Livia was awakened by the loud clanging of her cell door. When she opened her eyes, a warrior was standing there, having apparently hit the door to wake her up.
Livia had shifted back to her human form at midnight, giving Lilly a chance to rest, cause she knows she's not getting better.
Last night, after shifting back, she was struggling to tend her wounds, and now, it was still throbbing in pain.
The warrior informed her, that she would be taken to face the council of the Blood Moon Pack, as the Alpha needed her presence.
Livia let out a sigh, knowing that Aldrake would use her as a display to assert his dominance.
Lilly's voice echoed in her mind with anger, > "I really wanted to kll that bstard! But, let's play nice for now, Livia. Let's be good to your husband - I mean, to that b*stard, and after that, let's run away."
Livia agreed, seeing this as an opportunity to escape. If the Mood Goddess lets them escape, she'll be so glad and never come back here. She made up her mind, and she had decided to turn her back on everything.
She wouldn't be swayed by her decision, because her own well-being and Lilly's were more important to her than anything else.
Livia waited for only a few minutes before the warrior returned and dragged her out of the dungeon again.
She was still struggling to walk due to the wounds she sustained from the punishment the day before.
As they walked, the pack members cast her various glances, treating her like a lower-class person. Some of them looked at her with disdain, while others seemed indifferent.
The warrior dragged her again, this time to the throne room. When she entered, she saw Aldrake sitting proudly on his throne, exuding confidence. Livia wanted to wipe that confidence off his face!.
The way he sat on his throne made him look like a good leader, as if he were a person of impeccable character, and his hands were clean.
Livia's anger simmered as she gazed at Aldrake, who seemed to be enjoying his power.
> "Control your anger, Livia," Lilly cautioned. >"Remember, we need to play well like a kitten for now, so we can find a way to escape," Lilly said in her mind.
"I know, Lilly, but I just can't help the anger building up in my heart, especially since he's right in front of me!" Livia replied, her anger and frustration evident.
She yearned to bridge the gap between her and Aldrake, to drag him down from his throne, with a sense of righteous indignation, as if his intentions were pure and clean.
As she throws him glares, Aldrake spoke to her, "Good to see you're here. We've just finished discussing the visit of the council from the Blood Moon Pack. And I'm sure you know your role in this, Livia." Livia remained silent, her sharp gaze fixed on Aldrake.
"You've changed, Livia. I've noticed that since you returned from the party, you've become bolder and more willing to talk back to me. You've become more confident, which you couldn't do before because you were so focused on your love for me. And now, you're keeping your mouth shut?" Aldrake said with a smile, which made Livia take a step forward to attack him.
However, she was quickly restrained by two warriors who pinned her to the ground with a thug. If no warrior was holding her back, she wouldn't hesitate to attack.
She would fight until she was breathless. But she was certain that she wouldn't regret getting hurt or even dying, because she would have fought for what mattered.
"Everyone can change when they get tired, Aldrake," Livia said firmly, her voice filled with resentment.
Aldrake stood up from his throne and walked towards her, his eyes locked on hers. Livia's eyes blazed with anger, and she could feel her face burning with rage.
"You're right. But I just can't believe it. You changed so quickly, as if your head was hit and you forgot how much you loved me? I don't believe you, Livia. Maybe this is just your way of getting my attention..."
Aldrake said, but Livia cut him off, "---and who do you think you are, to waste my time on you? Yes, I admit that I loved you more than anything, but that was before!" Livia's voice was firm, and her teeth were clenched in anger.
"Don't be so full of yourself, Aldrake. Just because I loved you, doesn't mean it will last forever. I was st*pid, yes. I turned a blind eye and numbed myself just to stay beside you, but like I said, people change...and that's what I did. And, can you guess why I chose to change?" Livia's voice was laced with venom as she broke free from the warriors' grasp.
They were about to grab her again, but Aldrake raised his hand, signaling them to stop.
"Tell me, then. I want to hear your lies, Livia. We both know you can't forget your love for me..."
"---but I'm doing it now, Aldrake. Who do you think you are for me, to continue begging for your time, attention, and love? Yes, I used to beg you, but I've woken up from my delusion that loving someone like you is a big mistake! You're nothing but a piece of sh*t..." Livia didn't finish her words before Aldrake slapped her hard, causing her to fall to the ground again.
The words that Livia said, are like a bomb. It was unexpected to hear those words from the woman who is crazy over him.
Livia laughed while holding her cheek. "You know nothing but to hurt me, so how can I not get tired? But it's okay, at least I know now, what it feels like to be tired of loving someone who doesn't value me, and only cares about their reputation and name. You know what?" Livia stood up and looked Aldrake straight in the eye, she's crying but no pain at all.
"Why don't we just end this, Aldrake? Why don't you just reject me? Maybe Amber is your second fated mate..."
"---don't drag Amber into this!" Aldrake's angry voice only made Livia laugh harder.
"Right. She's that important to you, huh? You don't even want her name to be mentioned. Well, I have a point here, Aldrake. You can now have the chance to make it public what was going on between you two. Aren't you happy with that, huh? Why don't you try it? Maybe I'm telling the truth here. Grab the opportunity, reject me...." Livia's words were cut off again, this time by her father's intervention.
"Shut up, Livia! Don't you have any shame left? Your sister doesn't even know what's going on, and you're still dragging her into your problems!" Livia's attention turned to her parents.
"My problems? Do you hear what you're saying, Father? Me and Aldrake wouldn't have problems if you hadn't adopted that woman! Everything that's happening here is her fault! Why won't you believe me? She's manipulating you!" Aldrake was about to slap her again, but one of the council members intervened.
"That's enough. The council from the Blood Moon Pack might see the marks on her face. She needs to look presentable when she faces them." Aldrake reluctantly lowered his hand.
"Take her to the room and have the ladies attend to her. She needs to look presentable for the council." The warriors obeyed, grabbing Livia's arms tightly.
As they were about to leave the throne room, the door suddenly opened, and the person they had been discussing walked in.
