The notifications came faster now, but Damon couldn't hear any of them. His entire focus was locked on understanding the mechanism behind it, not just watching it happen, but comprehending how exactly it did happen.
Countless questions began to flare up in his head. Why did the threads break where they did? What did the different patterns mean? Why were some threads broken while others were replaced?
He didn't have an answer to any of these questions, not yet. But there was a logic to it, that much he was certain of.
Suddenly, an idea began to form in his head.
'If I can understand what makes the class evolve... could I-'
The thought froze mid-formation as the idea sounded too ridiculous to even think about. Yet still... he couldn't help but wonder.
