Chapter 217 - Chapter 217: Son Goku Descends on Planet Namek

Boom!

Another pillar of fire grazed his arm. Cabba felt a surge of sharp pain as the skin on his arm was scorched, making him howl in agony.

Seeing that things were going south, Cabba immediately shot up into the sky, panting heavily as he hovered at a high altitude. "Looks like I'll have to hide up here for a bit until your energy runs out!"

"You idiot! Don't let your guard down!" Hit suddenly shouted a warning, his eyes fixed intently on the space beneath Cabba.

Just as the words left his mouth, four pillars of fire suddenly converged, transforming into four ferocious fire dragons. With their bloody maws wide open, they lunged toward Cabba's position.

Cabba's face paled as he frantically rolled and dodged in mid-air.

However, the fire dragons were like maggots on a bone, sticking close to him and refusing to let go.

Rumble!

The next moment, the four fire dragons exploded simultaneously, completely swallowing Cabba in a sea of flames.

As the fire dissipated, the ground below had been scorched to a charred black, and the air was thick with the pungent smell of burning.

Slap!

Covered in wounds, Cabba charged out from the charred remains, his hair singed and curled. Gritting his teeth, he used his last ounce of strength to rush toward Moro.

Moro was slightly taken aback but didn't panic at all. With a wave of his hand, a thick wall of fire instantly rose in front of him.

Cabba slammed on the brakes, his body nearly crashing into the fire wall. He stopped just in time, his chest heaving violently.

Just as Cabba let out a small sigh of relief.

Moro's face suddenly appeared on the other side of the fire wall, looking at him with a smile. "With this pathetic level of yours, you still want to challenge me? You can't even touch a single hair on my finger!"

With that, Moro manipulated the fire wall, turning it into a massive pillar of fire that smashed down toward Cabba.

Cabba dodged pathetically. After several leaps, he finally escaped to Hit's side, collapsing onto the ground and gasping for air.

"That's enough. Step back and let me handle this," Hit ordered with a cold face, already prepared for battle.

"Don't, Hit!" Cabba's mouth twitched as he hurriedly waved his hand. "I finally managed to grasp Super Saiyan God. Encountering such a troublesome opponent is the perfect chance to hone my combat skills! Let me fight a bit longer, please!"

"Tch!" Hit snorted impatiently but didn't insist further. The look in his eyes clearly signaled his agreement.

"Great! If Master Vegeta saw me now, he'd definitely be proud!" Cabba forced a smile and struggled to stand up.

Hit silently clenched his fists, muttering to himself.

I hope you can still smile in a moment.

"Thanks a lot!" Cabba quickly expressed his gratitude, then turned to look at Moro and shouted at the top of his lungs: "Hey! You old goat! There's got to be a limit to this fire trick of yours, right? As long as I keep dodging until you run out of energy, I'll win!"

"Hehehe! How unfortunate!" Moro chuckled, his voice full of mockery. "This move can be used until the planet's life energy is completely exhausted. It's basically unlimited! How long do you think you can keep dodging?"

"You... what did you say?" Cabba's face instantly turned deathly pale, his body trembling slightly.

Unlimited use?

How the hell are we supposed to fight this?

After a brief moment of shock.

Cabba let out a long sigh and said dejectedly, "To be honest, I'm out of options. This is all the power I've got... I admit I've lost to you. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have stuck my nose where it didn't belong."

Hit: "..."

Hit silently facepalmed.

This kid is doing this again?

The last time they were on a mission in Universe 6, he used this "fake surrender" trick to fool an evil overlord.

Now he actually wants to pull the same stunt in Universe 7?

"What? Giving up already? You're quite sensible!" Moro gave a contemptuous smile, a flash of pride in his eyes.

"Now can you tell me who you actually are? And what's your purpose for coming to Planet Namek?" Cabba looked up, his eyes filled with a sincere inquiry.

Moro: "..."

Moro suddenly felt something was off.

This kid gave up way too easily.

Could there be some kind of scheme?

"You're about to die anyway, there's no need for you to know!" Killing intent flashed in Moro's eyes as he raised his hands again, preparing to deliver the fatal blow.

"Wait! Tell us your goal. Maybe not killing us would be more beneficial for you!" Cabba hurriedly waved his hands, a sincere smile on his face. "We know a lot of cosmic secrets. Maybe we can help you achieve your goal!"

"Hahaha! Are you trying to beg for mercy?" Moro laughed loudly, doubling over. "But you two are indeed a bit stronger than I imagined. Since you want to beg for mercy, let's see how you perform! Speak, what can you do for me?"

"Tell us, what's your goal? If we can help, we'll definitely go all out!" Cabba said with a smile, his eyes putting on a sincere act as he secretly gave Hit a look.

"My name is Moro. I came here to find the Dragon Balls." Moro narrowed his eyes. Although he still had doubts, seeing Cabba's submissive look, he still stated his purpose.

"Dragon Balls? There are Dragon Balls here too?" Cabba feigned a shock, turning to look at Hit with a face full of confusion, as if he were hearing about this for the first time.

Hit stood to the side in silence, just staring coldly at Moro, his hands secretly placed on his waist.

He wanted to see how long this kid Cabba could keep up the act.

"What? Why did you say 'too'?" Moro sensed something was wrong and pressed with a frown, a flash of alertness in his cloudy eyes.

Cabba looked up, intentionally staring at the empty sky with a dazed expression, muttering to himself: "I didn't see any Dragon Balls in the nearby starry sky... if there were any, they should be very conspicuous. Could they be like the one we encountered in that tournament, covered in rock on the surface?"

"Kid, are the Dragon Balls you're talking about the same thing I'm talking about?" Moro took a step forward, his magic fluctuating slightly. He was clearly losing patience.

"Eh? Are they different?" Cabba asked back with feigned surprise. "How about you describe what the Dragon Balls you're looking for look like first? Maybe we've seen them!"

"About this big, golden all over with star markings. There are seven in total. Once gathered, they can grant any wish." Moro used his hands to gesture a circle about the size of a basketball, his tone certain.

"I've got it! I remember now!" Cabba slapped his thigh, as if having a sudden realization. "What you're talking about are called 'Wish Pearls.' They aren't real Dragon Balls at all! The wishes they can grant are extremely limited, practically like toys!"

"Not real Dragon Balls?" Moro was slightly stunned, his face instantly darkening.

Is this kid fucking with me?

"You've never seen real Dragon Balls?" Cabba shook his head, his face showing undisguised contempt. "Looks like you don't even know the basic common sense of the universe."

"Explain yourself!" Moro's face turned black, and the surrounding air pressure dropped sharply, scaring Cabba into taking half a step back.

"Real Dragon Balls are about the size of a planet. Although not as big as Planet Namek, they're at least a quarter of its size!" Cabba quickly explained, his tone carrying a bit of showing off. "And those are called Super Dragon Balls. They can grant any wish without any restrictions! These 'Wish Pearls' you're looking for, even if you succeed in making a wish, it probably won't achieve the effect you want. It's a total waste of time."

"Real Dragon Balls are as big as a planet?" Moro was completely stunned, his eyes wide and round.

He had lived for ten million years, and this was the first time he had heard of such a thing.

"Of course! Hit and I saw a real Super Dragon Ball while on a mission in the universe before!" As Cabba spoke, he immediately pulled out a camera that looked like a phone and beckoned to Moro. "I even took photos and videos. Come take a look and you'll see!"

Moro hesitated for a moment but ultimately couldn't resist his curiosity. He stepped over and leaned into the camera screen, seeing the massive golden planet on the display.

It was exactly the Three-Star Super Dragon Ball that Cabba and Hit had encountered before.

Moro's eyes instantly lit up, and his breathing became rapid.

Before, Cranberry had said the Dragon Balls on Planet Namek could grant wishes, and Moro already thought that was amazing. He never expected there to be Dragon Balls as big as planets!

Anyone with half a brain could tell that the wishes granted by Super Dragon Balls would definitely be more substantial!

"Cranberry, get out here!" Moro suddenly turned and shouted toward the spaceship.

Although Cranberry didn't know what was happening outside, hearing Moro's command, he still obediently walked out of the ship and ran to Moro's side, asking respectfully, "Mr. Moro, what do you need?"

"Have you heard of Dragon Balls as big as a planet? Super Dragon Balls!" Moro pressed directly, his eyes fixed on Cranberry.

"No... I've never heard of such large Dragon Balls existing." Cranberry shook his head blankly, his face full of confusion. "The Dragon Balls Lord Frieza was looking for back then were only basketball-sized."

"See? You're just ignorant," Cabba snorted coldly, looking smug. "Those are called Super Dragon Balls. It's normal for small-time characters like you to have never heard of them!"

"Cabba is right. I have indeed heard of this." Hit suddenly spoke up, his tone flat but carrying a certain level of credibility. "It's said that the Dragon Balls on Planet Namek were actually made from fragments of the Super Dragon Balls, which is why they can grant wishes. But precisely because they are fragments, the wishes they can grant are limited. Many powerful wishes simply cannot be achieved."

"So that's how it is!" Cabba feigned a sudden realization, nodding thoughtfully. "I heard the Namekians in our universe mention this before, but I didn't pay attention at the time. Now that Hit says it, it really is the case!"

Moro fell silent.

Cabba had the photo as proof, and Hit's words were reasonable. It seemed what they said was true.

In an instant, the Dragon Balls on Planet Namek didn't seem so appealing anymore!

To restore his magic to its peak from ten million years ago, ordinary Dragon Balls might really not be able to do it!

"Do you know how to find the Super Dragon Balls? Where are they located?" Moro asked urgently, the greed in his tone almost overflowing.

"Super Dragon Balls are scattered in every corner of the universe. Finding them is indeed a bit of a hassle." Cabba gave a smirk, intentionally playing hard to get. "But once you find them, you can make any wish you want. Even restarting the universe is no problem!"

"You only need to tell me the location of one of them, and I'll find the rest myself!" Moro said in a deep voice, unable to wait any longer.

"That's easy! I'll just take you to find them!" Cabba agreed readily, then changed the subject. "But our spaceship's speed is limited. It'll take at least several days to get there. Can you wait?"

"Several days?" Moro's brow furrowed slightly, a bit impatient.

He wished he could find the Super Dragon Balls right this second.

"If you don't want to wait, then forget it. Anyway, even if you collect the Dragon Balls on this planet, you won't be able to achieve your wish in the end. Don't blame me for not warning you then." Cabba smiled and spread his hands with an air of indifference, turning to walk toward the ship.

Moro was suddenly torn, as if two voices were fighting in his head.

One said, "Don't believe this kid, it might be a trap," and the other said, "The Super Dragon Balls are the key, you can't miss this."

"Mr. Moro, do you think there's a possibility... that the wish you want to make can be done by ordinary Dragon Balls too?" Cranberry asked cautiously. He was still thinking about going to a border planet to live out his days.

Moro glanced at Cranberry and snorted coldly, not even bothering to answer him.

What does this idiot know!

"By the way, what wish are you going to make? Is it convenient to tell us? I'll help you analyze it and see if ordinary Dragon Balls can do it." Cabba suddenly turned back and asked with a helpful face.

"It's fine to tell you." Moro thought about it. It wasn't a secret anyway, so he spoke truthfully. "Actually, it's very simple. I just want to restore my magic to its peak from ten million years ago, returning to my prime state."

"So it's that kind of wish..." Cabba pondered, intentionally dragging out his tone. "I reckon it's a long shot. The Dragon Balls here probably can't achieve such a powerful wish."

Moro: "..."

Moro's face instantly darkened, and the last shred of hope he had for ordinary Dragon Balls was shattered.

If they can't even restore his magic, then what's the point of these Dragon Balls?

"So, it's better to go find the Super Dragon Balls. Only those can grant your wish." Cabba struck while the iron was hot, his tone full of temptation.

"Super Dragon Balls..." Moro took a deep breath and nodded gravely. "Fine, I'll believe you this once. I hope you're not lying to me, otherwise I'll make you wish you were dead!"

"Why would I lie to you? You're so powerful, you could kill me with one slap. How would I dare to lie to you!" Cabba scratched his head, putting on a scared act.

"Very good, you're quite sensible!" Moro was very satisfied with Cabba's attitude. Then his eyes turned cold as he looked at Hit, his killing intent undisguised.

This guy who could control time would always be a threat if left alive.

Hit's expression was cold, showing no fear at all. Instead, he took a step forward, blocking in front of Cabba, his hands already gathering energy.

"Hit is my friend, you can't touch him!" Cabba immediately stepped forward, standing between Hit and Moro, his tone firm. "If you dare to touch a single hair on his head, I won't take you to find the Super Dragon Balls even if I die! The fighting before was all a misunderstanding. Now that we've reconciled, we're companions from now on!"

Hit: "..."

Hit silently facepalmed.

What the hell is this kid trying to do?

Is he really going to take this evil old guy to find the Super Dragon Balls?

Isn't he afraid of playing with fire?

Moro hesitated for a moment, but ultimately suppressed his killing intent.

Now was not the time to kill Hit.

Once they found the Super Dragon Balls and he restored his magic, it wouldn't be too late to deal with these two!

"Mr. Moro... you aren't really going to look for the Super Dragon Balls, are you? What about our previous agreement..." Cranberry asked hurriedly, his voice carrying a hint of desperation.

"Indeed, the Super Dragon Balls are far more valuable than these broken beads." Moro nodded slightly, not giving Cranberry's words a second thought.

"Then... then what about me?" Cranberry grew anxious; his border planet was still nowhere in sight.

"Since we're going to find the Super Dragon Balls, there's no longer any need to keep you around." Moro suddenly turned his head, his eyes as cold as knives. He grabbed Cranberry by the neck, his fingers tightening with force.

Snap!

A crisp sound of bone cracking rang out. Cranberry's neck was twisted and broken instantly. His head slumped powerlessly to one side, his eyes wide and round. He clearly couldn't believe, even in death, that he would end up like this.

Cabba and Hit watched this, their faces showing no emotion at all.

A guy like this, who used others for profit, deserved to die. There was no need to step in and stop it.

"Alright, the nuisance is dealt with. Let's move out!" Moro let go of his hand.

Cranberry's corpse fell to the ground with a thud.

Moro, however, gave an indifferent smile.

"Alright! Take our spaceship, and I'll lead you to find the Super Dragon Balls!" Cabba smiled and pointed to the silver-grey ship not far away, his tone full of enthusiasm.

"But before that, I still have one very important thing to do." Moro's mouth curled up into a weird arc, a flash of greed crossing his cloudy eyes.

"What is it?" Cabba was taken aback, a bad feeling rising in his heart.

"Eat this planet's energy!" As Moro spoke, he slowly raised his right hand. Invisible magic surged from his palm as he began to frantically absorb New Namek's life energy.

The surrounding grass and trees withered instantly, and the ground became parched and cracked.

"Eating the planet?" Cabba was stunned and hurriedly took two steps back.

This old guy is actually this ruthless!

"He's absorbing the planet's core energy. At this rate, it won't be long before this planet becomes a dead star," Hit said in a deep voice, his eyes full of solemnity.

"Wait a second! Don't you dare go overboard!" Cabba grew anxious, waving his hands frantically. "I'm good friends with the Grand Elder of this planet. If you destroy it, I won't take you to find the Super Dragon Balls even if I die! I mean it!"

Moro: "..."

Moro's movements paused. He slowly stopped absorbing the energy and stared coldly at Cabba.

Moro was greedy, but he wasn't stupid enough to lose the big picture for a small gain.

However, even after absorbing only a portion of the energy, Moro felt his body fill with power. The wrinkles on his face smoothed out a bit, and his appearance seemed to have rejuvenated slightly.

"That'll do. With this bit of energy, my lifespan can be extended by at least a hundred years." Moro gave a light smile, his tone full of pride. "Count yourself lucky, otherwise this planet would already be a ruin."

"So you rely on eating a planet's energy to restore your stamina and lifespan." Cabba realized, nodding thoughtfully while secretly calculating in his mind.

This guy is indeed dangerous. I have to find a way to get rid of him!

"Correct." Moro didn't hide it. He then looked coldly at Cabba, his tone carrying a threat. "You'd better not play any tricks, otherwise I'll make you die a miserable death—even more miserable than that idiot just now!"

"How could I? I definitely won't lie to you. I'll lead you to the Super Dragon Balls for sure!" Cabba put on a sincere smile and made a "please" gesture. "Let's go, our ship is right over there. Get on board!"

Moro said no more and stepped onto the spaceship along with Cabba and Hit.

The hatch slowly closed, and the engine started instantly with a piercing roar.

Whoosh!

The spaceship shot into the sky, turning into a streak of light that quickly disappeared over New Namek's horizon.

Just as the ship left, a flash of white light appeared. Son Goku, bringing Piccolo along via Instant Transmission, appeared beside Elder Muli, who was hiding behind a cliff.

"Goku! You finally made it!" Muli saw Goku and was moved to tears. He hurriedly stepped forward and grabbed his hand. "Just now, a wicked old guy almost destroyed our planet!"

"Ah... long time no see, Elder Muli." After landing, Goku waved to Muli with a bright smile, his tone relaxed and natural.

"Hello, Mr. Piccolo." Muli then turned to Piccolo and gave a polite greeting, his attitude respectful.

He knew Piccolo's current strength; he was no longer the evil Namekian from years ago.

Piccolo nodded slightly, his gaze sweeping over the messy ground. He then released his senses to scan the area, his brows furrowing tightly. "Didn't you say an evil person appeared on the planet? Where is he? Why can't I sense any evil aura?"

"They've already left." Muli hurriedly told Goku and Piccolo everything that had happened, from the appearance of Hit and Cabba to Moro's cruelty, and finally the three of them leaving on the ship—not missing a single word.

"So it was Hit and Cabba from Universe 6. They actually came to Universe 7?" Goku was a bit surprised, rubbing his chin as he marveled. "Speaking of which, I've always wanted to go check out Universe 6. I heard the Saiyans over there are a bit different from us."

"It's said they were sent over through a wormhole. As for what kind of wormhole it was, I'm not sure," Muli added, his tone carrying a bit of lingering fear.

Muli still felt a chill when he thought back to that scene just now.

"It was those two who took that guy named Moro away, right?" Piccolo caught the key point and pressed with a question.

"Yes, they said they didn't care for our Namekian Dragon Balls and planned to go look for the Super Dragon Balls." Muli nodded in response, his tone full of worry. "I'm afraid that once they find the Super Dragon Balls, it will bring an even greater disaster to the universe."

"Super Dragon Balls?" Goku's expression instantly turned solemn, his hands unconsciously clenching.

It was precisely because of the Super Dragon Balls that the Zamasu incident was triggered.

Although that immortal Zamasu wasn't that hard to kill, he had caused massive destruction to the timeline where Trunks lived.

Goku didn't want his own main timeline to repeat that mistake.
