But Sonya had already taken the bait.
She placed her hand on his arm, leaning closer with practiced vulnerability. "I know, love. I just want to help. You're so busy with everything, and I thought I could ease some of that burden by overseeing the smaller details. The household staff, the daily routines." She glanced at me, her expression perfectly sympathetic. "Aurora and I understand each other. Don't we?"
