I want to climb the tower is the first thing a player thinks once they awaken and that is one of the many reasons for the 40% fatality rate of tower climbers.
This was a reality Kaelen knew yet he wanted to try and climb the tower not because of madness but because of confidence because of the skills he had gotten.
"It's not going to be easy Kaelen." Lucian said in such a manner that it sounded like a taunt.
Kaelen looked at the ceiling before speaking up smugly "I know it's not going to be easy but it will definitely be easier than your hobby won't it Lucian."
"Ofcourse but do you even know anything about the towers or anything about how the players work?" Questioned Lucian.
Kaelen not too sure himself spoke up "Well no, but they give a brief explanation to the new players that will join the tower don't they?".
"Well just look it up idiot." Ironically said by the groups idiot Varkas.
Kaelen took out his old phone and searched whether the government gave a explanation to the new players.
Yes ofcourse they did who would want their players to die and lose military power the explanation given to players were called lecture ceremony and nearest one to him was in 3 hours.

Kaelen drove to the nearest tower to his house. The tower in itself was a beautiful building containg statues of gods fighting dragon that coiled around the entire tower.
The tower was tall no, the word tall didn't do it justice it was beyond tall it was just too big, it pierced the clouds and nobody could bend their neck high enough to look at the end of the structure.
Kaelen arrived at the site which could only be described as crowed there were at least a 1000 players in front of all those players a barely visible stage was present.
"Damn these many people awaken their unique powers everyday it's insane" Thought Kaelen
"D-do we have to compete with th-thes-these many people Kaelen?" Said a nervous Tristan from the inside of Kaelen's mind
"Yep that's the amount of people we will have to surpass Tristan." Said another voice
"I d-don't think th-that we can d-do i-it with these many people." Said Tristan ever so hesitantly
"Shut up you guys the lecture is about to start." Kaelen said as he tried to control the Chaos of his mind.
A man walked up the stage his hair silver from age, his appearance was sharp, half of his face was covered by a mask that was clad in a golden substance, the mask covered one of his eyes, he wore a white suit and looked quite handsome.
Kaelen thought he had seen this person somewhere before but before he could remember the man started speaking into a mic
"Hello players, some of you might know who I am and some of you might not know who I am but let me introduce myself I am Elowen Slyas a rather small player." said the man the silence of the chattering crowd was deafening.
"Elowen Slyas Elow.." Kaelen tried to remember and then it clicked
"OH MY GOD." Kaelen who had forgotten this man's name but he had remembered his nickname "The Marble Aegis"
Elowen Slyas was a tanker of the Mythos rank the 4th strongest rank and he was giving them a lecture. Garrick an alter of Kaelen was a huge fan of Elowen ever since they were little Garrick started to practiclaly vibrate with excitement.
Elowen was there during the 5th Olympian rank dungeon break and he defended it while being a rank lower.
That Elowen Slyas was giving a lecture Kaelen couldn't believe his luck since he was getting a lecture from a player that even pro player look up to.
"So without further ado let us begin with the lecture." Elowen said
He started walking front and back the stage with the mic still in his hand
"People who awaken unique abilities are called players that much must be known to all of you but how does a player strengthen such abilities?" Asked Elowen
A man in front of Kaelen raised his hand Elowen pointed to him and the man spoke
"By collecting experience point by killing monsters of dungeons and clearing trials in the tower." Said the man
"That is true to an extent if you kill monster and clear trials you can level up but to level up your unique abilities you must understand what defines those abilities." Elowen said with a gleaming look in his eye which turned down after no one understood what he said.
"You will understand what I said after you level up your unique ability. Let's begin with he next topic what is the tower, 40 years ago there existed a game called Rigid and somehow that game came into real life and the rest is history. Now let's begin with oddities among players the first is some player awaken multiple passives but in return do not awaken any active skills, there also cases of players awakening multiple types of actives. Any questions?" Elowen waited for someone to raise their hand.
A woman raised her hand and Elowen pointed to her and she spoke
"Sir I have a few questions first is, is there any way to awaken new unique abilities ? Are are the unique abilities we possess the only powers we have?" The questions made Kaelen think of these things too
"Great questions by you whoever you are." The crowd chuckled
"And now to answer your questions, yes you can awaken new unique abilities if you rank up and no you can possess more abilities than just your unique abilities and for that to happen you need to study the skill and learn it and once you reach a certain mastery the system will register your hard work as a skill." Elowen took a breath in as if about to deliver a devasting news
