Seoha's POV
The card in my best friend since kindergarten's hand looks like it's mocking my entire existence.
A very familiar black card with gold letters printed on it, neatly arranged Hangeul spelling out the name; Kang Taesan.
"No…no…no" I say as fear takes over me, and out of panic, I snatch the card out of Minjae's hand and bolt for the door.
He really did find me.
This apartment is far from the hotel and he still found me, if he wasn't dangerous before, he now is and I want nothing to do with the card or its owner.
I'm already in enough mess as it is, and I would hate to add a man with a gun, a daughter, a menacing voice and plenty of tattoos to the list.
I push open the door and find the man who might have delivered the card, he is wearing an all-black suit, his hair is cropped short like he just returned from the military, and he looks back at the sound of my footstep.
"E-excuse me, you have the wrong person" I say, holding the card up and the man looks at me, he is terrifying with the scar the splits his eyebrow and the fresh bruise on his jaw.
"What?" he asks in an angry growl, "this" I say, bringing the card to his face.
"Shin Seoha, may nine, graduate of Jinsik high school" he says and the card in my hand shakes, that's my detail, my full name, my birth date and my high school.
"Who are you?" I ask in fear, and my hands starts to shake even worse.
"A messenger" he says and turns around to keep walking, I stand there for a few seconds in shock, how does he know all those details about me?
Is he a stalker? Did that Kang Taesan of a man send him?
"Excuse me" I call out and run after the man but he doesn't wait, he gets into the elevator and shuts the door before I could get in.
"No…" I say under my breath in panic, turning around to take the steps, the same steps I just took to Minjae's apartment, thinking that I was finally going to safety.
My legs are still weak and shaking from the exercise and when I finally get to the last floor, I see the man going to a parked car.
The status of the car makes me stop in my tracks; a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the sleek design of the body and the rim of the tires are enough to make me question my life decisions.
'Seoha…run, don't go' my omega says and I place my hands on my knees, breathing hard from running on already weak legs.
I move forward to see who is in the car and I regret it immediately, it's Kang Taesan.
"Y-you" I breathe out when I see him behind the rolled down tinted glass and he lets his eyes move from my face to my neck.
"We meet again, thief" he says and gives me a smile that heats up my blood, still looking down at me, still thinking less of me.
"Who the hell do you think you- arghh!" I scream out as he opens the door suddenly and pulls me into the car and on to his lap.
Immediately I am wrapped up in his scent, stronger than it was yesterday and my omega whimpers at the closeness, the alpha's smile doesn't change as he slides his hand up from my shoulder to my neck and squeezes.
"You don't know how to treat an alpha, little rat?" he asks in a low voice.
"You are not my alpha" I whisper stupidly and he chuckles under his breath and my entire body freezes as he presses his gun to my side, "I am not your alpha, but you can steal from me?" he asks.
The cold alpha holds eye contact with me as he presses it more.
"I asked you to fucking sleep and you walked out, Shin Seoha" he says my name with a chilling authority, "I did what you asked, I returned your card"
"My daughter wants you" he interrupts me and I freeze in his lap.
"My daughter wants you and you are going to submit to me" he says and I shake my head, to refuse to let myself submit to this dangerous man, "I want nothing to do with you" I hiss at him with all the braveness I can muster, and he chuckles.
The chuckle is deep and full of dark promises underneath, I can smell the change in his scent and my omega whimpers, squirming to get away.
"You're begging to be put in your place" he growls and I hold my breath, "I am asking to be left alone, please, let me go, I did wrong yesterday and I'm sorry" I say, still on his firm lap and he exhales before releasing my neck.
"Fine, go" he says and I scramble to get out of the car, but the interior design confuses me, I have never been in anything like this before and I don't know how to open the door.
The alpha doesn't move to assist me, he keeps watching me with those eyes, hooded, studying and heated as I struggle.
"I'm not a forgiving man, Shin Seoha" he says and I freeze again.
"You've stolen from me twice" he says and I look back at him, twice?
"Kang Taesan-ssi…"
"You will pay back what you owe, no one steals from me and gets away with it" he says and leans into my space till I am pressed against the door, his breath warms my skin as I shake under his eyes.
Even through our clothes, I feel his heat melting me, and his scent possessing me.
I hear a click behind me and in seconds, I fall backwards to the floor, I groan as I hit concrete before pulling myself up.
Without apology, the alpha shuts the door of his car and rolls down the window.
His eyes are red as he looks at me this time around.
"Run along little thief" he says, head tilted slightly as he adds, "you will come back to me"
It doesn't sound like a threat…it sounds like a fact.
