The wind roared through Windfall City's open plaza.
Elior stood his ground.
He wasn't running.
Not this time.
Pyrolyn's flame burned fiercely at his side. Voltiger's electricity snapped violently in the air. Lunashade stood low, its silver eyes glowing faintly.
Across from them stood five cloaked figures.
Team Umbra.
The lead agent stepped forward.
"You've chosen defiance," he said calmly.
Elior's voice was steady.
"I've chosen my partners."
The agent raised his hand.
"Then fall with them."
Two Poké Balls opened.
A massive armored beast emerged, its claws scraping against stone.
Beside it, a shadow creature materialized, its form unstable and shifting.
"Pyrolyn, Flame Wheel!"
Pyrolyn launched forward in a spiral of fire, slamming into the armored beast.
"Voltiger, Thunder Spark!"
Voltiger became lightning itself, striking the shadow creature.
Both enemy Pokémon staggered—but did not fall.
They were strong.
Very strong.
The Umbra agent spoke coldly.
"Crush them."
The armored beast slammed the ground.
BOOM.
Shockwaves exploded outward.
Pyrolyn was thrown back.
Voltiger skidded across the plaza.
Elior clenched his fists.
"Lunashade, now!"
Lunashade vanished—
—and reappeared behind the shadow creature.
Shadow Claw struck cleanly.
The creature screeched.
The Umbra agents narrowed their eyes.
"…Resonance confirmed," one whispered.
Then—
A violent gust of wind tore through the battlefield.
Everyone froze.
The air pressure changed instantly.
Heavier.
Sharper.
Dominant.
A calm voice echoed:
"That is enough."
A tall man in a white coat stood at the edge of the plaza.
Silver hair.
Calm eyes.
Absolute presence.
The Umbra agents stiffened.
"The Windfall Gym Leader… Cael."
Cael walked forward slowly.
His eyes moved across the battlefield.
Then stopped at Team Umbra.
"You bring violence into my city," he said calmly.
The lead Umbra agent stepped forward.
"This does not concern you."
Cael's expression did not change.
"It does."
He raised a Poké Ball.
"Because you threaten the wind."
He threw it.
"Rise—Aeralis."
A massive, elegant bird Pokémon appeared in a burst of wind.
Its wings stretched wide.
The moment it appeared—
The entire plaza shook.
Wind spiraled violently around it.
The Umbra agents reacted instantly.
"Attack."
Their armored beast charged forward.
Fast.
Powerful.
Deadly.
"Aeralis," Cael said calmly.
"Gale Wing."
Aeralis moved.
It vanished from sight—
—and struck.
BOOM.
The armored beast was launched across the plaza, crashing into stone.
The Umbra agents' eyes widened.
Impossible speed.
The shadow creature attacked next, releasing waves of dark energy.
"Aeralis. Cyclone."
Aeralis flapped its wings once.
Just once.
A massive tornado formed instantly, swallowing the attack and throwing the shadow creature into the air before slamming it down.
Silence fell.
Both Umbra Pokémon were defeated.
In seconds.
The Umbra agents froze.
For the first time—
They felt fear.
Cael stood calmly.
Unmoved.
Untouched.
Unchallenged.
The lead Umbra agent stepped back slowly.
"…Retreat."
They understood.
They could not win.
Not here.
Not against him.
One by one, they vanished into the city's shadows.
Gone.
The wind calmed.
Aeralis landed beside Cael.
Elior stood frozen.
He had never seen such power.
Not from a trainer.
Not from a Pokémon.
Cael turned to him.
"You chose to fight."
Elior nodded.
"I won't abandon my partners."
Cael's eyes shifted to Lunashade.
"…And they chose you."
He walked toward the Windfall Gym.
"If you wish to stand against enemies like them…"
He stopped at the entrance.
"Then earn the strength to do so."
He looked back at Elior.
"Challenge my Gym."
The doors opened behind him.
The wind howled once more.
Elior looked at Pyrolyn.
Voltiger.
Lunashade.
They had seen true strength.
Now—
They would chase it.
Together.
And the journey continues.....
