The sun had set over Emberfall City, painting the sky in deep oranges and purples. The city glowed faintly from the molten streams that ran beneath its streets and from the Emberfall Gym in the distance, its black stone walls shimmering.
Elior sat on a cliff overlooking the city, the Ember Badge in his hand. He placed it carefully beside his other two badges, the glow of the fire reflecting off the medals.
"Three badges… we've really come a long way," Elior murmured, looking at Infernyx, Thundrion, Lunashade, and Riolu.
The Pokémon all rested nearby, their eyes alert yet calm. Their bonds with Elior had grown stronger than ever after the battle with Pyrotherion and the Emberfall Gym challenge.
Elior's mind wandered back to the titan battle:
Infernyx had grown beyond his expectations.
Thundrion had learned to strike with precision and control.
Riolu had finally mastered its aura, showing strength and determination.
Lunashade had stayed by his side silently, a shadow of calm focus.
"We're ready for whatever comes next," Elior said, feeling a surge of resolve.
But even as he spoke, the distant rumble of the volcano reminded him that Pyrotherion still roamed deep inside. And beyond that, the shadows of Team Umber continued to stir.
Far away, inside a hidden base, Commander Varkis observed the city through multiple monitors.
"The boy has earned another badge… and he survived the titan," Varkis said, a slight frown on his face.
Behind him, a shadowed figure slowly stepped forward. Its eyes glowed faintly, reflecting intelligence and power far beyond anyone Elior had faced.
"Interesting," the figure murmured. "So the boy with Resonance has appeared in Emberfall… and he grows stronger. Prepare the next phase."
Lightning flashed across the room, illuminating the mysterious figure completely for the first time — a shadowed visage, half-hidden in darkness, but undeniably commanding.
Elior looked at the city below, feeling both pride and anticipation.
He whispered. "Our journey isn't end… it's only just beginning."
Infernyx, Thundrion, Lunashade, and Riolu all looked at him, ready to face whatever comes next.
Above Emberfall City, the night sky stretched endlessly. Somewhere beyond the horizon, Pyrotherion stirred, Team Umber plotted, and Elior's true journey as a trainer with Resonance was about to escalate.
