I adjusted my glasses as Rina stepped in, her perfume wafting through the room. I did not raise my head while she took a seat in front of me.
â"The full-body reports are back," she said. Something in her hoarse, raspy voice made my pen pause against the paper.
â"Is something the matter?" I questioned.
â"Just some unprecedented elements I think you'll need to note."
âI glanced up, eyeing the report in her hand, before returning my gaze to the document that still preoccupied me. My mind still reeled from the revelations of a mere few hours agoâquestions that had yet to be answered. There had to be a plausible explanation, and the maggot would soon be forced to provide the answers I sought.

â"Read the report to me," I ordered. She obliged.
