Chapter 249 - OPHK: Chapter 249

In the past two years, the "artificial human technology" researched by the Vinsmoke Family had achieved astonishing results, even though the technology itself was far from fully mature.

After the war ended, Vinsmoke Judge — head of the Vinsmoke Family and ruler of the Kingdom of Germa 66 — declared with absolute confidence that once this project was completed, he would be able to conquer any kingdom in the North Blue within five hours.

Judge possessed a massive build comparable to that of Doflamingo. He wore a long, pitch‑black coat marked with the number "6" at both bottom corners, which together formed "66". His long, curly hair nearly covered the cape draped over his shoulders.

Right now, he stood with one foot pressing down heavily upon the King of Mondra, who lay curled up like an insect on the ground. Opposite him, several men wearing small sunglasses were clicking away with cameras, capturing the moment.

Standing behind Judge were five children — around seven or eight years old: four boys and one girl. They looked strikingly similar; if their hair were shaved off, they would be identical.

These were the five Vinsmoke siblings: the eldest daughter Reiju, followed by the first son Ichiji, the second son Niji, the fourth son Yonji, and the third son, Sanji.

Among them, Sanji stood out completely. While the others wore neat, short‑sleeved shirts and trousers, he was bundled up in a thick, heavy cotton coat.

Sanji's clothing would have been considered normal for any ordinary person, given the freezing winter weather.

Yet it was precisely this difference that made him the least favored and most looked‑down‑upon of the five siblings.

Once the photos were taken, Judge kicked the King of Mondra aside like a football and asked, "Where is our next target?"

"Reporting to you — the Kingdom of Minas. It is the closest nation. Traveling at full speed, we can reach it in less than a week," a subordinate in a white lab coat quickly stepped forward to answer.

Judge grunted in acknowledgment. He turned his head and caught sight of Sanji in his heavy coat. A flash of disdain crossed his eyes. He addressed all five children: "My children — this was your first real battle in war. Tell your father what you have achieved."

In the Vinsmoke Family, there was no respect for age or seniority — only strength mattered. Because of this rule, Sanji was constantly bullied and mistreated by his brothers and sister.

At Judge's question, the other four immediately began speaking over one another, eager to report.

"Father, I took down seventeen enemies!" Niji called out.

"I — I defeated twenty! I got more than him!" Ichiji, the eldest son, raised his hand and announced proudly.

"I only got sixteen," Yonji said with a scowl, "but if Niji hadn't gotten in my way and blocked my attacks, I would have had far more!"

"I did slightly less… only fifteen," said Reiju, the eldest daughter, speaking calmly and smiling faintly, showing little excitement.

"Very well. To achieve such results under those conditions — you have done well. Father is proud of you," Judge said with a nod and a smile.

Then his expression hardened. He turned his gaze toward Sanji, who stood silent and timid, and his eyes filled with deep disappointment. "And you, Sanji? How many did you kill?"

"I… I… um… I…" Sanji stammered, unable to say a single clear word.

"Hahaha!" Yonji laughed loudly. "This one here froze up the moment he stepped onto the battlefield — his legs turned to jelly! If I hadn't kept an eye on him, he would have died long ago!"

As he spoke, Yonji kicked Sanji hard behind the knees, sending him crashing to the ground.

"How can we have such a useless waste in our family — born the very same day as us?!" Niji sneered, stepping forward and punching Sanji while he lay there.

Soon, the three brothers were kicking and punching Sanji mercilessly — a scene that played out almost every day. Reiju watched from the side, giggling, while Judge looked on with complete indifference.

"Commander, shall we proceed with the attack on Minas now?" a subordinate asked.

"What were our losses?" Judge replied, paying no attention whatsoever to Sanji being beaten nearby.

"Six hundred and eighty men in total. With our current strength, taking Minas will pose no real problem. However, we will certainly need time to rest and recover afterward," the subordinate answered.

"Of course we attack!" Judge waved his hand decisively. "Set sail at full speed — prepare to invade Minas!"

Just then —

"AAAAHHHH!!"

"STOP — PLEASE, STOP! AAAAAHH!!"

Judge had barely given the order when blood‑curdling screams erupted from not far away.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Judge frowned sharply and looked toward the noise. Through the chaos, brilliant streaks of golden light flashed repeatedly.

"Hm?"

Yonji and his brothers, who had been beating Sanji, stopped instantly. They turned toward the commotion and saw their father's army collapsing at an impossible speed, the ground quickly turning into a pool of blood.

Suddenly, a massive golden sword — fully five or six meters long — appeared. As the blade swept through the air, dozens of soldiers were cut cleanly in half, their organs and innards spilling across the earth.

"You are…" Judge narrowed his eyes. He stared at the man walking slowly toward him through the sea of blood, cutting down his men with every step.

Behind Grimm hovered a ten‑meter‑tall angel with two wings. Every swing of its great sword left nothing but severed limbs and broken bodies in its wake.

"Ugh…"

Reiju — the only girl among the siblings — quickly clamped her hands over her mouth to hold back the urge to vomit at the sight.

"C‑could that person be…?"

A short researcher with thick lips standing beside Judge trembled violently. After a long pause, he spoke in a shaky, broken voice. "W‑why… why is a Four Emperor here?!"

"Grimm… isn't he supposed to be the most ruthless one of them all…?"

"I heard he was born in the North Blue. Do you think he came to save his homeland?"

"That makes no sense at all! This is the man who slaughtered the entire royal families of twelve nations! Why would he save his home? And besides… we only kill royalty too."

Soldiers of Germa 66 whispered nervously among themselves.

Meanwhile, Grimm had walked to within about five meters of Judge. He waved his hand, and the golden angel vanished into thin air.

"So… which one of you is the head of the Vinsmoke Family? I am here to bless him in the name of the Holy Light."

Grimm smiled as he looked around, deliberately pretending not to see Judge standing right in front of him. "You all look almost exactly the same — how am I supposed to tell who's who?"

It was true: every soldier in the Germa 66 army shared nearly identical features and wore identical uniforms. Finding someone special among them was indeed difficult.

"I am the head!" Judge answered in a deep, heavy voice.

He had recognized the man immediately. This was the one known in history as "The Most Brutal Demon — who speaks only of justice and virtue yet kills men as easily as one cuts grass."

"You are truly ugly… May the Holy Light bless you."

Grimm looked Judge up and down, and after a long silence, those were the only words that came out.
