SELENE POV
It Burns.
Every fiber of my whole body felt like a hot furnace. My teeth ached, the inside of my body felt like it's being torn apart slowly- Like something within is being ripped apart.
I was so happy when we got to the cave where we were going to spend the night. It was so hard trying to hold the pain. I can't let us be held back because of me.
The meat smells so bad that it makes my stomach retract. The back of my body felt like something was being caved causing my body to tremble in pain. Everything felt blurry, my heartbeat thundering but I felt like I could hear not only mine. And why do I feel so thirsty?
Thud
"Selene!!" Katherine screamed, the meat in her hands falling to the ground. " Selene, can you hear me?" said Katherine, embracing me.
"Her body is hot, we have to take off her clothes" Eve said, concern clear in her voice.
Crack
"Ahh" I screamed, my body arched forward violently. My bones are breaking! Yes they are.
"Hold her down," Eve yelled , holding my hands up to my head.
"What is wrong with her " Katherine asked, her hands that are holding my legs are trembling but still holding me tightly.
"Ahhh" I kept screaming, thrashing around like a madwoman. Everything burns.
Eve held my hand tightly, staring down at my thrashing body. Worry was evident in her eyes. "Katherine don't let go"
"Selene"
Everything went dark.

KATHERINE POV
" Selene" I cried out , touching her cheeks, wiping away the tears on them . "What is happening to you"
"Turn her back," Eve said suddenly, turning her back.
It's was glowing
" The tattoo is glowing," I said, swallowing hard.
Eve stared at Selene back, her eyes fixed firmly on it " it's not just glowing" pointing at it " The red rose thorns seemed to be growing as if its were alive"
"That's nonsense"
" We are looking at a glowing tattoo," Eve said .
The thorns weren't just glowing. They were spreading. No. They were crawling outward like veins. It felt like they were strangling the butterfly.
I looked at the tattoo again. " I hate to admit it but it's true" . The heat emitting from the tattoo, warming me up. " How is that possible".
" She might not be… who you think she is," Eve said, covering the glowing tattoo with a cloak.
I turned fully toward Eve, silence hanging between us like the residual heat from Selene's skin. "What do you mean?"
Eve avoided my gaze, her eyes fixed on the cloak covering the glowing tattoo on Selene's back. Awkward silence in the air, filled with all the things Eve wasn't saying.
"I don't know," Eve finally said, her voice barely above a whisper. The word sounded foreign in her mouth. "That's the first time seeing that kind of tattoo before."
We both stayed silent. Each lost in our thoughts. The glowing tattoo is still visible even with the cloak.
" You have never seen anyone going through this kind of thing before" I said, my voice barely audible, wiping away the sweat on Selene's forehead.
"When elves come of age, our body changes and our mystic power manifests" Eve said quietly " But she is not an elf, however her symptoms look like someone that's going through manifestation".
Eve's words hung between us, sharper than any knife. I stared into the space, my mind trying and failing to fit this new information.
" She is a human! And we're not even from here!!"
"But her mother brought you both here." Eve's eyes held a strange emotion now. "With a spell. Which means either your friend isn't entirely human... or she wasn't from the start."
" She is human! Selene Aelyn is human"
" What did you just call her?" Eve asked, as she suddenly shot up on her feet.
Startling me.
"Selene"
" Not that"
'"Selene. Selene Aelyn . That's her full name"I said, looking at Eve in confusion. " Is everything ok"
" Yes, everything is fine" Eve said, sinking down to the ground, her back leaning on the cold cave wall. " It must have been a coincidence. That they have the same surname". Eve sighed. "They're not from here after all".
I glanced at Eve, not understanding what she was saying while embracing the hot body of Selene. Warmth flowing through my arms to my whole body. Selene was like a human heater right now." She is going to be ok, right?
Eve stared blankly " We will find out tomorrow morning".

SELENE POV
'Ugh' my head is throbbing so much, my teeth ached. I slowly opened my eyes to a complete darkness. I couldn't see anything, it was pitch black. " Katherine! Eve!"
I stood up, taking one step at a time carefully.
"Hehehe"
My body stiffened, I slowly turned back. I saw a little girl running through the forest laughing. Why does she look like me? What's that around her? Blue bright lights were flying around her. I held my head as my head feels like it's being slammed by a hammer.
" Selene"
" Yes , mom"
That's mom!. So the girl is definitely me. The flying blue thing disappeared. Why don't I remember any of this?
" I never thought, I will meet you in my life time"
My two eyes opened wide. There's a beautiful woman with long black hair, her ocean blue eyes staring right at me. She is very beautiful. Wait a minute, when did she get here.
" Thank you for the compliment," She said, smiling.
My heart skipped a beat .
" I didn't say anything"
" But you did, you said I'm beautiful"
" I said that in my mind" I said, staring at those blue eyes with doubt. " You can hear what I said in my mind"
" Yes. Right now I can"
" What do you mean right now, you can?
" When you are truly yourself , then I can't anymore"
" What do you mean? And where am I"
" We're in your dream. Sorry for intruding. But this was the only way for me to see you"
" Then was the girl I saw earlier me?" I said pointing towards the little girl.
" Oh yes, that was your memory"
" What memory. I never had a memory like that. And very importantly who are you"
" Why don't you find out yourself, Selene"
"What's happening? Why are you fading away" I ran towards her " No, you can't leave yet."
" We have all been waiting for you for a very long time".
She is truly gone.
That was rude.
"How can she intrude in someone else's dream and leave like that?"
My voice echoed through the darkness.

SELENE POV
"Eve, Selene is about to wake up" Katherine shouted, happiness blooming in her voice.
The first thing I saw immediately when I opened my eyes were two faces. Their hot breath on my face. And God does it stink. Well I'm sure mine does stink as well. Since we haven't bathed or brushed our teeth in days.
Katherine helped me up, worry in her eyes. " Are you ok?"
My eyes darted between four eyes on me. " Yes I'm ok"
Slap
" Owie!! What was that for" I said, rubbing my shoulder. Katherine doesn't know how painful her beatings are.
"Are you serious? You fainted again in front of me. And what's worse I don't know what is…. happening to you…your body was hot…your tattoo was glowing…you were in …so much pain…and…I…I couldn't do anything! Katherine said between sobs, her shoulder slouched and shaking.
" I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" I said with a bit of guilt. Hugging her close.
I felt a cold hand on my forehead. Eve's hand was checking my temperature. Was i surprised?Yes, very much so. " Are you worried about me?" I asked , looking at those emerald eyes.
Eve looked away, picking up her sack and bow. " I can't have my companion dying, can I"
She could have just said that she was worried about me.
" What are you smiling about in this situation?" Katherine said, annoyed.
" I wasn't smiling," I exclaimed.
"We better start going, we can't have you dying right here" Eve said, walking towards the cave entrance.
I fixed my robe. Ugh , I held my head. Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something?
"Selene, are you alright"
"Yes," I said. I forced a smile at Katherine but I know very well that she didn't buy it. " Let's go"
"The sunrise is really beautiful here," Katherine said, smiling.
This is the first time that I saw a smile that truly reached her eyes. I really missed that smile.
"What is Camelot like?" I asked Eve
"You will find out yourself "
My head throbbed.
Why does it feel like I have heard something similar to this?
Why don't you find out yourself, Selene.
That was exactly what the woman in my dream had said.
What does she mean.
Ahh my head hurts so much.
" Hey are you ok?" Eve said, holding my shoulder.
" I'm kicking"
" I think we should go back to the cave..We can go to Camelot when you get be.."
" No! Kathy I'm ok. And we don't even know what is going on with me and how long it will take for me to get better".
"She is right. We can't fix it without knowing what the problem is." Eve said, scanning around the forest. " And anything can happen here"
That's what I'm more scared of. We need to get out of this forest before something like that monster comes again.
"Let's go".
