_______________

"To actually have such a powerful A-Rank Jutsu as a trump card..." The Hyuga Jōnin gritted his teeth, his apprehension growing with every passing second. The more he fought these two children, the more terrified he became. How could such monstrous prodigies exist in this world? And two of them appearing at the same time?

The two roaring fire dragons arrived in the blink of an eye. The Hyuga Jōnin leaped to dodge one, while simultaneously condensing all his remaining Chakra into his blade. "Vacuum Slash: Moon Sever!"

Unleashing another A-Rank Jutsu, a crescent-shaped blade of pure Chakra wind cleaved through the air, slicing the second fire dragon cleanly in half.

Thud!

Madara collapsed onto the roof, completely motionless. Blood seeped from his wounds, dyeing the tiles beneath him a deep crimson. He was thoroughly spent, unable to move a muscle.

Fire Style: Dragon Flame Release Song was his ultimate trump card—a forbidden technique he had secretly learned after sneaking into the restricted section of the Uchiha clan archives.

This Jutsu was considered top-tier even within the Uchiha clan, renowned for their Fire Style mastery. It allowed the user to manipulate multiple dragon-shaped flames based on their Chakra control, with each dragon packing the punch of an A-Rank Jutsu. With Madara's current strength, he could summon a maximum of three dragons, effectively tripling the destructive power of a standard A-Rank technique.

Naturally, such devastating power came with a massive Chakra cost. Even with reserves far surpassing his peers, Madara could only cast it three times at full capacity. After fighting a Jōnin for over ten minutes and suffering heavy injuries, this final attack had completely drained every last drop of Chakra from his body.

"Xuan... the rest is up to you," Madara murmured weakly. He was so exhausted that even turning his head was a struggle, leaving him blind to the ongoing clash between Xuan and the Jōnin.

The instant the Hyuga Jōnin shattered the fire dragon, Xuan suddenly materialized. His blood-red eyes locked directly onto his opponent's gaze, the eerie three tomoe slowly rotating.

"Not good...!"

Having faced Uchiha ninjas countless times on the battlefield, the Jōnin instantly recognized the intent to cast a Genjutsu the moment he saw the Sharingan. Without a second thought, he reversed his longsword and drove the tip straight into his own abdomen.

A violent shudder racked his body. For a split second, he felt as if he had been transported to another world. But before the illusion could fully form, the piercing pain from his self-inflicted wound jolted his senses. He frantically churned his Chakra, disrupting his internal flow. With a sensation like shattering glass, he broke free and snapped back to reality.

The moment he regained clarity, he saw Uchiha Xuan lunging at him, a violently spinning sphere of hyper-condensed Chakra thrusting toward his heart.

"What is that Jutsu?!"

Yet another technique he had never seen before. But the Jōnin dared not underestimate it; he could feel the terrifying destructive power contained within that swirling ball. In his current state, taking a direct hit would mean instant death.

Desperate, he punched Xuan's arm, knocking the strike slightly off course while twisting his body to the side. He barely avoided the fatal blow. Not stopping there, he managed to land a vicious kick to Xuan's ribs. However, in exchange, Xuan used his free hand to slap a Paper Bomb directly onto the Jōnin's chest.

Both fighters tumbled away, crashing onto the roof with two heavy thuds.

The instant he hit the tiles, the Hyuga Jōnin ripped off his outer jacket and hurled it away.

BOOM! The attached Paper Bomb detonated mid-air, blasting the garment into shreds.

Gasping for air, a wave of lingering fear washed over him. Thank god for his extensive experience against Genjutsu. By using pain to anchor his consciousness and disrupting his Chakra flow, he had managed to wake up at the critical moment. If he had been trapped for even one second longer, he would be dead.

Right now, his internal Chakra flow was chaotic, making it impossible to use Ninjutsu. But relying solely on Taijutsu, he was still confident in his victory. He just had to watch out for that strange, spinning ball technique.

"The Rasengan has been exposed."

Xuan clutched his side, grimacing in agonizing pain. At least two ribs were broken. This was the most severe injury he had sustained since transmigrating into this world.

After purchasing the Rasengan, he had held back from using it, waiting for that one perfect opportunity for a one-hit kill. The Rasengan had many strengths, but its biggest weakness was that it was strictly a melee skill. Against an opponent faster than himself, it was far too easy to dodge.

And unfortunately, this Hyuga Jōnin specialized in speed and Taijutsu. Without a guaranteed opening, Xuan had zero confidence in landing the hit.

The three tomoe in his eyes slowly faded, his pupils returning to their natural color. After forcing the Fox Beheading Jutsu earlier, his Sharingan had reached its limit and overheated—a direct result of his dwindling Chakra reserves.

Without the Sharingan, he couldn't keep up with his opponent's speed. Now that the Rasengan had been exposed, the enemy was undoubtedly on guard. Xuan silently checked his remaining energy; after such a prolonged battle, he was nearly empty. He had just enough for one last Rasengan and a single Fireball Jutsu. By any measure, he was backed into a corner.

Despite the dire situation, Xuan forced his trembling body to stand. He drew two more kunai and dropped into a defensive stance.

If he stayed down, there was zero chance of survival. If he kept fighting, a miracle might still happen. Resigning himself to fate was simply not in Uchiha Xuan's nature.

The Hyuga Jōnin yanked the blade from his own abdomen and coughed up a thick spray of blood. Looking at the battered boy standing defiantly before him, a flash of admiration flickered in his eyes. He couldn't help but sigh; if only such a genius had been born into his own clan.

Regardless, these two children had to die today. If they were allowed to live, the consequences for the Hyuga would be catastrophic.

The Jōnin's gaze hardened. He raised his longsword and charged. With his Chakra still in disarray, he was forced to rely entirely on Taijutsu.

Clang!

The Jōnin and Xuan blurred past each other. A fresh gash appeared on Xuan's left arm, the crimson blood soaking into his sleeve.

The Jōnin spun around immediately, his blade leaving afterimages as he launched a relentless, high-speed assault.

Xuan parried desperately, finally understanding exactly what Madara had felt earlier. Countless new wounds opened across his body. His muscles were screaming, on the verge of total collapse, and his vision was growing hazy. He knew he was losing too much blood.

At this rate, I'm dead for sure. I have enough Chakra for one Rasengan. If I hit him, it's a guaranteed kill, but with his speed, how can I possibly land it?

Xuan's mind raced through every possible tactic. Finally, he gritted his teeth. I'll bet everything on this! Sharingan, open!

He funneled the last of his Chakra to stimulate his eyes. Through a surge of searing pain, the Sharingan flared back to life. With its power, he could once again track the trajectory of the Jōnin's blade with crystalline clarity.

At that moment, the Jōnin was moving at high velocity, thrusting his sword straight toward Xuan's heart.

Now! It'll work... it has to work! The three tomoe spun wildly as he locked onto the incoming blade. Instead of retreating, Xuan lunged forward, abandoning all defense. He hurled a kunai directly at the Jōnin's throat—a suicidal trade-off.

"You're asking for death..." The Jōnin's eyes lit up with joy. He didn't understand why the normally clever brat had suddenly turned brain-dead; a kunai at that speed couldn't possibly touch him.

Puchi!

The longsword sank into Xuan's chest without resistance. The Jōnin began to smirk, tilting his head slightly to dodge the flying kunai. It was finally over. This had been more exhausting than fighting a fellow Jōnin, he thought with a sense of relief.

"Got you!"

The sudden voice made the Jōnin's heart skip a beat. As he tried to pull back, he realized with horror that he was suddenly surrounded by a web of Chakra wires that snapped shut, binding him in place.

It was the kunai from just now! He realized it instantly, but it was too late.

In Xuan's other hand, that sphere of hyper-condensed Chakra materialized once more. He slammed it directly into the Jōnin's chest.

A massive shockwave ripped through the man's torso. The Jōnin sprayed blood mixed with bits of internal organs. He could feel it clearly—his heart had been pulverized.

Ding! [Killed a Hyuga Clan Jōnin. Reward: 5,000 Points.]

Ding! [Quest "Support Madara and kill the Hyuga squad leader" completed. Reward: 5,000 Points.]

As the System's voice echoed in his mind, Xuan let out a long, shuddering breath. Exhaustion and agony flooded his senses all at once. At the final second, relying on the vision of his Sharingan, he had shifted his body just enough to let the sword miss his heart.

His eyes slipped shut, and he collapsed into unconsciousness.
