Suddenly, Damon swayed and hit the nearby wall. His face lost its colour as the backlash from expending all his mana began to hit him.
'At least I didn't pass out this time...' he thought to himself, though he truly wasn't far from it. The lightheadedness he was experiencing right now was hard to ignore.
"Damon..."
Kitsune moved quickly beside him, offering support, but he waved her off as he forced himself upright.
"I'm fine..." he murmured, his voice becoming less strained with each word, "Though I will have to work on the efficiency of that ability," he added, more to himself than to Kitsune.
For the next few hours, Damon allowed his mana to replenish. The wait felt long, especially since he had countless ideas of how to utilise his new ability, theories he wanted to test, but there was no skipping the natural recovery time, at least not without potions, which Kitsune had mentioned.
