Unfazed, Kizaru began to materialize the "Ama no Murakumo".
In that exact instant, Grimm closed the distance and brought Ashbringer crashing down, forcing Kizaru's light blade into a desperate block.
Kizaru's signature fedora was sliced cleanly in half and went flying off into the freezing wind.
"How terrifying… a second slower and my head would have rolled right off…" Kizaru's expression was much more serious now, yet his tone remained infuriatingly lazy and unserious.
"Kizaru, you are a Marine, aren't you? Planning to show me anything resembling your true strength?"
Grimm pressed the attack, knocking Kizaru's light sword aside. He brought his greatsword down hard, then took a step back and switched his weapon to Truth's Guardian.
BAM!
He hurled the heavy shield straight forward.
Even though it was clearly just a shield flying at him, Kizaru instinctively raised his sword to deflect it — only to be overwhelmed by the sheer, crushing weight and force behind the throw.
CRASH!
Kizaru was slammed violently into the ground. As the dust settled, he emerged slowly with both hands still buried deep in his pockets, completely unharmed.
"This really… is becoming quite the nuisance…"
"I told you, this mission is different from the usual! We can't hold back anymore!"
Kuzan leaped high into the air, swinging both arms outward as massive pillars of ice erupted from the ground.
"Ice Age!"
"Rare to see you so fired up, Kuzan~"
Kizaru transformed into a flash of golden light. Together, they formed an inverted triangle formation — Kizaru and Kuzan above, Grimm standing firm below.
Seeing Kuzan unleash his ultimate technique, Kizaru called out, "Fine then! I suppose I should use mine too!"
"Yata no Kagami!"
The power unleashed by the two Admirals was devastating.
In fact, the shockwaves were so intense that everyone present — save for Garp and a few elite Vice Admirals — was left dizzy and disoriented.
Strawberry, who always kept his eyes narrowed to slits, suddenly opened them wide, his gaze sharp and piercing.
"He isn't even scratched!"
Though known for his squinting eyes, his vision was incredibly keen.
In that split second, he clearly saw Grimm holding a massive shield, swinging it with blinding speed to deflect and block every single attack thrown at him.
SWISH!
Strawberry drew the twin katana at his waist, took aim, and unleashed a flurry of razor‑sharp air slashes directly at Grimm.
"In the name of Marine Justice, we absolutely cannot let that man leave this island alive!"
He watched as the final slash struck Grimm squarely in the chest, cutting him cleanly in half.
But as the smoke and debris slowly cleared, Grimm's voice rang out — laced with pure mockery and amusement.
"I'm truly flattered… you guys really brought out your best moves right from the start, didn't you?"
WHOOSH!
Suddenly, the gloomy, snow‑filled sky seemed to respond to his will. The dark clouds scattered instantly, revealing bright, clear skies.
Rising from where the clouds had been was a blazing sun.
Yet everyone could feel instinctively — this was not the natural sun hanging in the heavens above.
This was a sun created by Grimm himself.
Garp had seen this power before at the Sabaody Archipelago.
Back then, it had turned pitch black and unleashed terrifying force.
But this golden sun… even now, Garp still had no idea what it was capable of.
"Strange ability… doesn't fear seawater, yet possesses such unique skills…" Garp muttered to himself, sounding as confused as an old man losing his memory.
"I really should have agreed with little Tsuru… we needed to understand his powers before engaging. The Government… they were just too impatient."
High above, the golden sun shone brilliantly. Grimm hovered in the air, continuously hurling Holy Light Spears down into the crowd, aiming to harvest lives.
Two of those spears came flying straight toward Garp.
"Vice Admiral Garp! Look out! Incoming!" a soldier shouted, seeing the attack approach.
HAH…
Garp inhaled deeply, then suddenly slammed his fist down onto the ground.
Instantly, the entire area shook as if struck by an earthquake.
The spears Grimm had launched shattered into harmless light mid‑air.
Ignoring Garp for the moment, Grimm spread his wings and dove straight toward the largest concentration of soldiers.
"First things first… I'll figure out exactly what this boy can do!" Garp said.
Sensing the immense pressure radiating from the sky, Grimm looked down mid‑dive and smiled.
"Oh? Is the Hero of the Marines finally stepping in personally?"
HAH…
Garp exhaled slowly. His fist wasn't covered in Armament Haki, yet it radiated a terrifying aura capable of shattering mountains and splitting rivers.
To everyone watching, it looked as though Garp had simply punched the ground.
But in that split second, everything around them seemed to freeze. The wheels of time themselves appeared to grind to a halt.
CRACK… CRACKLE… RUMBLE…
When reality returned, people realized spiderweb‑like fractures had spread all the way to their feet.
The earth beneath them trembled violently, roaring like thunder. The sheer destructive force was far greater than the combined attacks of Kizaru and Aokiji earlier.
"Mr. Garp! We're on the same side, remember?!" a soldier yelled in protest after being pulled back from falling into a massive chasm opened up by the impact.
"Oops… sorry!" Garp blinked innocently.
Suddenly, his arm shot forward and grabbed Grimm's wrist — just as Grimm had teleported right in front of him, preparing to swing Ashbringer down onto Garp's head.
"As expected of the strongest man alive. My speed is already enhanced twice over, yet…"
Grimm's right wrist was gripped so tightly by Garp's hand that he couldn't move it even an inch. The tip of his greatsword hovered just above Garp's forehead, completely halted.
"…Still… just… a little… too slow!" Garp's grip was tighter than any handcuff, even those made of Seastone. It acted like unbreakable manacles — not even Grimm could break free.
This was the first time Grimm had fought Garp in earnest, and he finally understood why Kaido acted like a respectful grandson whenever he saw Garp.
This man's strength… it's monstrous… absurdly overpowered…
"Sorry lad… but you're coming along with me," Garp said — though it wasn't really a question. His grip tightened even further.
"Like hell I am!"
Grimm's reply caught Garp off guard. With a sudden, violent twist of his body, Grimm ripped his own arm completely off. Blood sprayed everywhere, soaking Garp's white coat crimson.
With his left hand, Grimm instantly switched to his shield Truth's Guardian and smashed it directly into Garp's face.
THWACK!
Even Vice Admiral Strawberry couldn't help but cry out in alarm upon seeing the shield slam straight into Garp's nose and mouth.
"Mr. Garp!"
Garp's head snapped backward, his mouth wide open — and he bit down hard onto the edge of the shield.
With a fierce jerk of his neck, he flung the shield right back at Grimm.
Grimm caught it effortlessly. Under the rapid healing power of the Holy Light, his severed arm regrew almost instantly.
Without pausing, he kicked out fiercely, landing a solid blow right in Garp's stomach.
Garp's massive frame was forced backward, his feet digging deep furrows into the ground as he slid nearly fifty meters before coming to a halt.
Right in the center of his pristine white suit, a distinct black footprint was now clearly visible.
