"I don't have time for your games." She said
"And yet," I replied calmly, "you're still standing here."
She opened her mouth to argue, but stopped herself. I saw the anger flash through her eyes, though she was clearly trying her best to contain it.
Neither of us spoke for several long seconds.
I could still smell the faint orchid scent surrounding her. It was driving both me and Midnight insane.
I reached for the wine resting on the table and poured myself a glass before looking back at her.
"Sit," I said calmly, but she didn't move.
I sighed. "It was an order." I said
She glared at me even harder, I couldn't help but chuckle.
Arabella looked at the empty chair opposite mine before returning her gaze to me.
For a brief moment, I thought she would refuse again. Instead, she slowly pulled out the chair and sat down.
Neither of us touched the food immediately.
The silence between us was confrontational.
