Zarbon and Dodoria did not dare to delay for even a second. They immediately stepped forward and bowed respectfully.
Frieza, however, reached out and patted Zarbon's head, then Dodoria's.
Mm… this tangible, physical sensation.
It really was refreshing.
So this isn't a dream.
I, Frieza, have truly been reborn!
Zarbon and Dodoria trembled violently, their faces turning pale.
Lord Frieza… please don't touch us randomly…
What's wrong with you?
You're acting so strangely—it's terrifying!
"Strange… what happened to this planet?" Frieza glanced around casually. "It looks like it's been through a major battle."
Zarbon and Dodoria hesitated, unable to figure out how to explain.
"I remember Vegeta and Cui once fought on this planet," Frieza frowned slightly. "Did those two cause this much destruction?"
Zarbon and Dodoria were completely speechless.
How did you forget everything?
When did Vegeta and Cui ever fight here?
"Set course for Namek… but first, we're stopping by Cooler's place," Frieza said calmly, issuing his order.
"Whoosh!"
A spaceship sped in from the distance and landed beside the three of them.
Frieza stepped aboard.
Zarbon and Dodoria followed closely behind.
"Clang!"
The hatch closed, and the ship shot into the vast starry sky.
"Until we reach Cooler's territory, don't disturb me. Understood?" Frieza said with a smile.
"Yes!" the two replied at once.
Frieza said nothing more. He locked himself inside a room and began training seriously.
First, I'll surpass Cooler.
From here to his place, then to Namek, will take about one month.
Perfect.
In one month, I, Frieza, will return to my peak.
Then I'll go to Namek…
And humiliate Son Goku thoroughly.
…
Earth, Mount Paozu.
"Chi-Chi, I'm back!" Goku instantly appeared inside the house and greeted her with a laugh.
"Goku… you're back? Where's Gohan?" Chi-Chi turned around, didn't see her son, and immediately felt anxious.
"Gohan said he wants to train for a while, so I sent him to practice," Goku replied with a smile. "I'll bring him back in a few days. Don't worry."
"Goku, Gohan is only five years old! You're already letting him fight with you?" Chi-Chi scolded angrily.
"This time, Gohan didn't fight," Goku said gently. "He just wants to do what he likes."
Chi-Chi fell silent.
"Chi-Chi, I know you want Gohan to become a great scholar," Goku said seriously, looking at her. "But he has his own dreams. Let him choose his own path. Maybe one day, when he gets tired of training and fighting, he'll become a scholar."
"…Fine." Chi-Chi sighed helplessly. "Since you put it that way, I'll let him decide."
Then she looked at Goku's torn clothes with concern.
"Goku, you must've gone through a fierce battle, didn't you? Your clothes are all shredded."
"It's nothing. It wasn't that intense," Goku scratched his head and laughed.
At the same time, he couldn't help thinking:
Frieza probably won't go to Namek anymore, right?
I beat him up so badly.
Namek should be safe now.
…
Time passed day by day.
About eighteen days later—
Cooler's Planet No. 1.
Frieza stepped off his spaceship with a smile and entered Cooler's fortress with Zarbon and Dodoria.
"Frieza," Cooler asked bluntly, "how are the tasks Lord Beerus gave you coming along? Have all the designated planets been destroyed?"
"Tch, that's none of your business," Frieza snorted. "Is that why you called me here? You could've just contacted me."
"Face-to-face talks make people take things more seriously," Cooler replied lightly.
Frieza: "..."
His face darkened.
I remember… you said the same thing in my previous life.
"You should worry about yourself. I know what I'm doing," Frieza said coldly, then turned to leave.
In his previous life, this would've made him furious.
It was clearly something that could be handled over a call, yet Cooler insisted on making him travel here.
And back then, because he spoke too loudly, Cooler had grabbed him and beaten him severely.
But this time…
Things were different.
"Stop right there, Frieza!" Cooler shouted sternly.
Frieza's lips curved upward into a faint smile.
He slowly turned around, looking at Cooler with narrowed eyes.
That's exactly what I was waiting for.
"Cooler, you're being too loud," Frieza said coldly. "You're annoying me."
Cooler: "????"
Cooler froze.
He stared deeply at Frieza, unable to understand what was going on.
As Frieza's older brother, Cooler had always bullied him whenever he felt like it, claiming it was "training his will."
After all, his strength far surpassed Frieza's.
Cooler's battle power was 470 million.
Frieza's was only 120 million.
For years, Frieza had grown under Cooler's harsh "discipline."
Of course, Frieza hated interacting with him.
He couldn't beat him and always got bullied.
He never dared to speak loudly in front of Cooler.
Yet today…
Frieza was acting strangely bold.
"Frieza… you dare glare at me?" Cooler laughed in disbelief.
His hands were itching.
He'd been wanting to beat Frieza up anyway.
And now, Frieza was giving him the perfect excuse.
"Ho ho ho ho! Cooler, do you really think you can still boss me around?" Frieza rubbed his nose, smiling brightly.
Zarbon, Dodoria, and several members of Cooler's Armored Squadron exchanged glances.
Without a word, they quietly left the room, giving the brothers space.
The door closed.
Only Cooler and Frieza remained.
"Frieza, you've really forgotten your pain once the wound healed!" Cooler laughed loudly. "Looks like you're asking for another lesson!"
"Pa!"
Frieza sneered and suddenly reached out.
In an instant, his hand clamped around Cooler's throat.
The speed was so terrifying that Cooler didn't even have time to react.
"Bang!"
Frieza lifted him by the neck and slammed him brutally into the ground.
The entire fortress shook violently, nearly collapsing.
Fortunately, Frieza controlled his strength.
Even so, the metal structure twisted and warped, teetering on the verge of collapse.
