"I brought you here because I want you to dip in, and also because I wanted to have a conversation with you," Enzo said as he held Arabella's hand and led her toward the shimmering water.
Arabella barely heard the second half of his sentence. Her attention was completely captured by the breathtaking lake before her. The water glowed faintly beneath the dim sunlight, silver and blue reflections dancing across its surface like tiny stars trapped beneath glass. The entire place felt unreal, almost magical.
Her eyes widened in awe.
"It's beautiful," she whispered unconsciously.
A small smile tugged at Enzo's lips as he watched her expression soften for the first time that evening.
"Does the water really have healing properties?" Arabella suddenly asked, her curious gaze still fixed on the glowing lake.
Enzo glanced at the water before answering carefully. "I cannot say it doesn't."
Arabella frowned slightly and turned to him. "And you cannot say it does either."
