, but only the body is immortal. The soul is not," Vegeta explained rapidly, his tone urgent. "As long as his soul is destroyed, he'll be nothing but a useless husk!"
"So, Son Goku just... punched the soul out of Vegito Black?" Frieza finally realized, his voice rising in pitch, his face full of astonishment. When did that lazy Saiyan get such a terrifying ability?
"Kakarot... if that's really the case, then this guy is truly incredible." Vegeta's mouth twitched again, his heart a mess of emotions. He admired Goku's strength, but he couldn't help but feel a competitive sting.
...
High above, outside the barrier.
Beerus sat up straight on his floating cushion, his tail lightly tapping the edge, a hint of surprise in his eyes. "Oh? This kid isn't simple. He actually knocked the soul out of that guy with one punch."
Beerus had originally thought Goku's "Super Saiyan 7" was just for show, but it turned out he really had some skill.
"It is indeed remarkable. A warrior who can precisely attack the soul is extremely rare in the universe," Whis nodded, his smile growing warmer, the crystal ball atop his staff flickering with approval.
"I'll definitely have to have a good fight with this kid later. It's been a long time since I've had that kind of exercise!" Beerus's interest was piqued, a faint purple-red Destruction energy flaring around him. He clearly couldn't wait to fight.
Broly still didn't say a word, holding a roast meat platter larger than his head and stuffing meat into his mouth. Oil dripped down his chin, staining it a glossy brown. He chewed so vigorously it looked like he was putting his whole body into it.
Beerus glanced at Broly, his brow furrowing slightly. I feel like this kid is eating more than I am.
"Hey, kid, how many days has it been since you last ate?" Beerus asked, his tone carrying a hint of dissatisfaction.
"The food here is good," Broly swallowed the meat and grinned, showing two rows of oil-stained teeth.
"Of course it is. Whis prepared it specifically. You're lucky, kid," Beerus snorted, his tail wagging proudly. He stared at Broly for a few more seconds, and the more he looked, the more annoyed he felt. He couldn't help but mutter, "I don't know why... but seeing you eat like a starving animal makes me want to punch you."
Broly: "..."
The roast meat in Broly's hand stopped mid-air. He immediately put the platter down. Then, he grabbed a napkin, quickly wiped his mouth, and stood up straight as a board, like a reed hardened by the wind. He stood at attention, even slowing his breathing.
"Is Mr. Broly not eating anymore?" Whis asked with a hidden smile. This kid was way too afraid of Beerus.
"I'm full," Broly answered immediately, his voice as clear as if he were reciting a textbook, not daring to even glance at Beerus.
Whis: "..."
Whis shook his head helplessly. How afraid of being hit are you? You looked like you wanted to swallow the whole platter just a second ago.
Seeing Broly stop eating, Beerus felt much better. He nodded with satisfaction, and his tail relaxed. Then, his gaze returned to the battlefield below, his attention fully captured by Son Goku.
Taking advantage of Beerus not looking, Broly quickly grabbed a burger and whooshed it into his mouth. His cheeks puffed out as he chewed rapidly, his eyes darting warily at Beerus like a little thief.
Whis covered his face. He couldn't bear to watch anymore. This kid was really going all out for food.
...
On the battlefield below.
Vegito Black lay on the ground, his chest heaving violently. Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth like a broken string of pearls, pooling into a dark red puddle on the ground. Goku's punch hadn't just shattered his defense; it had severely wounded his soul. Even with an immortal body, his recovery was extremely slow, and he couldn't gather any strength for the moment.
"Kakarot, don't hesitate! Kill him now!" Vegeta suddenly shouted, his tone urgent. "That guy has an immortal body, but you've already wounded his soul. As long as you destroy it, he'll be dead for good!"
"Immortal body?" Goku scratched his head, his relaxed expression fading as he turned serious. He looked at Zamasu nearby and asked in confusion, "I thought only that guy was immortal. Did everyone else become immortal too?"
"Yes, they all used the Super Dragon Balls to wish for immortality," Vegeta nodded, his eyes full of hatred. It was this damn immortality that had caused them so much trouble.
"Got it!" Goku didn't hesitate any longer. The silver-white starlight energy around him flared up again. He pushed off the ground and shot toward Vegito Black like an arrow from a bow.
