Chapter 226 - OPHK: Chapter 226

"There he is… if we take him out, these 'puppets' should stop moving, right?" Kong speculated.

"Just a guess," Garp mumbled from behind. "Like I said, he might be commanding them… or he might just be sitting back and watching the show."

"You two really should have analyzed his abilities clearly before rushing into action!" Kong suddenly remembered what Tsuru had told him before they set sail. No matter how much he regretted it now, it was too late to change what had happened.

"This is my responsibility!"

Kong charged forward alone, dodging countless attacks from the angels as he headed straight for Grimm.

Grimm simply tossed his beer mug aside, raised his shield, and met Kong's fist head‑on.

The impact generated such immense force that the wind blast whipped the capes on their backs violently.

"Oh? Is even Fleet Admiral Kong stepping onto the field personally this time?" Grimm asked with a smile.

"In the name of Absolute Justice, you are under arrest, Grimm!"

Kong's expression was deadly serious. Suddenly, he spun his body around and launched a roundhouse kick.

CLANG!

Shield met leg, and Grimm was forced backward several meters. Kong prepared to press his advantage, but before he could blink, countless golden spears rained down toward him.

In that same instant, Grimm had already switched weapons — drawing both Ashbringer and the Hammer of the Lightbringer.

"Finger Pistol: Bone Needle!"

Seeing Ashbringer slash toward him, Kong defended himself using one of the Six Powers.

Meanwhile, Grimm swung the hammer in his other hand so fast it left an afterimage, striking Kong squarely in the left side of the face.

He didn't manage to send the Fleet Admiral flying, but he did draw blood from the corner of Kong's mouth.

Grimm took the opportunity to leap backward dozens of meters. When Kong tried to pursue, the vast army of angels moved in unison to block the path between them.

"This… this is…"

Only now did Kong truly see the sheer scale of it all — countless angels beating their wings of golden light, numbering in the tens of thousands.

Kong's mind raced back to a Devil Fruit Encyclopedia he had looked through some time ago.

He recalled a Mythical Zoan type fruit whose user could transform into an angelic being exactly like this.

But… was Grimm truly a Devil Fruit user?

The intelligence we have is simply insufficient!

Kong gritted his teeth. This is my mistake… I should have listened to Tsuru and investigated this thoroughly before acting.

But in recent years, the World Government had been desperate to get their hands on Grimm's head.

The pressure had been immense, and his own overconfidence had led Kong to make the wrong call.

Tap…

Just then, a figure stepped up to Kong's left. It was Garp.

He adjusted his tie casually. "Ah… save the self‑reflection for later. Right now, our priority is dealing with this kid in front of us."

Kong glanced sideways at him. "You've made more than your share of mistakes too, Garp… we'll settle your account later."

"Heh!"

Grimm laughed calmly. With a wave of his hand, the angelic legions surged forward. The two strongest men in the Marines — Garp and Kong — prepared to fight side by side.

The land was split asunder, the skies roared with thunder, and the golden sun hung over the entire island of Trabia.

Kuzan and Kizaru were breathing heavily, exhausted. Tyrael wasn't doing much better.

Though his expression was hidden and his armor made him look untouched, he had clearly expended a massive amount of energy.

"It's no good… it's no good…" Kizaru struggled to stand, shivering slightly as he recalled the terrifying speed of Tyrael's wings.

"I honestly can't figure out where his weakness lies!"

Kuzan supported himself with one hand on the ground. "Tch… guys who wrap themselves entirely in armor are such a pain…"

"Then… how about I lend you two Vice Admirals a hand?"

Issho suddenly appeared beside them.

Kuzan glanced back at him. "Issho… didn't you say you weren't good at dealing with speed‑type opponents?"

Tyrael was the absolute pinnacle of speed types. It wasn't just that he was fast — he could teleport instantly.

He was practically a perfect counter to Issho and his gravity manipulation.

"I have an idea… please hear me out," Issho said, stepping between Kuzan and Kizaru and whispering something quietly into their ears.

A few seconds later, he finished explaining his plan.

Kizaru put his hands in his pockets. "Well… that certainly sounds dangerous… but it seems it's the only way to deal with a monster like this."

"From what I have observed," Issho continued, "he is a fighter who relies entirely on direct combat. These angels Grimm summons possess very little intelligence. They simply focus their attacks on whoever is fighting them — they function on a basic aggro system."

And it was true. These angels were directly controlled by Grimm.

Without his orders, they behaved exactly like creatures from a raid dungeon — purely driven by aggression and targeting.

Issho's mouth curled into a faint smile. "So… let's make good use of that."

"Alright… let's go!"

Kuzan rushed forward first, palm open, releasing freezing energy. "Ice Time Capsule!"

Just as the ice was about half a meter from Tyrael, the angel reappeared roughly three hundred meters behind them. He swung his greatsword, unleashing a wave of silver light.

"I'm counting on you, Vice Admiral Kizaru!" Issho called out gravely.

Kizaru dashed forward, using the power of the Glint‑Glint Fruit to materialize the Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven.

He threw it like a massive shuriken right into the path of the silver wave, blocking it for precious seconds.

"Now!"

Issho suddenly unleashed his full power. A purple, cube‑shaped gravity field formed around Tyrael, crushing down on him with immense weight.

Tyrael shifted his gaze and vanished again. Seeing this, Issho sheathed his cane‑sword and muttered, "This teleportation ability really is my bane…"

The words had barely left his mouth when Tyrael appeared directly behind him, the tip of his blade pressed against Issho's neck. One inch further and it would have taken his head.

"I knew you would come for me…" Issho said calmly. He couldn't block in time, but it didn't matter — he wasn't alone.

Kuzan suddenly charged in from the right, forming an ice blade aimed straight at the back of Tyrael's head. But Tyrael spun around instantly, kicking Kuzan's weapon away.

Then, with a sweeping motion of both legs, he struck Kuzan in the back and Issho in the arm simultaneously!

The two future Admirals were sent flying backward.

It should have been a shocking sight, but every Marine was fully engaged in their own battles. No one could spare attention, and so no one noticed the disturbance here.

Instead of retreating after the hit, Kuzan expanded the ice beneath their feet, freezing the ground — and trapping both Issho and Tyrael within it.

Tyrael tried to use "Power of the Holy Sword" to teleport away, but found himself restrained and unable to move!

"Even instant teleportation requires that you can move, doesn't it?" Issho said.

He released his full strength, drawing his blade. Purple energy exploded outward. He gripped the sword in reverse and swung it with all his might.

"Gravity Blade: Tiger Fierce!!"
