Seoha's POV
"Nine…"
The alpha's voice says, effortlessly counting and ignoring the panic in my pheromones, the burnt smell in my vanilla.
"Wait, please, please wait" I plead, the closeness of him makes me squeeze my eyes shut…maybe, just maybe if I pretend, he's not here hard enough…I'd wake up from this nightmare…right?
I open my eyes again and he's still here, his scent is still teasing my nostrils, and the sound of his soft breathing is still making its way into my ears.
"Choose your next words wisely, thief" the terrifying alpha advises but doesn't move away from me, and I turn my head to the side to avoid him as best as I can.
I really can't look him in the eyes, I will break even worse than I'm already breaking right now, Kang Taesan is asking my opinion when he doesn't truly want it from me.
My fate is sealed, it won't matter if I say no or yes, either which way I will end up doing what he wants.
"I'll do it" I say and he nods once before pushing himself away from me.
The tall man straightens his back before he returns to his seat and sinks into it, the way he sits is lordly in a way that is commanding, he places his hands on his cane and eyes me through curtain of dark hair that falls over his brow.
"Wise choice, thief" he says.
"I-I'll work for you, I'll go home with you" I say in one breath, hoping to deliver what I have in mind without bringing even more damage on myself, "but, what happens if I don't want lie to her?" I ask and he blinks once.
Kang Taesan stares at me like I'm speaking to myself, it's almost like he didn't hear me, but I see the faint red glow of his alpha eyes.
"What happens?" I ask, I'm trying to present myself as brave, maybe this will be the edge I will have before I am swept deeper into this debt, but my words come out as a whisper.
Suddenly there is a knock on the door that startles me, breaking the undeniable tension between Mr Kang and myself, and the alpha's eyes flickers to the door as it opens, giving way for a woman to walk in.
From the strong smell coming from her, I can tell that she's an alpha, she's dressed in all black and a pair of dark sunglasses.
"Sir" she says and Taesan keeps his eyes on her,
They both looks at each other for a few seconds in a silent conversation and when the woman shakes her head once, he lets out a deep and rough growl that makes me whimper, the threating noise isn't directed at me, but it scares me still.
My omega is forced to into the position of submission with his ears pressed behind his ears and my entire body freezes.
"I asked them not to fuck this up" Taesan says and gets up, he leans his weight on his hands that are pressed against the table, "yes sir, but this one was a bit tough" the woman says.
"Fuck it, what is tough about securing a package I already saw through?" Taesan booms and I whimper again, throat closing in on itself, I want to get out of here.
The smell of his pheromone is starting to get so heavy that it feels like there are invisible hands around my neck, "sir, please calm down, our men tired their best" the girl says and Taesan's growl only deepens.
"Fire them all" he says and the woman bows her head, "finding replacement to handle the next few packages will be hard" she says and the alpha shuts his eyes to let out a breath, he looks like he's calming himself.
"Fine, I'll do it myself" he says calmly and picks up his cane, the simple long rod-like structure in his hand looks like something beautiful and that's when I notice the tiger tattoo on the back his hand.
Who exactly is this man…
"If I don't get it on my table by tomorrow night, it will rain genitals and organs" he says coldly and tugs on his suit jacket once.
He must have forgotten about me, the tall man walks to the door where I am still pinned by invisible hands and pauses, he looks down at me like a forgotten lab rat.
'It would rain genitals and organs' my heart race picks up but I don't move, I dare not move, my omega biology betrays me.
"Yuki, he works for me now, tell him everything that he needs to know" Taesan says and locks eyes with me, he doesn't say a word, and I don't say a word…I can't, my whole body is waiting for the command of an alpha.
"Get out" he says lowly and I shoot out of the seat to move it away.
Once he's gone, the female alpha, Yuki, eyes me like a poor thing.
"You are the card thief?" she asked, "I am Shin Seoha" I say, voice breaking from how fast everything is happening, each second that passes by shows me just how much danger I'm in.
"Shin Seoha, pay attention, I'll only say it once" the female alpha says with a scowl and I nod my head twice, tired already, willing even to go back to job hunting…what did I ever do to end up here?
Tears well up in my eyes but I force them down.
"First of all, Mr. Kang doesn't accept slacking" she says and I nod, keeping my head down, "second, you are to stay with him always" she says and I wince at the thought of always being near that one man.
"Third, he comes first" he says and I nod my head again, he has made that one detail clear in our brief meeting, the air in the room is his, the word to be spoken is his, everything is his.
'Seoha…run' my omega makes a feeble attempt us to protect us but it's too late…there is no way out.
I really did steal from the wrong man.
