Chapter 10 - Gift System of Generosity (8)

On Duskrice 1, 1850 AC (Arbiter Calendar), Alistair woke up late in the afternoon after a restless night filled with dreams focused on training and sleeping. He speculated that this might be due to his ability to perform Dream Training.

Alistair went downstairs and stepped outside, where he settled on a wooden bench beneath a tree next to his house. He looked up at the sky, feeling the warm breeze on his face as the sun began to set. "System, I am wide awake. I am ready to receive the gifts personally chosen by you." The system responded with a big thumbs-up on the screen. "Get ready!"

"Your first gift that I have personally selected is a supply depot," the system announced. "This structure will randomly provide you with basic items useful in battle and for your village's supplies. To prevent misuse, only you, your family, and trusted selected members can receive the supplies. Your goal is to increase your village's manpower and strength, aiming for greater achievements such as expanding your territory to accommodate more residents and build additional facilities.

Take this small cube and place it in your desired location to deploy the supply depot. Every 24 hours, supplies will be transported by an aura user with the ability known as Aura Flight."

"The second gift is not for you; it's intended for your two older sisters and your mother. Here is a learning book titled 'Aura Conversion.' This ability temporarily converts their aura energy, enhancing their physical capabilities. The reason this gift is for your family is because using the Aura Conversion ability requires a significant amount of aura energy, taking away about 3 to 5 hours of their aura energy for activation. Please make sure to give them this book and encourage them to read it so they can learn the ability. It is recommended only for those in the Aura Transformation Realm and Aura Empowerment Realm.

"The third gift is an incomplete martial arts technique, which has Part 2 and Part 3 that you will receive in the near future. It is called 'Imperial Aura Sword Arts' and comes from a fallen empire in the history of the Freedom Continent. This technique was designed to train ordinary soldiers by combining sword techniques with aura arts to enhance their power. Although there are many drawbacks to this technique, the generous system has removed those drawbacks for you, allowing you to use it. Since this technique only works with swords, you must give up the gauntlet you received and instead gift it to your older sister, Lyra."

"Won't this be a problem, system? They will be suspicious about where I got these items from all of a sudden. Wait, you're not considering sending Lady Celestra here, are you?" The system paused for a moment before responding, "Not necessary. Instead, I will surprise you tomorrow. I will arrange for a group of traveling merchants to visit your Leaf Village. It will be a great opportunity for the Leaf Village to purchase items from various locations." Alistair felt relieved; this method was much better than the previous one, which involved bringing someone of high status and power to the Leaf Village. "Now, Alistair, take a break today and prepare to receive the next random gifts tomorrow."

On Duskrice 2, 1850 AC (Arbiter Calendar), Alistair was suddenly awakened by his older sister, Lyra. "Alistair, get up! A caravan has arrived in the village. Prepare now, and let's check it out!" Still half asleep, Alistair began to get ready. Their mother, Astrid, handed him 10 Silver Talers and said, "Alistair, dear, choose wisely when selecting your items."

The family left their house, walking down the hill toward the village where the caravan was stationed. Alistair expected to see a huge crowd of residents from Leaf Village buying various items, including weapons, clothing, books, and more. Even the Village Chieftess was amazed by the jewelry displayed in the shops.

Once they arrived, the family separated to buy their own things. A system guide directed Alistair to the items he could purchase, and he entered one of the shops. "Good morning, customer! Choose whatever you like; the prices are on the tags. Just leave the payment on this table," the lazy merchant said, uninterested in what his customers might select, as long as they pay.

Alistair picked up a Supply Depot cube, which cost 50 Bronze Scales, a Learning Book that had a hidden mechanism for learning Aura Conversion, priced at 1 Silver Taler, and a Dusty Old Learning Book that revealed the Imperial Aura Sword Arts, costing only 50 Bronze Talers.

"Here you go, mister. That will be 2 Silver Talers," Alistair said as he handed the merchant his payment. The merchant took the coins, and Alistair left the shop.

As noon has reached the family gathered at the small food house to eat lunch as they shared there items, since Ismeria and Lyra uses their own funds from the hunting missions, they bought new lovely clothes, weapons, potions, and even some learning books so that they could use it for future battles, Astrid bought clothes, cooking utensils, learning books, and jewelry that she loves, Ismeria asked Alistair what did he bought, "I bought this small cube and two learning books." The family was looking at Alistair with worried look, "Alistair, are you sure you didn't buy them randomly? You could buy items that you like." Alistair shakes his head and told them it was enough and gave back the remaining 8 Silver Talers to his mother. "Don't worry, Big Sis Ismeria, Bis Sis Lyra, and mother. How about we all check what learning book did I buy, maybe you might find it interesting." The family laughs happily and accepted warmly as they all went back home and look at Alistair's learning book.

As Alistair was outside, Ismeria was reading a learning book. She noticed that the pages, though a bit worn out, contained normal reading material. Suddenly, the book began to glow, blinding Lyra and Astrid, who were present with her. As the light enveloped them, the words and sentences in the book transformed.

Ismeria spoke up, "Is this the Aura Conversion ability?" She began reading the information about the ability out loud so that Lyra and Astrid could hear it. They were amazed to discover that the book contained knowledge about Aura Transformation Realm and Aura Empowerment Realm.

Excited, they brought Alistair back into the living room to question him. "Alistair, did you know about this?"

Alistair looked taken aback by the question and replied, "What do you mean? I just thought the learning book was interesting because it was a bit worn out." His reaction made it believable that he didn't know anything about the book's true capabilities.
